Our newly renovated cabin is sure to please. If you are looking for seclusion, this is it! We are located on a beautiful winding country road between downtown Boone and downtown Blowing Rock. (4WD recommended in the winter months). We are close to many attractions, great restaurants and shopping, yet, away from it all. Steps to one of the best hiking trails around. ..Mountains to Sea/Boone Fork loop trail is part of the Blueridge Parks trail system and right outside our front door! Locally known as 'Hebron Falls'. Spend the day exploring these beautiful trails. Pack a picnic lunch and bring your fishing pole!

Great Getaway

We loved staying here. Coffee on the deck in the morning was amazing! It was a great location to get to a ton of hikes. Communication with the host was fantastic.

Get away from it all!

Agree with other reviewers that this is 'off the beaten path'. Loved the seclusion. No humidity while we were there and thoroughly enjoyed being in an environment cooler than home. Boone and Blowing Rock are quaint little towns to stroll through. If you want to relax this is the place

Anniversary get away

We absolutely fell in love with this little cabin, we now have a new favorite get away place. We will be back for sure and look forward to it. The only thing that would add to this cabin, this time of year is A/C. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Mountain Getaway

We had a great time despite the rainy weather. The cabin was clean, sufficient for the week. Don't follow Google Maps as it takes you a round-about way.

Great stay for daughter’s Graduation from App State

We throughly enjoyed our stay!!! The Cabin is fantastic and the location was perfect. So peaceful with the sound of a stream and no traffic. Close enough to Boone and Blowing Rock but seems a world away from the crowds.

Secluded and private

Great secluded cabin listed as Boone, but seemed to be closer to Blowing Rock, NC. Very clean and cozy. The uphill driveway can be a challenge without a 4WD, but the location was close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, The Blowing Rock, and Boone, NC

Peaceful Retreat

I absolutely loved my stay. I can sum it up as peaceful and tranquil due to the location. Also, close to Boone and Blowing Rock downtown areas. Wonderful to fall asleep with the sound of the river across the street. Great hiking trail to Hebron Falls and very easy to get to the trail head down the dirt road a bit. Fully stocked kitchen. I forgot foil so if you cook you may want to bring that. It was very clean as well. Great little fireplace. There is not a negative at all. I can't wait to book again.

Quiet Refresh

Third time in the past 10 years we have stayed here. Update has made this one of our favorite spots. House is great. (For 2 people) Location is perfect, quiet yet great for going to Banner Elk, Boone or Blowing Rock. Close to best dining in the area. Hiking is right out your front door. Fireplace, grill, porch, you can not beat this place.

2nd stay just as amazing

This was our second time (of many more to come) staying at this cozy adorable cabin. We love love the location. It’s so secluded and close to a really cool hiking trail. The cabin itself is very clean and stocked with all the essentials. My favorite spot in the cabin is sitting in the adorable chair right in front of the fireplace drinking my morning coffee. Can’t wait until next time.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

My husband and I loved our stay that the Gray Escape! Secluded enough to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but close enough to enjoy all of Boone's offerings. The cabin was well stocked and we enjoyed the beautiful porch seating. We will definitely come back!

Great little cabn

This was a great little cabin. The couch and bed were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for simple meals. It is a long, narrow, windy road up to the cabin and very dark at night but makes for a private and quiet getaway. We would stay here again.

Really secluded, not too far out, privacy. Very clean and set up nice. The TV channels were great (NFL network). Look forward to coming back!

Loved the privacy/seclusion,15mins from dining & entertainment

The cabin was nice, clean and cozy! We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and the wood for the campfire. What a thoughtful touch. Everything was fully stocked! We loved the wrap around porch, we even seen a few deer walking around, which was pretty cool. The driveway is very steep however if you have a SUV and you're a tactical driver it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Peaceful and Private Get Away

Very comfortable, peaceful and private get away spot among all the trees and nature. Would definately stay there again, possibly for a longer stay. A bit off the beaten path... so get all your supplies planned because there's no short running to the gticery store. If I could find a negative it would be the late chevk in. By 5:00PM it was already getting dark. Loved our stay!

Cozy little cottage

4th Beautiful Getaway

As per the title above, this was our 4rh stay here. We love it! Beautiful surroundings. Near Blowing Rock and Boone. Easy driving distance to Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain. Great porch and rockers. Clean.

Cabin in the woods

The cabin was well furnished, comfortable, within walking distance of a nice hiking trail. The only downside was that it was very inconvenient to find the location to take trash when we left. We finally found a spot somewhere In Tennessee

Everything we wanted

This little cabin was spotless and delivered a comfortable relaxing oasis during our two day mountain adventure. The two walking sticks laying just to the left of the front door as we entered were an unexpected treasure and we used them to hike the trails the next day beginning out the front door down the driveway to Hebron Falls and back. The cabin was nicely equipped with glasses, coffee cups, plates, silverware, pots and pans, a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The water from kitchen sink tasted great and we used it to cook with and to drink. The master bed was soo comfortable and sheets were perfectly clean and smelled great! Plenty of towels and washcloths. The jacuzzi tub jets didn't work but that was noted in the vrbo description so we didnt expect it or care. The water was pretty hot:) Netflix worked great! Couch was comfortable enough to watch back to back "Suits". We and our dog really loved every minute of our stay and look forward to coming back!
