Come spend a few days in our warm and welcoming home. You'll feel right at home here in Chula Vista, California.

Whether you're visiting family or friends, looking for adventure, romantic getaway, or business trip, we are close to some of San Diego’s best shopping, dining, and recreation areas. Downtown San Diego is 15 minutes away and Mexico is just a quick 10-minute drive South.

Remodeled duplex in a quiet and safe neighborhood.

This apartment is a duplex unit and shares a wall with the adjacent unit. The apartment has its own private entrance and backyard.

It offers;
- Air Conditioning and heating
- Two bedrooms (Bedroom #1 with one King or two Twin beds. Bedroom #2 has one Queen bed)
- One bathroom
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Smart TV in each bedroom with large 4K TV in the living room - Netflix and hulu for local broadcast.
- Living room with sofa-bed (full size) and second sofa has three recliners
- Free WiFi
- Private fenced backyard
- Parking for two cars inside the property; plus plenty of street parking
- Access to washer and dryer in the garage

We are close to several major shopping centers; Downtown San Diego/Gas Lamp is 15 minutes away and Mexico is just a quick 10-minute drive.

We are conveniently located within a short driving distance to a wide range of restaurants, local breweries, and popular sites such as;

Public transportation is also within a 5-min walk.

You have full access to all areas of the apartment, as well as the front and back yards.
You are welcome to use anything that is in the house.

We give our guests space by using a self-check in process; however, I can meet you in person and show you around if you prefer. I will provide the code to the lock-box two days before your arrival.

Our property is located in the old part of Chula Vista; however, the neighborhood is safe and clean. We are close to shopping, restaurants, and freeways.

Public transportation is also within a 5-min walk.

Great house, supper cute and clean, location is a little tough if you're looking for it in the dark as it's behind another house, but didn't cause too many issues. We had our dog with us and it was great for him too! The back yard is well contained and I didn't need to worry at all. Beds were comfy and so we're the sofas. Kitchen was well equipped. Check in and check out were super easy.

Nice, quiet neighborhood!

The property is "half-of-a-duplex" in a very quiet neighborhood. It has a 2-car parking in an inner lot accessed by a wide driveway. Additonal parking is available in the main street. I rented the place for a niece and 2 nephews, but it can accommodate up to six people (two bedrooms, plus two sofa beds). My guests were always well rested in the morning!The hosts/owners were easy to communicate with, answers promptly, and were very accommodating! My niece and nephews loved the place, and we will definitely try to get it again in future needs!

Easy with our 3yr old

Stayed here with our 3 year old, who loved eating outside and running around the fenced backyard. It’s a 15 minute walk from a great playground as well.The property was as described: clean, quiet, safe. Maricarmen was also a great host: clear, timely communication.

THE BEST property for my family and dogs!

Maricarmen was an amazing host and right next door if any issues arose! Her property was ready for pets with a covered couch and a fenced in yard. We are military moving to a new location and had just moved out of our most recent home and she was there to help our transition with a fully equipped home. Plenty of parking space for our 2 big Toyotas! Overall, GREAT stay and it was exactly what we needed

Giraffe house

all the comfort of home but we missed the lack of cable network for watching live football and hockey.. Very nice interior theme with giraffe cuteness throughout.

Perfect!

This stay was just what we needed and more! Everything was perfect. Both the front yard and back yard spaces were lovely. The kitchen is awesome and the house was clean and the Hostess was very kind! Thank you Maricarmen for being so accommodating!

Great Place to Stay

We were very pleased with our stay here. The house was very well equipped and clean. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want and Maricarmen also provided the little extras in the bathroom that you may have forgotten to pack. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows which was nice because we both use more than one pillow at night. The living room furniture had a reclining sofa which we really appreciated since that's what we are used to in our own home. We didn't bring a pet, but pets are welcome and she even provided food and water dished for your pet. I would definitely recommend this home for you next trip to the San Diego area.

Amazing space in a great location!

Very spacious and a great layout with a fantastic private yard! Wish we had more time to hang out at the house and take advantage of the full kitchen! Will definitely plan to book here again next time we are in town!

Giraffe House Meets all Your Needs

Maricarmen's Giraffe House has everything a small party might need to visit the San Diego area. Maricarmen was an excellent hostess. She arrived when needed but was unobtrusive and always helpful. The property is secluded off the main road with two good sized bedrooms (large closets), a living room and an exceptional kitchen. The back and front yards have been obviously curated with plants and vegetation. Both front and back outside areas are restful and private. Perfect for relaxing. There is only a single bathroom that is nice and fully functional but could be an issue for bathroom intensive parties. However, the hot water never, ever, ran out and we were a party of three showering every day. Honestly, looking at the picture of the Giraffe House makes me miss it already.

Wonderful!

The accommodations are absolutely perfect and affordable. We did not do any cooking to speak of but the cabinets were well stocked with spices, coffee, dishes, pans etc. Actually anything you would need to prepare meals. More than plenty paper goods which is rare these days. Usually you get 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels and maybe a couple trash bags. They went over and above on supplying these items which they deserve an A+ rating for. The neighborhood is very easy to navigate but also close to the sights that we were seeking to take in. We had a wonderful vacation and I attribute part of that to the outstanding accommodations. We would like to make another trip to San Diego and if we do this will be the unit I will try to rent.

5 Star Giraffe Home

Our stay was very comfortable and perfect for our new year stay. Giraffe theme was very tastefully done. Additional features e.g. toothpaste, cotton buds, cooking oils and spices added to the thoughfulness of the host. Breakfast in the back gatden was lovely. Didn't get ttime to use the front shared seating area apart from taking photographs. Safe neighbourhood with many homes decorated for Christmas which gave it a festive feel. Shops in walking distance, plus buses and trains to get to and from San Diego Bay. Visited friendly local Baptist Church. Thank you for sharing your home.

Relaxing

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is so relaxing. The pergola is a plus. Clean, tidy, and feels like home. Highly recommended.

AMAZING!

Pictures don’t do this place justice! It was such a cute 2 bedroom. This place with fully stocked with kitchen supplies, spices, toiletries… full size shampoo and conditioner… extra toothbrushes… everything! There was coffee & tee available to make. The beds were so very comfortable! And the couches were so comfortable, so many nights where one of us fell asleep on the couch! TVs in all the rooms, plenty of parking and a washer and dryer WITH DETERGENT! Also cleaning supplies and extra supplies If needed in their garage. The backyard was cute as well as the front. I know people mentioned the neighborhood looking sketchy but NEVER once did we feel scared. It was actually super quiet!! It was just us two moms with our two 9 year old baseball boys. We met the neighbors: next door, in front and one on the side with the pool (we stayed for 7 nights). If you rent a Tesla there is a super charger station very close and a lot of restaurants near by! We also met and were in constant communication with MariCarmen our host. She was also so very very sweet and open with communication. We asked for an ice-chest and she had one available in less then 30 mins. I cannot stress enough how wonderfully our stay was. We travel a lot and this was by far my favorite little place. I hope to come back to visit!
