Our U-shaped tri-level home in the Sand Section features a central pool/spa/patio area surrounded by four sliding glass doors, allowing you to soak in the serene surroundings and ocean breeze in this peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood.

Highlights include a spacious living room/family room with a home theater opening to the pool, a master bedroom with a California King bed and entertainment amenities, and two additional bedrooms with thoughtful features. The recently remodeled kitchen and dining room open onto the pool and patio for sun-filled fun and BBQ gatherings. Experience comfort, convenience, and a beachside lifestyle in this private residence.

Exceptional Manhattan Beach Home

Steve and Lynn's house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation this summer. We stayed for a month and loved our stay - it was a great home away from home. The location is exceptional - it's 4 blocks from the beach, in a quiet neighborhood, close to parks and easily walkable to everything. The house itself is clean, comfortable, and well kept. Their home is top notch - there are thoughtful details throughout, including custom kitchen cabinetry, a beautiful Wedgewood stove and custom stereo throughout the home. The pictures online don't fully communicate the high quality of their home. The layout of the home was perfect for our family of 4 - there are two bedrooms above the garage, a large bedroom in the front of the house, and multiple places to spend time together. Their saltwater pool was used by the kids every day - they loved swimming there. Since there aren't many pools in MB, that was a key selling point for our family. Overall, we would absolutely stay again in Steve and Lynn's home - highly recommend.

Vacation with family

We love staying in Manhattan Beach and this lovely house fits the bill. Well-stocked organized kitchen, all the little extras provided by the host was so welcoming. They have a lovely property manager named Magnolia who was so responsive to every request. The hot tub is divine! The layout of the house is great because parents can have a little privacy in the master suite and kids can have their own area with a bathroom. Plenty of space to have privacy but also has great places to hang out as a family. Loved this beautiful home!

Fantastic location, perfect for families. Very attentive host.

Our family visited for Spring Break and had a great experience. The house was very clean and the location was perfect. The pool was a perfect compliment to the location and was essential for our two young children (5 and 3). We are looking forward to making this an annual destination.

Great Beach House!

We had a lovely time at this home. It is located on a quite street close to the beach and downtown. It was neat, clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities - the house was perfect for our family of five. I particularly liked how organized the drawers were in the new kitchen! We made use of the hot tub, pool and bikes. We walked downtown to eat and shop throughout our stay. I would recommend making reservations for dinner. We would definitely stay at this home again.

This property is even better than the photos. Our party of 5 adults enjoyed our 5 days in Manhattan Beach this February. The 3 bathrooms made getting up and out each day easy. The beds were really comfortable. The second bedroom no longer has the fish tank and has a large bed. I think that if the owners take on board my small suggestions re guest storage (given to the Property Manager) it well deserves a five star rating. Parking in February was easy - one of us parked outside the house and the other in the drive. A short walk to the beach and local shops. Beth who greeted us was warm and friendly and was flexible re arrival and departure which was much appreciated. We left yesterday and I noted an email triggering the return of the security deposit was sent that afternoon. If you book in the Winter it is well worth paying a little extra to have the pool heated. We really enjoyed our stay. The Ruse and Philippou Families.

Cozy and fun

Hi. My group of older and younger relatives stayed here and loved the pool, location, and general charm of the place. It is a home, not just a rental. The bikes we so handy, plus all the local suggestions. The kitchen is a bit cramped but well-stocked with gear for those who cook. Magnolia and Francisco were wonderful property managers and the house was spotless. Beds were comfy and owners very accommodating. The pool and hot tub were used daily by everyone. Thanks for a fantastic stay!!

Great walkable location in Manhattan Beach

Beautiful home within walking distance of beach and downtown Manhattan Beach shops and restaurants. Multi-level spa and pool, gorgeously landscaped, with plenty of outdoor furniture that turned the backyard into one big living area. Kids (ages 2 and 4) loved swimming in the pool daily. Adults could walk to the beach (as long as you're not lugging a playpen). Gracious hosts have thought of everything, including a notebook with recommendations for places to eat. We enjoyed Lemonades, Pages bookstore, and the wood-fired pizza delivered to the door. Highly recommended.

