Peacefully situated modern style villa with private pool, panoramic views & Wifi

Casa Pura Vida is peacefully located in the 'campo' and offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The house is south west orientated so that you can enjoy the Spanish sun throughout the day.

The comfortable and spacious accommodation (101m²) comprises:
• Spacious living room with open kitchen
• Kitchen with ceramic hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and small kitchen appliances
• 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin)
• 1 bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath/shower, and wash hand basin
• Entrance hall with toilet and hand wash basin
• Ceiling fan in living room and bedrooms
• Fireplace with cassette
• Airconditioning (in living room and bedrooms)
• Satellite TV (TV Vlaanderen) + Blu-ray + DVD player + iPod docking station
• Free Wifi (no mobile connection)

The lounge opens directly onto the pergola covered dining area. The terrace also includes an outdoor kitchen with a brick built BBQ. Adjacent to the private swimming pool there is a cosy gazebo where you can relax in the shade. The garden is terraced and has a selection of Mediterranean plants and palms.

Casa Pura Vida is located 2 km off the Torrox - Competa road (A7207) and is accessible via a paved small mountain road.
The drive from Malaga Airport takes approximately an hour.
A (rental) car is required!

The holiday villa is ideally located for exploring the 'pueblos blancos', the charming whitewashed Andalusian villages along the 'Ruta del Vino y Sol'.
Torrox Pueblo, with its narrow alleys and cozy village square is a 15-minute drive. The beach of Torrox Costa with its numerous and nice terraces is a 20-minute drive.
The Autovía del Mediterráneo passes both villages. Charming villages (such as Frigiliana) and beautiful coastal towns (such as Nerja) are easily accessible via this highway.
The beautiful and cultural city of Malaga is only a 50 minute drive and within 1,5 hour is the historic city of Granada, with its beautiful Alhambra palace and Moorish gardens.

Fantastic villa

We had a fantastic stay the kids loved the pool and the villa had everything and more that you would need, we would definitely return to this villa not far from Torrox village which was lovely also

Fabulous villa! Perfectly situated with stunning views and beautiful sunsets. The villa contained everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The property manager Kevin was really helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations for places to go and eat in the area. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. Thanks!

Secluded and private

Nice secluded property, if you want peace and quiet then this is perfect. Pool is a good size. Kevin the guide was brilliant, sent me lots of useful information and was always happy to help. Brilliant place for star gazing also.

A little bit of heaven

This is our second year at Casa Pura Vida and it certainly lived up to (if not surpassed) our high expectations from our first visit! Situated in the picturesque mountains, it is a stunning location for total relaxation! We absolutely love this place and cannot wait to return for a third year!

Fabulous !

We had a wonderful stay in this great villa. We have been enjoying villa holidays in this area for many years and this is just about the best one yet. Inside and outside spaces both equally good.We really enjoyed the lovely pool and outdoor area. It was every bit as good as the photos. We would be happy to book again!

Great Stay

It was exactly as described. We loved every minute of it. The pool was great. The weather was extremely hot so we were in the pool a lot. The villa was nice and cool so we were never uncomfortable. Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulously wonderful much needed retreat

Busy busy working lives we really needed seclusion and relaxation , we were not disappointed , yet once mountain road mastered , only 20 mins from everything ... very clean , well equipped ... both Danielle and her partner and Sophie and Geert great hosts .. there if you need them respectful of your letting if you don't ... we will absolutely return

The property overall was in good condition, however there was some crumbling concrete around the pool that needs attention as its very sharp underfoot if not noticed. The views were great and the outdoor area was really nice, this is a very important consideration for my wife and I when booking our annual holiday in Spain, the drive from the main road to the Villa was well signposted and as we often find, the tracks are single file only and can be scary for first time visitors. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and unfortunately were too late to book again for 2026 ! we will definitely consider this property in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family

Exceeded expectations

The villa’s position is second to none, stunning. The drive off the main road is a little daunting but you soon get use to it. The owners were very quick to respond with any queries and Kevin was very helpful as well. The villa itself is well equipped and all essentials were there from cooking oil to washing up liquid. The views from the pool area are breathtaking with the sun being there all day. We will definitely be back! Thank you very much.

