Gorgeous Hanalei Bay is just a five-minute drive away and Princeville Shopping Center is nearby. The resort now offers Air Conditioning on a daily use fee. It's optional, for days you feel like you'd like to use it.

All units have washers/dryers, fully-equipped kitchens with everything needed to cook -- utensils, dishes, pots, pans, full-size stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, blender. Since all Wyndham resorts use floating inventory, the units are not assigned to a guest until shortly before arrival. The photos in this listing are representative of the unit type as they are mostly uniform, but not necessarily the exact unit you will be in. Bali Hai has completed a full renovation at the time of making and updating these listings in August 2024.

The resort is fully staffed and provides a relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy your Kauai Vacation. Concierge service is available and maintenance and housekeeping are on site. Attending a timeshare presentation is not required. Linens and towels (including beach towels) are provided, as well as some dish soap, paper towels, coffee, laundry soap, etc.. There are also coolers provided in each unit.

Guests will have access to all resort amenities. Air conditioning is the only amenity which is optional and is available for $20/day.

The front desk staff is available 24/7. Please don't hesitate to call the front desk regarding any maintenance issues to report or to request more supplies like towels, coffee, laundry soap, etc. We are available by phone and email 7:30 am - 4:30 pm daily

Other Resort Information and Policy

ā€¢ Primary renter must be at least 21 years old.
ā€¢ All reservations are subject to Hawaii Timeshare Occupancy Tax (TOT), which is approximately $18/night.
ā€¢ Air conditioning is available for a daily fee of $20/night.
ā€¢ A $250 security deposit is required when checking in, this will be released upon check out minus the TOT and A/C fee if you opt-in.
ā€¢ The name on the reservation must match the name of the first person checking in to avoid issues.

Great Stay

Great communication! Everything is as listed. Rooms were very clean and really nice. We opted to pay extra for the AC and it was worth it as we were not use to the humidity. Beautiful resort includes warm pool, hot tubs, gym and food trucks on site! We would definitely come back!

Great Property

We enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Bali Hai Villas. The property has many amenities to offers including pools, bbq, volleyball, and full service reception and concierge. The only drawback of this location is you have a beautiful 45 to 60 minute drive to many island activities.

The unit we stayed in, 2 of us, was very comfortable, ultra-clean and private - with amenities for laundry and cooking. The bed was super-comfy with quality linens and plenty of pillows. Housekeeping service/support was friendly, responsive and excellent.

It's ok if you don't mind....

The things I liked about the unit was that it was pretty clean and no odors and the surrounding area is nice. There is also shopping and food places within a 10 - 15 min drive. That is about all we liked about it and would not stay here again due to the following issues. It is very hot in there. Shame on me for believing people that said "oh it's January, Winter in Hawaii your room won't be hot at all. " That is just NOT true. You have to have your windows and blinds open all the time to get air to circulate and cool the unit down. When we would get back to the room in the late afternoon 3pm - 4pm the unit was stifling. The outside day temp was 81deg. If you have to blow dry your hair to go out for dinner you will be sweating. To be honest and fair I will say It did cool down at night late at night. The other issue is that you are literally in a fish bowl. You have no privacy in these units because there is no air conditioning so you can hear and see everything and everyone else can see and hear you. We could hear peoples full conversations that were across the walk way in their rooms and could completely see in there rooms. Its not that the other guests were overly loud its just everyones windows are open. So even a normal conversation is completely heard. If a baby is crying, throwing a tantrum you hear it all. Lastly renter beware....the pictures you see on this ad is NOT the room you will get. This ad is showing pictures for what Bali calls their Presidential Room. When you get there they give you a Delux Room. The only thing I know for sure that is one of the main difference between the two is that the Presidential has stainless appliances. There may be more differences but I do not know what they are because we complained, (rightly so) and got the room featured in this ad (which is what we paid for). I am baffled how anyone can post pictures of a certain room, people leave reviews for that room and then you get there and they tell you that is not the room you are reserved for. They also told us this happens ALL THE TIME.

Extremely Disappointing

Unfortunately, lesson learned (we should have asked and confirmed) we were placed in a downstairs unit; all pictures indicated it was an upstairs unit. During our first night, guests arrived at the unit above us (at 11:30pm after our full day of flying) that had small children. Now, I could go on and on here but it's just not worth the effort. We were told to call security at 10:00pm if the noise continued the next day AND THE REST OF OUR STAY. No options for a move and no accommodation whatsoever...we had prepaid our stay and locked ourselves in our own prison. We couldn't leave, since we had prepaid and ON A BUDGET, we couldn't get assistance from management or otherwise despite this being an adult celebration trip. Noise and screaming children for 5 days is not my idea of a vacation when spending my hard earned money. Not acceptable in any way.

The only negative is that we thought we had booked a unit with two beds in one of the rooms. Upon check-in we were told the second bedroom had a queen and if we had specifically wanted two beds they would have needed to be told beforehand. Other than the issue the stay was very good. The location was excellent and the condo was clean.

We had a few maintenance things that needed tending to ( fire alarm batteries, running toilet) Maintenance was quick to come out and fix the issues. Very quiet, very private place. Great access to the pool. Check in was very slow. Need more people at the front desk. Check out was much easier. Kitchen had everything we needed. The only complaint was that one bedroom was a west facing room, and it got very hot in the afternoon.

Great Location!

We really enjoyed our second visit to Kauai. This property was very clean and staff was easy to work with. The location was convenient to the grocery store, shops and restaurants. The North side of the island is our favorite and this location didnā€™t disappoint. The only thing which was not the owners fault and more a VRBO issue was the listing stated AC. This particular property only has a few units with Master bedroom AC units. The unit was very hot when we arrived and took a few hours to cool down. We did survive without AC due to cooler temperatures at night. As I understand the lack of AC is normal for Kauai the unit should have locking sliding screen patio doors for security reasons. When we would leave during the day or went to sleep at night we had to close the doors and it would a couple of hours to get it cooled down once we were back/up for the day. We asked for fans and they were brought to us quickly. We would definitely stay at this location for future visits.

We enjoyed the resort. Had everything we needed. We did have to move out of our original until into a second unit for some reason. That was not shared with me prior to check in. The pros for me, we paid half the price of a single resort hotel room with similar location. We loved shopping at the fish market and farmers market then cooking meals in our two bedroom unit.

The property was clean, spacious and had all the amenities necessary for an island visit.

The property was more than enough room for two people - with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large sitting/kitchen area and washer/dryer. The lovely Hawaiian soaps in the bathroom was a really nice touch! We also appreciated the coffee to get us through our first morning before we had a chance to get groceries. The two lanais was a great feature. Overall, the complex was nice and well kept. Felt very tropical and only a short drive from the Princeville shopping center. We had a lower level property which overall was great for our short stay but was configured in such a way that it didn't get a lot of light. We kept the doors, windows and blinds open for the light and breeze but then could see/hear our neighbors coming and going.
