Amazing panoramic views and deck to watch from

Located 10 minutes from downtown Crescent City and the Smith River, our home sits atop a hill that overlooks the ocean and is perfect for a private and relaxing holiday. Connected by a catwalk, the property has two separate units. The main house has a master suite, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a family room located downstairs, perfect for a game night with the family. Upstairs is the kitchen, dining area, bar and a half bath, with a wrap-around deck. Head out to the deck to watch the sun slowly set on the Pacific, prepping you for a relaxing night gazing at the stars.

Across the catwalk, the guest suite has a bedroom, bathroom and living area. Great addition for an extra couple or someone who needs a bit more privacy.

Sleeps 8 Total.

Our property is located on 6 1/2 acres with a 600 ft. long paved, curved, gated driveway. *The driveway is very steep*. Views stretch from Crescent City Harbor to Brookings, Oregon, including Castle Rock and Pt. St. George Lighthouse visible from the front balcony.

The house was large and comfortable for our large group. I was pretty disappointed in the kitchen. The knives were dull, there was not much beyond the basics and there was only 4 cup coffee filters for a 12 cup pot among other things. We did most of our prep in advance and that worked to our advantage. If you plan to cook a lot, plan on bringing your own stuff or do without. Also had to buy hand soap for some of the bathrooms. There were definitely not any “extras” here. Otherwise, the house was comfortable and worked for our needs. Easy check in/check out process.

This place was beautiful and soooo comfortable. I did not want to leave my bed at all. Communication with properyy manager was so easy and quick. The views were amazing and location right next to redwoods made my vacation.

Renters should realize that the kitchen and a sitting area are up a step spiral staircase to the amazing view. This means that all coolers and supplies need to be carried up the staircase. On this top level which is lovely and light filled, there are two sitting chairs and then a dining table, but no place for a family or group to spend time together if you are not sitting at the table or bar. The living room downstairs was extremely dark at night ( the light bulbs look to be old florescent that just haven't died and are extremely dim). The tv in this room does not work and I read after our stay that someone else had reported this in July ( changed the remote batteries just like I did). It was not a place that was comfortable to spend time.This home appears to be in need of more attention. There were no hand towels in the bathroom, no body soap in the shower, only one kitchen towel. View was amazing!

Great spot!

This was a great place to stay. Lots of room for everyone. The driveway was a bit scary but it was an adventure every time!

We appreciated the thorough visitor guidebook. The layout of the house was great to give everyone their privacy plus space to hang out together. Great location. Awesome access to awesome redwoods in Jedediah - spectacular & close. Not far to good food in Brookings.

It was a beautiful location that accomodated my family and I. The only thing id say is to have a good car to make itnupcthe drive way. Other than that it was beautiful.

Great home base for Redwood vacation

Family of 6, 4 adults and two children. We had a great time visiting the area. The redwood trees and the tide pools were the main draw. The house was clean, private and perfect for traveling with my in-laws. The garage apartment was great if some travelers need their own space!

Everything was absolutely great except for the driveway. Luckily we all had trucks but if we didn’t it would’ve been a difficult trek up the hill.

When we first arrived 20 mins after check in, the home wasn’t cleaned from previous visitors. We called the manager and her voice box was full. After texting, she did call back. She sent another cleaner to clean, all to say, we were very tired from a long roadtrip and wanted to shower and chill but were confined to the living room until after 7. I am just glad we didn’t get there later. The manager never checked to see if the house was cleaned or to see if we needed anything else. There is a lot of Maintanece/upkeep that is lacking. There wasn’t any hand soap, no laundry detergent, knob on one of the doors comes off, bathroom shower door is broke in master, stairs from deck are rotting, remote to tv doesn’t work in living room (after batteries were replaced), lockbox for key wouldn’t open. When checking out and doing the checkout list, we reached back out again to the manager…she never returned our message. The house location is perfect and the view is lovely. This house just seems to be managed poorly.

We drove from Medford airport to the house. The drive was easy and had stunning views. Directions to house were very easy to follow. The house was so beautiful and check in was a breeze. The house on the hill had amazing and breathtaking views of the ocean. The property was nicely secluded but close enough to the trails and water. Host gave clear check in and check out instructions and we came ready for the sights. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. We loved this house and will definitely see for a revisit!

Crescent City for the first time

We were there for a wedding and I must say we couldn’t be more excited with the house. Location is perfect with beautiful views outside the all around balcony the house offers . It is true that the road leading to the house is very steep like everyone was saying but it was worth it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone going there visiting!

A great house all in all. Fantastic view! Loved how close it is to the beaches and redwoods. Kitchen had everything we needed, the master is nice and quite comfortable. The queen in the other bedroom and the guest house was not as comfortable but ok. The upstairs bathroom sink started leaking to the bathroom below and we had to turn the water off for that sink. There are some things not super toddler friendly. You’ll have to be a bit more vigilant for kiddos. There was a safety gate you can set up on the spiral stairs if needed, there are gaps in the balcony rails that a kid could fall through but I wasn’t too worried and there is not much for a yard for anything outdoors around the house. (I would love to see a fire pit added)It was mentioned in the other reviews and property description but the driveway is very steep with tight switchbacks. We got up just fine though with a minivan and I had a crew cab f150 with a regular bed. The truck was a bit more of a challenge just because of its length. I did peel out some in 2wd when the drive way was wet but it’s really not bad after your first go at it and you know what to expect.I would definitely recommend the place.

Great location, beautiful views

We loved our stay in the nicely maintained main and guest house. Main house has a beautiful views of forest and ocean in the distance. Very clean and modernized interior. Great kitchen. Driveway is very steep and windy as indicated in ad but was ok for our cars. Would definitely recommend this property and looking forward to visiting again. Location is perfect to visit Jedediah Smith State park.

Short trip to the Redwoods

We loved the house on the hill for our stay! Even though we were only there one night it was a beautiful property and had room for our 8 guests. The driveway was steep but very well kept. It’s worth it for the beautiful view from the house! Everything was clean and as described in the features. I wish we could have spent more time here to enjoy the property!

Great visit

The house is very nice. The view is amazing! When they say the driveway is steep, it's no joke. After the first up/down it wasn't too bad. You need to get up there to benefit from the amazing views.
