Enjoy your vacation. Stay in this small, beautiful house with an oversized, fenced yard property with paradise garden and privacy included deck with table and chairs.
FAMILIES WELCOME . KIDS WELCOME, KIDS GEAR RENTAL AVAILABLE UPON REQUESTS. PET FRENDLY AND WELCOME WITH EXTRA PET FEE.
Just renovated, fully furnished, basic cable TV. Free Broadband Internet Access. Free Washer and Dryer. Do not need a car.
Beach just 3 min walk, food shopping near. Bus stop 1 min walk, take you directly to downtown Fort Lauderdale or shopping mall. Air conditions and ceiling fans in each room.
Restaurants, fishing pier, golf just a few minutes walk. Race track, Las Vegas Style Casino 3 miles.
Very safe and a great neighborhood.
2 Bedrooms With Queen Size Beds , extra sleeping sofa in LR. Fully stock with dishes, towels, and everything you need to stay for a short or longer stay, including beach chairs and umbrella.

Quaint little place with great outdoor area

The property is older but had everything we needed. The outdoor area was an added bonus. Quick walk to the beach and to many good restaurants. Nice area, not a party beach which we like. Would definitely do this again.

It was ok.

The place was small which was fine. It needs updating and some minor repairs. The bed was awful! Very uncomfortable. It was very close to Pompano Beach and some grocery stores. A short ride to Ft. Lauderdale. Pompano Beach was ok, needed to be cleaned up. Furniture was not too comfortable. Suited for the short time we were there. It would have been better if the place was a little nicer. The house had a cold feel to it. But for the price, it was ok.

The location and house are exactly as listed and pictured. The house is ready for some updates, but it is comfortable, safe, quiet, very close to the beach.

Vacation house in Pompano beach, FL

We enjoyed our stay at Mike's house. It's perfect for a family of 4-5 people. We were happy to spend most of our day outside in the beautiful shady garden in the backyard. The house is conveniently located within 2 minutes walking distance of the beach and about 10-15 minutes walking distance of the main Street with various restaurants and shops near the pier.

Great location and nice owner but old house

The property location is great! The owner is very accommodating and easy to communicate, prepared for us the beach umbrella and chairs before we arrived. The house needs some remodeling/repairs.

Great location/too much furniture

Very nice location a short walk to the beach and Atlantic restaurants. Comfortable house with way too much furniture inside and also too much jammed into the hut outside. Plenty of character. A pleasure having french Canadian friends next door. Terry Sullivan

Great location

Great location. Just a short block and a half from a very nice section of the beach. The furnishings are a bit dated but everything is clean and works well. Overall the unit offers very good value.

The house is small but nice. We had a very nice time here. There is everything you need. The garden is very nice. Very great is the short walk to the beach. You do not need a car to get to the beach. Mike is a very nice landlord. Also the neighbors, Bob and his wife, are very nice. You can spend relaxing holidays here without disturbing others. We will definitely be back. I read in another review that the way to the beach was too far. We can not confirm that. The beach is about 200 meters. I think you can walk this distance on foot. We felt very comfortable here. We will come back. Thank your for the nice vacation. DANI

Awesome stay

This is partially a response to Bob W and partially a review of our experience. We found Bob W to be extremely rude. He invited his friends to park at our bungalow so they did not have to pay beach parking. Further, they allowed their dog to soil in the yard and often left it snd did not immediately Clean it up. We have been staying at this place for the past 5 years. Mike and his awesome wife have become more family than landlord. When the refrigerator went out, he immediately replaced it with his. He snd his wife kept their perishables in coolers on ice until he could repair the refrigerator. When a tree had issues due to sever weather he came over immediately, worked all day, until everything was cleared. The bungalow is EXTEMELY close to the beach and the intercostal (best of all worlds). This has become our home away from home!

Beware of False Claims

The owner claimed previously on this site that the property was 100 feet from the beach. When we arrived I told him it was not 100 feet (he then told me it was 300 ft and subsequently changed ) However in reality it is 865 ft, you can go to google and measure the distance. We stayed in the back bungalow.....there are 2 identical front and back. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable. There is a futon and 2 hard uncomfortable chairs in the living room with a old picture tube type non-high definition TV. Master bedroom bed sags and there is no air conditioning in the guest BR. Tiny bugs appear on kitchen counter and bathroom vanity. The owner did come and spray when I complained, but they reappeared. On the positive side, the beach is very nice and the fenced in yard is well landscaped and accommodating if you have a dog.

Just what we needed!

My husband, sister and I went on vacation with our three girls ages 2, 4 and 6. We stayed in Mike's house in the back unit and had A Wonderful Time! We were there for a week in February 2010 when back home in Baltimore, we missed out on 3 feet of snow - ha! What luck. Mike's place was perfect for us. We used the kitchen every day and saved lots of money on take-out food. We did go out a few times and I liked the Brother Tuckers on Atlantic (6 short blocks north of the house). I didn't like Flanagans, however. The price of the meal was incredibly cheap - we even had a few drinks and I was surprised at how cheap it was but it was cheezy and chainy. The Brothers restaurant was much cooler with fresh, local food and a crazy assortment of beers. We took our kids to Butterfly world - it was OK but expensive. I'd do it again but I would have printed the coupon for sure. If you go, spring for the $1 to feed the larakeet birds, it was fun and made for the best photos of the day. We really liked Flamingo World because it's more of an animal sanctuary and not a zoo. It had a nice feel to it and the peacocks roam freely. Our kids loved playing in this big old tree that looked like it was made of a million vines. Another find for us was the public pool (on 18th st I think) - it's heated and it's $1 per adult and $.50 for kids. Another day-trip was to see "the Girls" Strawberry patch. It looks like a tiny store but out back it's a giant hydroponic strawberry farm. We had a blast there - you can pick your own vegetables as well. Tips for Mike's - I almost forgot my favorite thing: The Fenced Yard - our kids roamed freely and I could keep an eye on them easily. The walk to the beach was quick - probably as fast as if you rented an expensive condo and had to wait for the elevator. Mike says that you don't need a car and I would agree if it were only adults, the bus stops right around the corner but with kids, it was necessary. If I were to change anything about his place I would remove the TVs. They are HUGE and in every room and bedroom (and take up a lot of space). I'm not a TV-lover, maybe you can tell!? Anyway, it was a great vacation for us and I would recommend Mike's place to anyone but especially someone with a family - the fenced yard was great. I didn't see any other houses this close to the beach with a real yard. Cheers, Juliana
