You'll find the cottage clean, organized, and thoughtfully prepared with bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen linens, plus basic pantry staples like spices, coffee, and tea.
This is a family friendly cottage, and is not suitable for party weekends.

Our whole family had a wonderful stay. (including kids 5-10, parents and grandparents) Andria made checking in easy and was very responsive with all communication. The cottage was clean and cozy. It was a beautiful spot to be able to relax in the Muskoka chairs on the dock and we enjoyed being able to use the kayaks, paddleboards and paddleboats. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful stay at this cottage. Andria was lovely, showed us around the cottage and left treats for the family. She responded to messages promptly when I had a few questions. Everything we could need was there. She made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. I would recommend this cottage and Andria as a host.

5-Star Stay at Lake Muskoka Family Cottage – Perfect for Families

My friends and I, along with our kids, recently stayed at the Lake Muskoka Family Cottage for three nights, and it was absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect—close enough to town for convenience but still peaceful and private, with beautiful lake views.The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and so cozy. It had plenty of space for all of us, and the kids loved having room to play. The host was very thoughtful, providing most basic supplies, which made our stay even more comfortable. Highly recommend!

Great Stay

Great stay, weather wasn't great but thats in no ones control. Hosts were wonderful. There was a slight delay in the check-in process which was slightly frustrating but otherwise everything was great.

Fun weekend

Me and my family stayed at the lovely Mcvittie for a weekend. Beautiful and well maintained cottage. Above all our host Andria was beyond lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be going back.

We had a wonderful stay at Andria’s cottage! The property was clean, well-stocked, and even more beautiful than expected. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway. Andria was an incredibly responsive and thoughtful host, providing clear instructions and helpful tips throughout our stay. The only hiccup we had was at the very beginning when we struggled to get the transport boat started, but Andria quickly resolved the issue and made sure we were taken care of. We really appreciated her attentiveness and support. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful, scenic setting!

Great friends trip

Me and a group of friends stayed at the cottage and had a great trip. The cottage was clean and had lots of equipment for lounging or water recreation. Andria was very helpful and communicated quickly to support us with any questions we had as well as during the check-in and check-out processes. Would highly recommend this property.

Great Family Cottage

We enjoyed our family Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by all the gorgeous colours of the leaves. The cabin had all the modern conveniences and exceeded our expectations. It was well kept and clean. We enjoyed the proximity to the town. It was very quiet and a great place to rest and relax. Will be back!

Peace and Restoration

Our stay on McVittie Island was magical. The house was very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. I believe that the place was more peaceful as it had to be accessed by boat. It was wonderful to be close to nature and enjoy seeing deer and other wildlife in the garden. We enjoyed the BBQ, s'mores over the firepit, watching the stars on the dock and the water of course.

Amazing Muskoka Cottage Experience

My friends and I had a wonderful time on McVittie Island! Andria and John were extremely welcoming and helpful getting us checked in and were quick to respond with any questions. The cottage was clean and tidy and we got tons of use out of the provided kayaks and paddle boards! Location is perfect as Bracebridge is a quick 10 minute drive away for any shopping or exploring the town. We will certainly be looking to return!

Beautiful Island Log Cottage!

What a wonderful experience! Amazing location right on the lake with breathtaking views from the dock! Our family enjoyed spending the May long weekend at this beautifully designed log cottage; spacious, cozy bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Kids enjoyed the paddleboats, kayaks and canoe. Cottage is privately situated on the island and a convenient short boat ride to the parking area. Andria (the owner) was very helpful with great tips to the local area. Will definitely be back soon!

Stay

The property wasn't clean enough when we arrived, so we had to clean it ourselves. On the first day of our stay, we experienced water issues on the property, which meant we didn't have water for the entire first day and the following day as well. The furniture in the property were so old and dirty and we didn’t like to sit on them, outside was good and we stayed mostly outside of the property. The property manager was nice and acccomadate us for early check in, she was so responsive., we appreciate her.

Amazing all around

What a beautiful property and amazing experience we had. The host, Andria was so welcoming and very responsive to all our questions. Before arriving we were given some friendly reminders which saved us from missing some important things that made our stay even better. Andria left us a nice welcome package and the cottage was super clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for our kids and lots of water toys to choose from which was great for our kids. The fire pit was cozy with nice seating prearranged and the large yard was perfect for playing soccer, volleyball, badminton and they had a trampoline as well. Our kids were never bored including our teenagers and who paddled over to Patterson Kaye for a snack. My wife and I felt relaxed the entire time and will definitely be returning again next year. This is the perfect spot for families. Thanks for making our summer vacation so special.

A relaxing island stay

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful island cottage! The property offered so many activities to keep us entertained, from access to a boat, kayaks, and paddle boats to a badminton net, trampoline, and tons of indoor games. The hammock and swing were wonderful touches, perfect for relaxing after a fun-filled day. The cottage was spotless, and Andria, our host, was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and relaxing weekend. One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to take care of your own garbage disposal by bringing it to a landfill, which involves carrying it by boat on your way back to the parking lot. Also, sound does carry quite easily throughout the cottage, so it’s best suited for guests who are comfortable with each other. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future. Thank you, Andria, for an unforgettable experience!

Relaxing getaway in Muskoka

We enjoyed a nice extended weekend and had great weather with 2 families (including 2 toddlers and young kid). The winner was the trampoline, big yard and fire pit. Nice log cabin, good space for 2 families. The kitchen could use a little TLC, but it all worked out. We did have some inconveniences. Boat transfer was smaller than we thought as the original boat was getting repairs, which meant multiple trips to get over. The new gas tank for the BBQ wouldn't open unfortunately, and no tools to help with that, so we had to get creative with our meals. But Andria was a very responsive and helpful host. We even paddle boated across to enjoy a nice lunch at Seasons.
