French elegance in the Dordogne

Classic and elegant French country residence. Les Brugeaux is a spacious and stylish four bedroom manor house with accompanying three bedroom gîte that can comfortably accomodate two families, three generations or six couples. The property has a large private heated pool, expansive limestone terraces, extensive gardens, potager and fruit trees, a private gym, outdoor bar-b-q, pizza oven, petanque pitch large court yard areas and entertainment area including bar, snooker table, ping pong table and home entertainment. The 1830's limestone residence has been beautifully restored so as to enhance the original features (in particular the generous sized chambres) and to take advantage of the stunning natural vista whilst providing all modern amenities and conveniences.

The property is set amongst rolling fields with its own vineyard yet is only 15 minutes drive from Bergerac airport. The local village of Eymet is a bastide town that comes to life in the summer with the town square featuring alfresco dinning and village markets. The best of fine dining in the Dordogne region is available in the nearby towns and villages and the beautiful wineries of the Bergerac region are on your doorstep.

Fabulous. What a great place to stay ! Even in winter !

The house is really great ! We were a large group, and there is plenty of space for everyone so you can always find a calm place to read or enjoy local wine without the kids around. We were there for new-years week and it was - of course - cold and rainy outside But there are plenty of fire places that made us forget the bad weather. The barn is definetly a real plus ! We had some great movie nigths with the entire familly ! James Bond has no secret for us anymore (Sarah has kindly let in the house the "Ultimate James Bond DVD collection" )! And the bar is a lot of fun of course, specialy in those special Covid days ! There are also great places to visit within a 20 minute drive. What else to add ? - A really nice welcome package with wine from the property. Excellent ! - George, our local contact, always reachable and very helpfull !. Thank you George ! We really loved the place - adults and kids - and we are hoping we can come back soon, in the summer this time so we can enjoy the swinningpool and the pizza oven !

Very charming property

One of the best houses we’ve stayed in

Wow, what a holiday! We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen..we couldn’t have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered by Mark and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We’re already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn’t enough!

It was wonderful to receive such kind words from Hannah. We do put a lot of effort into preparing the property therefore we love to see that effort being appreciated. Hannah and her family are welcome back any time as they were a pleasure to host and Hannah was very easy to communicate with before her stay. As a return guest she will also be entitled to a discount from our current rates.

Fabulous elegant stay

Just returned from a fantastic stay at St -Capraise -d’Eymet . We only had a week at this fantastic house but it was very memorable . The main house and gite have been beautifully and tastefully restored . There is great quality and attention to detail throughout from the lovely terraces/landscaping/pool/vegetable garden to the quality furnishings and equipment . Many a lovely meal was enjoyed admiring the fantastic location from the multiple outdoor seating areas on the terraces. The gite provided a great independent area for teenagers and the well equipped gym was a bonus , plans for a games room will further enhance this great property . We appreciated a lovely welcome package of local wine and produce, another quality touch . Thankyou Mark and Sarah , everything was just perfect , we hope to return again , Rachael

Stunning property in beautiful part of France

This property has the WOW factor! We were blown away by it when we arrived. It is beautifully renovated, and the grounds and surrounding countryside are stunning. The main house is very spacious with a large living room, TV lounge room, and a big kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything that you might need (including 2 great coffee machines and a pantry with essentials that you can use). Also, a lovely large dining table. Upstairs there are 4 big airy bedrooms with very comfy beds, great linen and towels. Plus 3 pristine luxe bathrooms. The views out of every side of the house are idyllic. The outside space too is fantastic: great terraces for eating/relaxing on, beautiful warm clean swimming pool with comfy loungers, herb garden, fire pit, well equipped gym, petanque court, vineyard, landscaped gardens. The gite across from the main house is also lovely and provides 3 extra bedrooms plus additional bathroom, kitchen and lounge. We enjoyed our stay enormously and appreciated the level of detail and care that the owners have put into this house.

Natalie and her group were fantastic guests who looked after the property, communicated with us well in advance of their arrival and clearly appreciated what we are trying to create with Les Brugeaux. We hope that they will stay at the property again.

We are Australians who love travel and appreciate French rural culture and lifestyle. We love the food and wine of the district and are enjoying working with the winemaker who is responsible for the grape vines on the property to create good quality Bordeaux blend wines.

We purchased Les Brugeaux partly because of its location but mainly because of the atmosphere that the property has. The original limestone walls, beautiful gardens and spacious rooms and terraces create a very relaxed and tranquil feel to the residence. Since then we have been upgrading and renovating to create the type of holiday experience that we would expect from a premium rental property.