A lovely and quiet location in the hills

We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time at this villa, the location was wonderful and just what we were looking for as a place to relax for a week. It was well equipped and clean and the pool/outside areas were spacious and ideal for chilling either during the day or in the evening. The property manager, Kevin, was friendly and most helpful both on our arrival and on the one time we had a question for him during our stay. Finding the villa was a little tricky, but that was because we chose to try and find it ourselves rather than take up the offer of being met by Kevin at a local fuel station. The drive down from the main road can be a little bumpy, so care is required but this short drive down if definitely worth it and we would definitely visit again.

The perfect place to relax and unwind

If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, then Casa Pura Vida fits the bill. Set in the heart of a valley, the villa offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and mountains in the distance. The villa itself is beautifully well presented and extremely well equipped- one of the best I have ever seen. Here you can enjoy all the delights of outdoor living with a good sized sheltered terrace (seats 6) and also a delightful gazebo/ pergola complete with comfy seating, cushions and screens if you need to create some shade. There is also a good sized pool- perfect for cooling off, if you need to. If you wish to explore the surrounding area, the villa is within easy driving distance of many attractive white villages. It is also an hour’s drive on the autovía to Málaga,where you can explore this wonderful city as well as board a train to visit Córdoba, Sevilla and Granada. All in all, this is an excellent villa with all the comforts of home while also a great base from which to explore so much of wonderful Andalucīa. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I do hope to return in the future.

A perfect retreat in the Andalucian hillside

We stayed in Casa Pura Vida for a week at the beginning of June and it truly is a home from home. We were met at the top of the access track by Daniella & Magnel (the housekeepers) who were excellent and spoke perfect english. They escorted us on the 10 minute drive down to the villa and although it is an unmade track for the first part, it does then change to a better 'road'. However, in our experience this is normal with most villas in Andalucia. The villa is accessed by lockable gates and was immaculately clean and beautifully presented throughout. The furniture, fixtures and fittings within the villa were of a high standard. Likewise, the pool area is extensive and very well maintained with excellent sunbeds / cushions. The pool area was in the sun from around 9am through to 8:30pm at the time we were there. We cooked at the villa every night, twice using the excellent brick-built BBQ (remember to pick up your charcoal and firelighters before you go to the villa!) and the sheltered dining area outside is perfect for enjoying dinner as the sun goes down. Overall, we had a totally relaxing stay at Casa Pura Vida. It is peaceful and in a very beautiful setting. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa and hope to return again at some point. Gary & Kim, UK

Lovely villa and outside space.

It was unfortunate that it was raining when we arrived in Spain but this was not so depressing when we arrived at the villa. It had a lovely lounge with gorgeous views all round. The electric radiators and air con provided much needed warmth. Luckily by the following day the weather perked up so we could enjoy the outdoor space. The outdoor kitchen and bbq was wonderful with much needed shade whilst cooking. And we loved the pagoda seating area with 360 degree views. Sun or shade depending where you sat anytime of day. Wonderful! The pool is just a nice size for a swim or cool down. The kitchen is well equipped with a modern hob and oven. A King size bed would be a nice addition to the bedroom. Plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. My only grumble would be the bathroom. That shower curtain and me did battled everyday. A shower cubicle would be better. I dislike stepping in and out a bath although I appreciate some people like baths. Just my personal opinion. The road leading to the villa by Andalusia standards is pretty good. It’s mostly made up, not too narrow or steep. Once you’ve done it once or twice it isn’t too bad, especially when you see how steep or narrow some of the roads are nearby. Competa and Torrox towns are about 15/20 minutes drive as too to Torrox beach for shops and restaurants. I would say if you plan on doing more cooking than eating out then stop at a Carefour on the way from the airport to the villa as shops nearby aren’t huge. Co-Op size.

