Brand New 20' Pontoon included with your nightly rental, weather permitting.

Picturesque 3 bedroom 2500 square foot custom built home with majestic views of the Tiger Cat Flowage. Come and relax with your family on our private 200' of sand bottom shore line while only being 15 minutes form Hayward. The home has large west facing decks for your group to take incredible northern Wisconsin sunsets.

Whether looking for a quiet vacation getaway with the family, a week on the water with the guys, or a cozy and welcoming home for a reunion in the woods, this luxurious home offers both beauty and comfort. The home is located on the beautiful Tiger Cat Flowage, a 1100 acre, moderately clear water flowage with access to the Tiger Cat chain (Burns, McClaine, Upper Twin, Lower Twin and Placid Lake) perfect for anglers or those just looking for the tranquility of a day on the lake. The home and grounds are perfect for family's or couples looking to escape the hustle of city living, while still providing access to local shopping, site seeing and adventure, with Hayward a short 15 minute drive away. Those looking to explore the wide expanses of wilderness surrounding the home may find deer, eagles, loons, turtles, swan, fox, chipmunks and all types of birds right outside the door!
The site provides a great location for fishing, swimming, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and biking, with remarkably close access to trails and amenities.

The large decks offer stunning views of the lake and leave plenty of room for campfires and smores, or relaxing during a majestic sunset with your favorite beverage.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make meals for your group. The home is also equipped with satellite TV and internet so you can stay connected. We also have a large selection of movies and games to keep you entertained during those down times.

We also have a 20' Starcraft Pontoon that is included with our cabin during your stay. The pontoon will be in the water the middle of May through the first weekend of October. All of this is weather permitting.

Included with your rental is the use of our paddle board and kayak. The paddle board and kayak are stored on location right by the waters edge for your convenience.

The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. We loved the remote and quiet location. Wewent later in the season so did not get the use of the pontoon or kayak/SUP.

The owner of this property is incredible. The property is incredible. Faults? They are in need of additional kitchen utensils. Also there are 54 steps from the cabin to the dock. The last ten are tricky.

A wonderful location for a getaway with our adult children. Plenty of space for everyone to gather, also areas for quiet reflection. The lake is peaceful and lovely.

This cabin was a great fit for our family vacation. The location and inclusion of the pontoon were wonderful! The house layout is great. Our only complaint is that the house could use a good cleaning. The showers were not very clean, lots of cobwebs and dead bugs (we definitely know bugs are unavoidable by the lake), the floors were not clean especially in corners, etc. We still had a wonderful time and the host was extremely responsive as well!

Family fun

Really nice place and the pontoon boat was a huge plus. Unfortunately the fish weren’t biting but, of course, no fault of the VRBO. I felt the overall cabin was pretty clean but the lower level windows could’ve used some dusting and the kitchen closet the garbage was in could use a good cleaning and painting. Overall a great place and would return.

Great Stay!

Travelled with wife, 2 kids and mother in law for long weekend. Couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Beautiful views and very nice and clean house with good outdoor space for activities. Bit of a steep hill to get down to the lake but we had no issues. Boat worked perfectly and the lake itself was great. It is very quiet, not many boats which we loved. Also took advantage of the paddle boards and canoe. As for fishing, the lake is shallow, between 5-15 feet max. Great shorelines and easy to find structure/drop offs and weed beds. The kids were catching small panfish almost immediately every cast with worms. We also caught some bass and good size northern (20-30in) Overall I highly recommend.

Had a great family vacation at Loon Bay. Great house for a family of 8. Pontoon was very nice to use. Started on first try every time. Beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi is hit and miss.

Time to Enjoy the Northwoods

Our family really enjoys our time in the Northwoods and this time was no different. The home was spacious with room for 8 of us to spread out. The bedrooms were comfortable with great pillows, and quality towels (always appreciated). The kitchen had many of the tools & dishware needed and the grill worked great as we cooked most meals at the house. Derek was also great communicating in advance of our stay. We fully took advantage of the pontoon, kayak and SUP. The lake was great for fishing and we saw a family of otters twice! The loons were also very active and eagles were ample too. We also loved the yard Jenga. The only reason that I didn't rate the property a 5 is that some spring cleaning is needed on the back porch and window screens. Lots of spiders and webs. I know it is the woods, so all the more reason to clean up. Two other notes for future guests: We are also big coffee drinkers and appreciated knowing the home only has a Keurig. We brought our own 10-cup pot to use instead. The wifi isn't very strong and no cell service (which is ok for me, but if I needed to work, it wouldn't have been likely). Just plan ahead!

This was a great place for our family vacation! It was quiet and away from everything. We cruised on the pontoon, fished, swam and listened to the loons by campfire.

Peaceful Quiet in the Woods

My son and I came up for a peaceful Wisconsin experience and that is what we found here. We hope to return to try out the lake and water sports when the weather is warmer.

Relaxing Cabin Retreat

Cabin is on an awesome lake away from the crowds but close enough to Hayward should you want/need to run into town. Owner was great to work with and being able to have use of the Pontoon was an added bonus! Would definitely stay here again.

Cheq 40 Mountain Bike Race Weekend

This cabin was great for our group of friends. Plenty of seating and spaces in the home to be together or spread out. We really enjoyed nighttime campfires. Derek the owner was efficient with responding to any questions we had before arriving. 100% appreciated the outside hose & water hook-up. Perfect for washing bikes after the race.

Beautiful and Peaceful Up North retreat

Great house, responsive owner, beautiful flowage to explore. Wildlife galore. The drive in was amazing with forest and ferns. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing vacation.

Enjoyable stay- The flowage was quiet, fishing was not too bad for July and we must have seen over 50 deer driving to Hayward four times during the week Recommend Tamarack Farms BBQ We would also recommend that a railing be added to the walk down to the lake in the middle section
