Enjoy this peaceful country retreat just over two hours from the St. Louis area in the scenic Ozark mountains of Missouri. This private, backcountry log home rental is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax.

This fully furnished home has breathtaking panoramic views of the Ozark Mountains. Enjoy a perfect sunrise from a huge 50' covered front porch with a porch swing and chairs. This spacious cabin has plenty of room, so it's perfect for your family gathering or group.

Situated on 160 acres of private land in the Missouri Ozarks, you can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear Black River at a secluded beach with a private entrance, viewing the birds and the wildflowers, fishing in a private pond, which has a paddleboat, and much more! It is located near Missouri's best attractions, including Johnson Shut-ins State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park and the Ozark Trail. Canoes and rafts are also available in nearby Lesterville, Missouri along with horseback riding.

The cabin was exactly as described and a great space for a large group of people. The property owners are so kind. They drove me around the property when we arrived to show me how to find all of the river access points. When we realized we needed tape for decorations for a birthday party we were having there, they not only brought us tape, but thumb tacks as well for the wood. The cabin had everything we needed and then some! They provided firewood and we loved the books and movies and the game cabinet. Will definitely be renting this space again in the future. Thank you for being amazing hosts!

My friends and I stayed for a bachelorette trip and had an amazing cozy stay here! The hosts were so nice and even personally showed us the river access from the property. There are more beds than you know what to do with, so no worries about sleeping accommodations. They had a fully stocked kitchen with cooking supplies and eating utensils, two fridges, and two comfy living spaces. There were picnic benches outside and a fire pit with food to use. We all had an amazing time, I would highly recommend and plan on staying here again

Perfect getaway with friends

The house is nice and spacious and comes with the full kitchen which is perfect for cooking breakfast for our large group. We loved the yard games including the volleyball, ladderball, and cornhole. Everyone had a great time and is asking me to plan a trip here again next year.

Beautiful and relaxing

No complaints whatsoever! Very well stocked, clean, spacious and more. The owners were very welcoming and checked on us a few times but were not intrusive at all. I don’t believe anyone would be disappointed.

Amazing Private Retreat

This was the perfect getaway if you are looking for a quiet space away from the regular river crowd. We had absolutely everything we needed and more. So much space to set up for meals, all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need, outdoor games, and comfortable beds. We could not have asked for a better time. The host was attentive and helpful and super accommodating. The river access was very convenient and water was crystal clear. I don't think we could have asked for a better time, and we're already planning next years trip!

Family vacation

It's a perfect peaceful family getaway; our second time here. We love it, kids love it, grandkids love it. We fished on the pond, floated down the river, relaxed on the porch, had campfires, played corn hole and cooked good for everyone. The best part was being together. We didn't want to leave. We hope to be back again next year.

Relaxation

This was a much needed spring break week for our family and friends! The cabin had everything you could need and more. We enjoyed games, volleyball, roasted marshmellows, went on atv trails, cooked all our meals in the fully stocked kitchen, enjoyed fishing daily on the pond and paddle boats! We would definitely come back.

Great remote location

Although we did not get to enjoy the property as much as we wanted due to cold weather and other activities, we still had a relaxing time. This property can accommodate a lot of people from beds to sitting. We ended up only having four people but wanted a place that could sleep more if needed. We were attending the 100 acre wood rally, and the mud room was very handy for staging supplies each day. It's also a nice in-between location.

Lovely Property

We had a lovely weekend full of memories. Our extended family of 10 enjoyed the games, the porch, the walk to the river, and just laying around. The amenities were more than anything we could need. The hosts were so helpful with providing charcoal we forgot. I can’t wait to go back with my family. Thank you so much for making your property available.

Perfect weekend getaway

We loved this secluded property! Plenty of space for our large group and plenty of things to do. We especially enjoyed the sweet dogs visiting us during our stay, the hammock in the trees, and the private river access. Our very nice hosts gave us space and privacy to enjoy our visit, we will definitely be back!

Quick summer getaway from KC

The house was very clean and spacious. The views are beautiful and the quiet is so peaceful. The yard games were a fun way to pass the time. We loved spending time at the river on the property (a very short drive). The stars were extraordinary at night! Would definitely recommend and plan to return

We will be back!

Everything was perfect other then the rain. We still had lots of fun at the river, fishing in the pond, petting the sweet dogs, paddle boating, building a fire, and just spending time with family. There was more then enough things for the kids to have fun with and stay occupied! The view was beautiful and the owners went above and beyond to make our stay great. Thanks again! We hope to be back every year!

Tranquil getaway in the Ozark mountains

Wonderful little getaway In the ozark mountains. The house was fully stocked with anything we could possibly need, tons of game and things to do outdoors, the river and pond were beautiful. This was a great place for a family getaway.

So wonderful!

We had such a great time at this property!! The river was up because of recent rain- but let me just say, being able to sit outside on the huge covered porch in a storm was worth it. It forced us to slow down and enjoy our time together. The house was wonderfully stocked- especially the kitchen! So many beds and sleeping options. My kids loved the upstairs and the dogs!! We will be back!

Heavenly!

This place is amazing! Our second trip and we can’t to return again. The cabin is well stocked and clean and the view is amazing. Kids love the private river access and we loved the serene nature.