Heel mooi, afgelegen vakantiehuis, perfect volgens de beschrijving. Moeilijke weg er naartoe, zeker de eerste keer, maar het went wel. Soms opletten met om niet teveel elektrische toestellen tegelijk te laten aanliggen of de waterpomp slaat uit. Maar laat dit je niet afschrikken. Ik zou dit huis zeker aanraden als je de drukte van Costa Blanca wat wilt ontvluchten en houdt van panoramische uitzichten!

Leuk om te horen dat het huis en de omgeving zo goed bevallen zijn! De rit naar het huis is de eerste keer wat zoeken maar zoals je zegt: daarna went het wel. De storing aan de waterpomp is intussen opgelost zodat toekomstige gasten daar geen hinder meer van ondervinden. Heel blij dat jullie genoten hebben van de rust en het prachtige uitzicht!

Die Finca ist ein Traum und liegt wunderbar in der Landschaft. Die Zufahrt von Torrex Richtung Competa ist zum Schluss etwas abenteuerlich. Aber wenn man die Serpentinen öfter gefahren hat, kein Problem!Leider hatten wir in der Nachbarschaft eine Baustelle. Aber die sollte inzwischen erledigt sein.Alles hat reibungslos geklappt und wir hatten insgesamt 2 wunderbare Wochen.

Sehr entspannender Hide away

Es war alles wie beschrieben. Ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist etwas aufregend, aber gut machbar. Wir waren froh, ein Auto mit etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit gemietet zu haben.

Wunderbar

Wir hatten ganz tolle Tage in der Villa Die Ruhe und der tolle Blick auf die Berge waren traumhaft. Die Villa ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet wir haben nichts vermisst. Problemeloser Check in Es war einfach von Anfang bis Ende wunderbar

Schönes Haus an schöner Lage

Leider ist der Text verschwunden! Dann Schreiben wir es halt nochmals. Danke an die Hausbesitzer, es hat alles bestens geklappt. Die Zufahrt ist sehr speziell, aber mit dem richtigen Auto, wir hatten einen JEEP, kein Problem. Die Hausübergabe war "kurz und schmerzlos", das war es dann auch schon mit dem Service. Besten Dank für den "Notvorrat"! Das Haus und das Grundstück sind toll, schnell hatten wir mit der gedeckten Lounge unseren Lieblingsplatz. Das Haus ist nicht neu aber gepflegt, der Wasserhahn in der Küche sollte jedoch dringend gemacht werden. Auch die Brause an der Aussendusche könnte ersetzt werden. Wir haben uns erlaubt, den Duschvorhang zu ersetzten, der alte Vorhang war nicht sehr appetitlich. Das Bett dürfte 20-40cm breiter sein, aber wir waren ja nur zu zweit und hatten Ausweichmöglichkeiten. Wir können das Haus empfehlen für Leute, die auch mal zuhause bleiben wollen. Die Aussicht und die Ruhe laden dazu ein. Unser Andalusien-Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Die Wasserhähne wurden erneuert und der Duschvorhang wurde durch eine Duschabtrennung ersetzt. Belle maison au calme

Maison très agréable dans un environnement magnifique ! Par contre il serait appréciable que la climatisation dans la chambre puisse être utilisé toute la nuit car à cause du minuteur obligé de se lever toutes les 2 heures 😉. Un grand frigo serait le bienvenu également. Sinon c étais super !

Merci pour votre avis positif! Nous avons choisi un climatiseur avec une minuterie pour des raisons écologiques. Les ventilateurs assurent également un certain rafraîchissement pendant la nuit et sont moins polluants. Nous sommes heureux que votre passage chez nous ait été agréable et nous espérons vous revoir bientôt!
