Stay at our Alyeska home away from home!

Alyeska Vacation Home is nestled at the foot of Mount Alyeska in the quaint ski-town of Girdwood; a prime area for skiing, snowboarding, biking, and year round hiking. The local trails are lush boreal rainforests and stunning year-round. Other neighborhood attractions include helicopter tours, heli-skiing, tram rides. Bike, ski, and snowboard rentals are available at the nearby ski resort.

Walk out your front door on our quiet street to many attractions. Find fine dining, family dining, galleries, and live music venues just a few blocks away.

We are located 45 minutes South of Anchorage International Airport. The drive itself from Anchorage to Girdwood is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the United States; with Beluga Whale spottings, Dall Sheep viewing, mountain ranges, boar tide exchanges on the inlet, and incredible ice formations in winter. World-class fishing and whale watching tours are just 45 minutes drive South in charming Seward, AK.

You can find true adventure here, or just relax and enjoy the mountain views.

Know you can feel at home here with all that you expect in a rental home. If you would like, we will assist you with sightseeing recommendations and local trail maps.

We have two well appointed units available throughout the calendar year, which may be rented as separate units or combined for larger parties. Units are fully furnished and outfitted.

This downstairs unit has comfortable seating with a large screen tv, dining area, a kitchen with all supplies, master bedroom suite, second bedroom with two full size beds, washer/dryer, Japanese soaking tub and separate shower.

Each floor sleeps 6 comfortably. We keep an extra floor mat available for use.

It was convenient to the Kenai Peninsula. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had all we needed. It was very roomy. Unfortunately we were unable to use the jetted tub as there were no instructions or obvious controls. Hopefully we left the condition of the house to your liking as there were no instructions for the garbage, linens, etc.

Insufficient heat, old and uncomfortable bed mattresses, not enough bathroom towels for all guests to shower. Advertised as beautiful home in reality, lacked basic maintenance and was falling apart.

Comfortable and close to ski resort

Great Location!

We had a wonderful stay in Girdwood! This rental had lots of extras including a well supplied kitchen and bathroom. It was a great home base for our outings in the area.

The property was in a good place near restaurants etc. There is another apartment above and there was a lot of noise there but other than that it was a very nice stay.

Comfortable spacious home

My husband, grown son and I stayed 2 nights to enjoy hiking and activities in the area. Enjoyed staying in this homeā€¦. Great kitchen and open floor plan, comfortable living room and space. Would stay again!

Great place to stay in in Girdwood

We loved our stay at this VRBO in Girdwood, AK. The home was updated and had everything we needed. Very convenient to everything in Girdwood and just up the road from Alyeska resort. It is also just a short 30 minute drive from Anchorage. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend if you are visiting.

Very pleasant apartment in Girdwood/Alyeska

We found the apartment perfectly suited for our needs. After reading some previous reviews we were a bit concerned but found the apartment spotless, comfortable, very well stocked with everything we needed. Location was great. The huge master bedroom bed was particularly well suited for tall people. We recommend!

Girdwood Getaway

This was a good overnight getaway. The place was very cute and has a lot of room. The heat was off, so it was fairly cold when we first arrived. But once we got the stove going it warmed up fairly quickly. Nice location.

Very comfortable home! Great location! Definitely need to eat at chair 5 delicious!!! It is a bottom unit so you can hear the unit above at times. Didn't bother us at all.

Old property, but accomplishes the task

The property is fairly old and there is a lot of wood rot. We happened to be there when it was warm outside and could only open one window, because the other windows did not have screens.

Updated condo

Thoughtfully decorated modern place in great neighborhood. The only disappointment is that the blinds / curtains didnā€™t block light in the bedroom which was a problem considering Sun doesnā€™t really set , it was a problem falling asleep.otherwise there was attention paid to all the other detail.

Our girls trip

We loved the location and how much space we had for all 3 of us. The bathroom Mirror was on the floor, but we could still use it as a full length. No blender or ice maker, but we made due with what we had. If you use the tub make sure to grab a butter knife to get the plug out. Our overall trip was good though. We enjoyed the restaurants and the breweries. Thanks so much Heidi! I will definitely book with you again.

Loud house

There is a system in this house for water diversion that is so loud and constant, it was a relief to leave! Old flanel "pilly" sheets & extremely cheap mattresses in "multi bed room" were very uncomfortable. Living room, Kitchen & Bathroom were good. Some instruction on washer/dryer combo would have been appreciated.

Girdwood stay

The place was clean with lots of living room space.It was a lower unit and was dark.It basically had no deck space to be able to hang outside.The second bedroom beds were uncomfortable and the room was dark.I probably wouldnā€™t stay here again!

Great location, casual stay

Comfortable stay, perfect location for walking to Alyeska and biking. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Kitchen lacking some essentials like coffee pot, bottle opener/cork screw, plenty of dishes and pans though. Bathtub had a ring of dirt so did not use it and only one chair on back deck, so really no place to sit outside. Be aware this is a downstairs unit, listing is not super clear on that. I think it would be the perfect winter ski crash pad. The wii was fun and plenty of games.

Didn't exactly match the property description or pictures.

There was a blue tarp on the roof upon arrival. The "garden" was completely overgrown and the other areas of the property were also unkept. It may have worked well for someone else but just didn't meet our expectations.

Dirty.

Dirty mud boots at the entrance. Place was not cleaned prior to arrival. Shower had a used soap bar. Hairs in tub and shower. red and black mold on shower liner and curtain. I cleaned liner in order to shower. Kitchen had a bad odor from either garbage disposal or dishwasher. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Used Kleenex box by washer. Someone laundry in basket by washer. Sheets were snowflakes from Christmas time. Itā€™s June. Notified host and she never even offered to send a cleaner. Just insisted she did a deep clean in April. The place needs a deep clean. I requested a refund of the cleaning fee and to ability to check out early. Host never responded just refunded 75$ cleaning fee. This place was the most expensive and the dirtiest of the places we have stayed.

Some good, some bad. Some old some new.

Cute property that could use some major renovations and has so much potential. The living/dining area was new and nicely updated and carpet was freshly cleaned. All the windows have broken seals and needs replaced. The kitchen has all nice new modern appliances and eating utensils however the sink and cabinets are extremely old so you feel like the dishes aren't clean when pulling them out to use them.There also is no window treatment in the kitchen area. The bathroom is a nice size but I had to clean the light switches as they were so dirty I didn't want to touch them, and there is no fan in the toilet area so there is no ventilation. The shower has only a half liner and there is no fan or ventilation so water splashes out which causes the walls to mold. There were no window treatments so had to hang a sheet, and the decking was broken so couldn't sit outside. There were not enough towels for more then 2 people at a time. The bedrooms were clean with new bedding in each. There were limited directions as far as what was expected after leaving. The owner was great about responding. The other unit upstairs is much nicer if available. Luckily no one was upstairs so it was quiet, but if there had been someone up there it would be quite noisy. Overall it was okay for a quick stay but felt like I had to disinfect certain areas.
