FOREST LAKES, AZ. Bunkhouse Rental

This property is nestled on top of the beautiful Mogollon Rim area of Arizona, just 35 minutes from Payson and 20 minutes from Heber. It's close proximity to Woods Canyon Lake, Willow Springs Lake, and Black Canyon Lake allows for fishing, kayaking, and boating. Bring your ATV's to enjoy the many riding trails. This bunkhouse is approx.1,000 sq. feet and located next door to our main cabin.

* Dogs are allowed for an additional fee (2 dog max). Renters must abide by leash law while in the subdivision. NO CATS due to a significant allergy to cat dander. Property is not fenced.
* Smoking allowed outside only. PENDING FIRE RESTRICTIONS.
* Wi-fi
* Smart TV - no local channels.
* Games

The bunkhouse is well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The property and surrounding areas are very nice. We enjoyed our visit there. Issues noticed - the master bedroom bed was hard and noisy, making it hard to sleep in; bedrooms upstairs have no cooling system and were uncomfortably warm at times; the locks to the front screen door don’t work; lastly, the outside grill needs good cleaning and inspection.

Xiomara, Thank you for taking the time to review the property; you provided valuable feedback. I am currently looking into replacing the master bed, the grill has been serviced and cleaned. I wasn't able to reproduce the front screen lock issue, I hope you were able to use the mini-split that is installed downstairs. and the fans upstairs. I am aware that when temps get above 90 degrees, it can get a bit warm, Luckily, this doesn't happen often in Forest Lakes as most homes in Forest aren't equipped with AC due to cooler temps. Again, I appreciate the feedback and thank you for the insight.

The whole house was excellent. Kitchen was stocked better than expected. There are a few things that do need some attention.1). The master bed definitely needs a new box spring as it’s extremely noisy when you turn on it at night. It woke both myself and husband many times during the evening.2). The bathroom needs a light fixture above the mirror and in the shower. It’s way too dark.3). The rug underneath the living room coffee table needs a shampooing. Other than these three items everything else was excellent. Loved that we were able to have our dog. We definitely will be booking another stay in the future.

Great accommodation

The cabin was very clean and organized with a well equipped kitchen. A great home away from home. The owners were extremely welcoming communicative. Would definitely stay there again!

Great time at The Bunkhouse!

The bunkhouse was in a terrific location, close to two of our favorite lakes. The weather was beautiful and the amenities in the bunkhouse were everything we could possibly need. The place was immaculately clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this location to others.

This was a trip for the books ! The owners are the most amazing people ! They were very accommodating and made our trip one of the best up at forest lakes ! The bunkhouse was very clean and had everything we needed ! There was wild life everywhere and the property is very beautiful .Overall , it was a flawless trip that ended in friendship ! We will most definitely be staying again !

outstanding vacation spot

We recently spent two days at the cabin with family and our dog and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very clean and has all the essentials you need for a good time and the recreational opportunities are outstanding

Great Place

My husband and two young boys had a great time at The Bunkhouse. It was the perfect place for our small family. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for a fun and peaceful stay.

Perfect Cabin

We were so impressed with our stay here! The owners are great and so friendly. The cabin was a lot roomier than we expected it to be. It had everything we could need and it was the perfect place for our trip!

We are Jay and Kristi Loggins, I am a registered nurse in the valley and Jay has worked for SRP for nearly 20yrs. We have enjoyed many summers in Forest Lakes camping/hunting with our 2 daughters and 2 dogs. In 2017 we purchased our dream property which includes this cozy bunkhouse. We are truly excited to share the beauty of the White Mountains so that other families can make wonderful memories just as we have.
