We can help you plan a guided fishing trip with the in-house Outfitter. This location also serves as a gateway to the Beartooth Mountain Range, Custer Gallatin National Forest, Yellowstone National Park and Tippet Rise Art Center (a 12,500-acre working sheep and cattle ranch, Tippet Rise presents performances by internationally acclaimed musicians). All are haven for all kinds of wildlife, including elk, moose, deer, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions, fox, wolves and golden marmots. Red-tailed hawks, golden and bald eagles often visit the area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.
Experience Art and music just minutes from Blue Ribbon Run: Tippet Rise Art Center. Located on an 10,260 acre of a working sheep and cattle ranch, Fishtail, MT. Very nice and peaceful location. The view of the rolling hills, mountains in the background and the river running just outside your doorstep was a nice experience first thing in the morning. The house/cabin was very clean and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Stunning scenery & perfect cabin

This was our first trip to Montana, but this has to be one of the most beautiful places in the state. The scenery from the cabin alone far exceeded our expectations. The cabin is perfectly well-appointed with everything you need. The hosts are great and super helpful if you need anything. Highly recommend.

Far more than we expected!

Fishtail was a beautiful place and this rental was the perfect fit. Scenic views in every direction, weather was perfect, people were friendly, and the trout were biting. Close drive to Mystic Lake which is another must see. This is the perfect getaway for solitude, outdoors, scenery, and fishing. We loved every minute! Thank you Donna for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Heaven on earth? Darn close!

Everything you could ever want....and more! Beautiful apartment with all the amenities. We loved the fire pit and the night skies. The river rushes by and lulls you to sleep. The views are incredible. We saw deer, bald eagles, all kinds of birds. The owner goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. She even let me put my car in her garage when it stormed! You ask and she delivers! Great location......Lots to do nearby. Fishtail General Store has supplies and food. Sioux Charley Lake was a great hike. Red Lodge about an hour away. I think we will be back!

Idyllic Retreat

This is as beautiful a setting as anywhere a person could find. Views of the mountain and river and sounds of the river and birds. Super nice accommodations. Spacious, tastefully decorated. Well equipped kitchen. Good faucets and appliances. Good mattresses, good sheets and towels. SUPER nice hosts. Recommend a river trip with the accomplished guide. Easy communications with hosts. We look forward to returning.

Dreamy garden apartment in an unforgettable location.

I stayed here for a week in June. I did not want to leave. The apartment faces down the property line to the Stillwater River and you have full access to the yard and river. Go fish. Inside, it is immaculate and well decorated and the kitchen is well stocked with quality cooking gear. The bedroom is amazing as you can look out toward the river while enjoying a cool breeze and reading in bed. I did not want to leave. If you stay here, you MUST go hike up to Sioux Charley Lake and check the local establishments. You are off the main tack here, and its wonderfully beautiful and quiet. Also, do not use RTE 419 to get there. Take RTE 420. Its a maintained dirt road that follows the Stillwater along a gorgeous valley.

Amazing stay

Great property, great views, great host. Exactly as advertised. Very clean place. Friendly hosts. Remote location was very relaxing. The affiliation with Stillwater Anglers was very convenient as well in being able to arrange a day of fly fishing while we were there.

Wonderful stay!

The property and views are stunning. We had a very relaxing time, the house was very clean and had good basics provided. The property is tucked away from the beaten path, but that’s why we enjoyed it! The hosts were very kind, helpful, and communicative. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great value

A very clean, well equipped, nicely decorated vacation rental. Very close to the river, very soothing to listen to the water. The fishing was tough but as I was driving back home, I decided to try another spot on one of the many fishing access on the Stillwater. Caught 2 Brown Trout and 1 Rainbow Trout within half an hour. This satisfied my trip to Montana.
