Come stay in the heart of Shelter Island, central to all beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Spacious 3 bedroom ranch sleeps up to 6, with blissfully comfy "W Hotel" beds. Bedroom lamps have built-in USB ports for charging your phone. Living room with large flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, and sofa. Spa-like bathroom includes relaxing soaking tub & walk-in shower. Endless on-demand hot water. Central air. Washer & dryer on premises. Dining room seats 6. Kitchen with all appliances. Spacious front yard with porch, perfect for sitting and relaxing with your morning coffee. Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by wooded areas. Large backyard, great for kids to play or outdoor dining. Complimentary beach chairs, towels, and 2 adult-sized bikes available for use. Ample driveway parking shared with adjacent cottage. Walk to supermarket, organic farm stand, and Sylvester Manor. One mile to Sunset Beach or town center and a quick trip to Bridge Street shopping and the North Ferry.

Excellent location for accommodations while we attended a family reunion on different locations on Shelter Island over 4 days. The home has everything needed, very comfortable and centrally located, near Shelter Island Heights and the ferry.

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at this lovely home on Shelter Island! The location was perfect — peaceful and private, yet close to everything we needed. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, which made cooking meals a breeze. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hosts - Laura and Susanna- were very accommodating and responsive, which made the whole experience even smoother. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily return!

Lovely Shelter Island house

We really appreciated Laura's house. The beds were comfy, the big yard was fun for our kids to run around in, and the kitchen was exceedingly well equipped. Unlike some faceless short-term rentals, this place really is someone's home, so it's just that much cozier and prettier--and more functional. We'd be glad to come back some time.

Great end of summer getaway

The house had everything you could possibly need - especially for cooking; and a superb bathroom-with heated floors. It's right on Rte.114 but back from the road and across the street from the Sylvester Manor. No water views but beaches are close-by and the backyard outdoor sitting area is lovely - lots of basil.

Great Location.

Great spot for a beach getaway! The house is ideally situated, just a stone's throw from beautiful beaches, restaurants, convenient ferry services, and essential stores. Inside, you'll find all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. A nice surprise was the daily visit from a family of deer in the garden - a real treat for nature lovers! While the house itself was great, the beach equipment could use some attention. The chairs are showing their age, and unfortunately, the umbrella was broken during our stay. An update to these items would make beach days even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this place for its location and comfort.

Paradise

The house was perfect. It came with everything you could possibly need. It was so comfortable. Walk outside to the grill and cook. Come inside and watch the huge screen TV. The central air-conditioning was ideal. They had beach chairs, beach towels and bicycles. I come to Shelter Island about three times a year, and this was pace was the best.

Second great stay!

We had a great two weeks at Laura's house. The house is well equipped for cooking and had two spacious desks for remote work. Great communication with owner made for an easy stay. Would definitely return!

Comfortable and Accessible

Once again we had a wonderful relaxing time at the house. A/C is great, big screen TV with lots of channels, kitchen has lots of appliances and general equipment for experienced cooks. Comfortable beds. House is well situated with very easy access to beaches, grocery store, restaurants, and good walking preserves. Certainly will come again!

Great House in a Beautiful Location

Husband and I stayed for ten days in this incredibly well equipped home. Kitchen has everything you can think of to cook and enjoys meals at home. That said, this home is located in the center of local restaurants and beaches. We spent our days riding bikes and relaxing on beaches. The large screen TV made watching the US Open even better. We’ve been coming to the Island for the last seven years and this trip confirmed why. Highly recommend!

Perfect House for our stay

The house is centrally located and easily accessible to all shopping, beaches, restaurants, preserves (either driving or walking, bicycling. The house is very comfortable and relaxing and was perfect for our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Shelter Island in this house. Owners very responsive to our questions and needs.

Quintessential Shelter Island home, centrally located and close to Wades beach

As shared in previous reviews, this home is well located. Kitchen is very well kitted out and bathroom is very pleasant. Hosts are fantastic. Responsive and available to ensure that your stay goes without a glitch. Great WiFi and TV channels in the property also.

Great location, well equipped clean home

This property was perfect for our family trip to shelter island! The house is centrally located, about a mile down the road from the beach. It is very close to the grocery store on island and some great restaurants. I would highly recommend it for a family or small group looking for a clean, well kept vacation house!

Relaxing stay in lovely cottage

We had a lovely relaxing stay in this cute cottage. You have everything you need to make your stay comfortable, central air, plenty of cooking supplies, great WiFi, Netflix and a beautiful new bathroom to enjoy! It is a wonderful location, so close to restaurants and IGA and convenient to both ferry’s. House instructions were very clear and the host helped us get a beach parking permit to make the stay on Shelter Island so easy with our new 2 month old baby. Hoping to be back later in the year or in 2021!!!

Perfection!

Everything about Laura's property was perfect! The property is fully equipped with everything you could want: complete kitchen, beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas, noodles), backyard furniture, central AC, etc. The location is unbeatable, a 1 min drive to one of the nicest beaches and a central part of town with shops and cafes. Laura was so friendly and always available, which I really appreciated. Looking forward to returning!
