This newly built private suite is a perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring all that Sechelt has to offer. Features a full kitchen open living and dining area, comfortable bedroom and full bathroom with a glass enclosed shower. TV, Wi-Fi, laundry, stove, dishwasher and all the usual bed and bath essentials are included. Close to downtown with diverse restaurants, bistro and pubs and easy beach access. and a lovely seawall to stroll and refresh the sea breeze in the evening. Sechelt in native language means Land between two seas, the Sechelt Inlet and the ocean.
Many water sports rentals are available at the Wharf 5 mins drive away. You can paddle board, kayak or swim at Porpoise bay. 2 Golf Courses for golf lovers and many hiking trails and provincial parks to explore in region. It's an easy drive from Langdale ferry terminal, Secret Cove, Pender Harbor and beyond.

The suit was as described with some ocean view. The view we really enjoyed. We met Helen just briefly and she seemed friendly and offered to contact her, if we needed anything. The suite is functional. The space for two people is plenty. The only thing we didn’t liked, was that it was not cleaned well. Nothing major, like breadcrumbs on the dining table and some hairs in the bathroom, but still you expect a clean unit. The sofa should be replaced, its very old and the armrests of it were dark coloured from use over time. The unit has great potential with a little bit more of a warm , tasteful touch.

90% of the guests' review is like this Direct quote "Recommended cheap stay in a comfortable apartment Nice apartment with everything you need for a simple stay. Good shower, good beds. Equipped kitchen with pots, pans, scissors, can opener, microwave, oven, toaster ... Bright living room with a beautiful view of the ocean (Strait of Georgia) and the Trail Islands. Direct climb/descent of a four-minute walk to the beach. Lots of wildlife in the area (I saw sea otters, seals, hummingbirds, sea eagles, and an owl). Naturally, this is not a five-star hotel where everything is perfect. But for the low price, you can call this "excellent". Thank you for the review, we would continue to strive to do better in cleanliness so we always stay on top.

It was okay, although the stove doesn’t work properly and the pan provided was the extreme opposite of non stick. Also, the light in the bathroom is on a timer and keeps going out while you’re in the shower. Host is also somewhat unreasonable and loud upstairs.

This is the first time i received this complain after many years of hosting. The bathroom light is on a motion senser if you are too long in the shower, the lights go off. but if you move your hand the lights comes back on. no problem. They are many pans just pick the one you like. The whole building is built solid with radiant heat with poured 1 1/5 inch concrete, thanks for reminder, will keep that in mind. You checked out late and you did not answer phone calls , caused much cleaning problem to the next guest to check in. Anyway, you may not be aware the check out time is 11 am. sorry i have to charge you because of cleaning re-arrangement. You are welcome back.

While the property was adequate, there were quite a few misses along the way. The hosts left a note regarding the location of the keys, but they forgot to leave the keys. The coffee pot had old coffee in the carafe, the stove and fridge were dirty and the baseboards were dusty. The hosts forgot to leave garbage bags and left a single roll of toilet paper. The hosts were apologetic after each miss, and even purchased a 10 gift card for Tim Hortons for my parents, but they refused to own up to their mistake. It is clear that the unit wasn't cleaned between stays, and probably wasn't cleaned thoroughly for a while. If you expect clean, I would be skeptical of this property.

This person father who stayed in the suite also sent in a review and i replied . This is over kill. What you said is not true we have done all we could to appeased and apologized while they are here and they accepted why continue. VRBO said not to encorage compensation Let this be the end of it

weekend get away

my stay was a very good experience. the place was clean and in a great location with a nice view. there were many outdoor activities to do. if you are looking for a relaxing get away this would be a great place to visit

Calm place with beautiful view

We spent few days in this location, and it was perfect. There is anything you need in walking distance (beach, walks, supermarket, restaurant, etc.) The neighborhood is calm and nice. The view is really beautiful. The communication with Jim is really easy.

Working remote, exploring area

A simple but functional apartment style place. Wifi was good and everything worked. Jim is easy to communicate with. Not much in the way of condiments or accessories.

Modern Apt in Upscale Neighborhood

I could have stayed for. month! Jim's apartment has everything you need to be comfortable for any length of stay. Well equipped kitchen, wonderful bed, plenty of storage and a cozy living area. You could walk to town (downhill), I just didn't because I didn't want to walk back up at night! Sechelt is great town for exploring the Sunshine Coast and Jim has lots of help in the apt with maps and suggestions. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful Sunsets

Gorgeous small suite close to downtown Sechelt. Completely equipped kitchen. Everything well thought out. A bit of a busy street however the views are spectacular!

Not very welcoming! Owner demaned 2nd payment even though payment was not due for another week. Told me to cancel if I'm not going to pay. Received strange notes from owner that made no sense. Bathroom sink not cleaned. Toilet was disgusting - I cleaned it myself (poop under lid, hairs at back of seat - have photos). Bath towels were old and thin and barely big enough for showering. Fridge not cleaned inside or out. Toaster oven disgusting (have photos). kitchen items seemed to be old and cheap. Coffee pot not rinsed out or cleaned, I had to clean it before using. Lamp had no light bulb in living room, no soft light or cozy ambience, just blasting bright light, or missing light bulbs, or lights not working at all. No effort to make the place nice and cozy - no TLC or warmth to this place, most unwelcoming B&B I've ever stayed in.

Great view

Property is clean. The view is the best part of the experience. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine and the view was awesome. The property itself inside, the chill space is not very welcoming or comfortable but if it’s just a crash pad then it’s fine.

Close to main attractions

We enjoyed our stay in Sechelt. It is nice to sit out front on the porch for a glimpse of the water. Blackberries grow abundantly on the trail beside it and are delicious. It is a manageable walk to the main attractions (market on Saturdays), groceries, restaurants and beach but the walk uphill after requires a few breaks due to the incline especially if you’re carrying bags. The apartment is well equipped (bring your own laundry detergent) and you can request things when they run out. My one suggestion for improvement would be new bedding as it’s rather thin. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating and I would return to this location.

Hidden gem in Sechelt

The pictures don’t do this place justice! Just a short walk to downtown, the beaches, restaurants, shops and more, Jim’s place was the perfect spot to set up shop for a relaxing weekend away.

It has a tranquil setting of the ocean view and quiet neighborhood. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Easy walk to the waterfront, beach and recreation center, groceries, shopping and restaurants, pub, banks and ATM; and churches nearby. Short distance to the calm waters of the Sechelt Inlet and the marinas and provincial park. It's a halfway hub between Gibson and Powell River along the Sunshine Coast. Beautiful scenery.