Incredible Summertime Rental

I've stayed in several properties throughout Los Angeles County and I have no hesitation in recommending this property, particularly if you have children. It truly was the best experience I've had in renting a property - both the property itself as well as in dealing with its owners, Steve & Lynn. The house itself was large enough for our family of 4, but was not ostentatious in nature (which we wanted to avoid). Steve and Lynn have done an amazing job in making this house a fun, comfortable, welcoming and relaxing retreat. Everything is there for you - a lovely pool & jacuzzi, 3 large bedrooms, a great living room with a huge flat-screen tv and media center, etc., etc. You really don't have to leave the house to have a wonderful vacation, but if you do, you'll find a great, uncrowded beach just a 5 minute walk away along with all of the restaurants and bars that Manhattan Beach has to offer. The best part, though, was dealing with Steve and Lynn, who were incredibly helpful and always available to answer any questions. A big thanks for Steve & Lynn for letting us rent your home and helping in my effort to convince my family that we should all move to Manhattan Beach in the immediate future!!

Most Relaxing Vacation

My husband and I rented this wonderful property for 10 days and I have nothing but praise for our experience. Our hope was to 'get away from it all' and relax on this vacation - we had no preconceived notions of sightseeing or tourist attractions as we have visited southern California many times over the years. Although there are many excellent features, the big draw for us in choosing this rental was the beautiful outdoor patio/pool/spa area, and we were not disappointed. The location was also ideal and as advertised, within easy walking distance of downtown Manhattan Beach and the Strand - no parking worries! The home itself offered everything we needed to settle in and relax - a fully equipped kitchen, state of the art entertainment system, BBQ grill - you name it. Beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs and beach towels all provided, along with use of the washer/dryer. We biked to the Redondo Pier twice to enjoy the unique atmosphere and fresh seafood there, enjoying the ride through Hermosa and all the way to Palos Verdes one day. The only time we used our car was to visit the nearby Whole Foods and Ralph's grocery store to stock up and savor the fresh produce and seafood that we brought back for grilling and relaxing dinners. Oh, and I must put in a plug for the Manhattan Meats market - friendly, helpful staff and great selection of fresh meats to take 'home' and grill without fighting the traffic. This was our first experience with VRBO and I really can't say enough good things about it. Even though we didn't meet the owners personally, we couldn't have felt more welcome as guests in their home. The caretakers met us when we checked in and oriented us to the home and were available for questions throughout the week and were so welcoming. This home would be ideal for families as well. Great summertime retreat at the beach

My family and I spent a week at the Johnson's Manhattan Beach house this summer, and it was the best vacation ever. I grew up in MB and wanted my kids to experience the magic of being close to the beach in the summer. The location is fantastic, the house is fantastic, and the owners are very friendly, answer emails quickly and are just plain nice to work with. The house is very clean and spacious, and we felt right at home. I have three kids, and nobody felt crowded. The open plan kitchen and dining room were a great space for cooking and dining, and dishes, pans and utensils were easy to find. There is plenty of space for clothing--bathroom drawers, closet space and dressers had all been emptied out for guests. There were computers in the children's rooms, which was handy, and the entertainment system in the living room was excellent--and the owners have left detailed instructions. If anything, the house is much roomier than it looks in the pictures on the website. Everyone in our family was also a big fan of Socks, the resident cat. He's very laid back, but he likes to hang out near where people are. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi are amazing. The pool area is beautifully designed and the landscaping compliments the space. There is plenty of outdoor seating and there is plastic wear on hand for poolside beverages. My family went to the beach every day, and the beach is just a 5 minute walk away. There were boogie boards and beach chairs at the house, too. My younger kids boogie boarded every day. Also within 10 minutes' walk is downtown MB, with retail, restaurants, and the classic Manhattan Beach Pier. Grocery stores are within walking distance as well, or a 10 minute drive if you want to go to Whole Foods. The owners leave a sheet of restaurant recommendations. As an MB native, I really appreciated the low-rise, low-key character of the house. It's quite roomy without feeling ostentatious, and it's is very much in keeping with the original character of this very special town.
