Davidson Family Farm vacation rental

The Davidson Family Farm is a gorgeous secluded Washington County home nestled on 65 acres of serene countryside. Although this charming farmhouse was built way back in 1860 as part of a dairy farm, the property's history takes us back thousands of years ago when a glacier carved the vale the Davidson Family Farm sits in today.

Inside the farmhouse, all the modern amenities of home can be found including dishwasher, washer and dryer, televisions, and wireless Internet. The home boasts two full baths, one half bath, four private bedrooms and a fifth bunk room capable of accommodating six guests.

Great Family Reunion

Beautiful property with space for our big family and for our family that lives close by to come and visit. We enjoyed sitting together and playing games and cooking out. Wonderful week!!!

Family Gathering for Nearby Wedding

We lucked out finding a large house so close to my nephew's wedding in Johnsonville. The grounds were gorgeous and we enjoyed a few days soaking up the fall foilage. There were 9 adults and the house had plenty of space. Beds were comfortable and we all had hot water for showers. Guests should know that this is a multigenerational house that is used by the family. The house is VERY cluttered, with no place to put your clothes or personal items. Dressers are full as well. Kitchen cupboards and frig were full of food. Kitchen and mudroom need a good cleaning and food toss. Any items left for family use should be put in tins as mice are feasting and leaving evidence. Check in/out instructions would be helpful. A request for locating hair dryers went unanswered. We did find one, but it had a short. This home has clearly been loved and just needs some attention to make it a great experience for paying guests.

Peaceful and remote

Our family gathered from all over the world for a wedding in Troy. There were 10 of us and everyone was comfortable. 16 would be a stretch, but possible I suppose. It was perfect for casual family time, and easy enough to get into Troy as needed. Our only (minor) complaint was that the cabinets and closets are a mess, and it was difficult to find extra pillows, paper towels, etc... Also, it would be good to have some board games and outdoor games available (badminton, croquet), and also helpful to have a note for guests on what is expected - e.g. what owner would like for us to do before leaving. I had asked about pantry items, only to be told there were none, but in fact there were all kinds of basic items, like salt, pepper, sugar... Oh, and there is a coffee maker in the listing, but it barely works and there aren't any filters. I think that would be a basic upgrade for an otherwise really wonderful place. Full of charm and a setting that cannot be topped for its peaceful beauty.

Perfect rental for attending a local wedding

Perfect location for a couple of families to stay at during a nearby wedding. Quaint, charming, quiet and picturesque. An old farm house that has all the perfect imperfections to make it feel like you are transformed back to the days of when this was a working farmhouse. Any questions were immediately answered by owners. Loved it!!!!
