A delightful home for a family vacation romantic getaway gold, this is the perfect place to visit. The kitchen HAS an oven, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, crockery, toaster, microwave, induction cooker, cutlery, glasses, rice cooker, kettle, teapot, washing / drying machines - linen and towels provided. The house can Accommodate up to 8 people comfortably..3 bedrooms with double bed, 2 bedrooms with single beds. One of the rooms: has a balcony Where you can see the road hand.

Great stay!

We stayed a full week in this very charming, elegant and convinient house, combining studies and long discussions. The owners made us feel like at home, welcoming us and prior in assisting us in the preparation of the stay, always reactive in answering our questions. We loved the house, its location, set-up and interior design where each of us found something they liked. The balcony, the living room and the large dining table allowed us fun group discussion. Thanks for having welcomed us and looking forward to meeting you again!

Central but quiet, charming, spacious house

We enjoyed our stay at this extremely spacious and well equipped house, which allows for quick access to restaurants and chateau, yet it is located on the side street so noise is quite minimal. There were 4 of us so we did not even need half of the rooms, but all rooms are well prepared for guests. There was even wine and basics in the kitchen like coffee, salt, pepper etc. Many thanks for the hospitality!

Very pleasant stay in a wonderful house

We stayed in this house for a weekend with our friends. It is a beautiful and charming town house, very close to the main street with all kinds of shops. We were warmly welcomed by Melda's husband, who was very kind and helpful. He explained all we needed to know about the house and its interior. We enjoyed our stay very much and would like to rent the house again next year. Thank you very much, Melda, for your patience and helpfulness during booking:-)

The owners were there to welcome us in late afternoon! Melda and Alan were so nice and welcoming. Showed us the house. We had plenty of space for 6 of us with spare space. The house was clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Great location in town and close to everything!! As we arrived late, it was so very thoughtful of the owners to have water bottles for us! Thank you Melda and Alan! We’ll see you again

Fantastic Location with Outstanding Hosts!

We had a wonderful time staying at this centrally located townhome. Three levels of living was perfect for us--Ground Floor has a nice living room with a flat screen TV , the dining room is charming and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to enjoy yourself and cook a light meal. Our hosts left some wonderful essentials that made it easy to enjoy the stay! The bedrooms are light and airy with comfortable mattresses and nice linens. The bathrooms are very modern with plenty of room and hot water! This is a very charming townhome with hardwood floors, architectural features, windows that open onto the street and an easy decor. If you are looking for a "homebase" in Fountainbleau, this should be your choice. Easy to walk to lovely restaurants and cafes. chateaus, churches, local shopping and markets. We would choose this property again! Thank you!

Excellent séjour

Très bon accueil des propriétaires. Maison chaleureuse bien décorée ,très agréable pour passer Noël en famille . Pas besoin de prendre sa voiture . Tous les commerces à proximité ainsi que le parc du château. Très bon séjour !

Fantastic!

We stayed with our family of 5. Very comfortable and well stocked. Central location was great for going out to play in the forest and walking downtown for lunch or dinner. Markets close by. Owners were very kind and had a wonderful time!

Charming house in a very good location with very nice owners

This was a great property for a three day stay in Fontainebleau for a couple, their three adult sons and spouses, and two small grandchildren (an infant and a three year old.) We came a few days early, before a family wedding and very much enjoyed our time in the town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was very good for gathering. The location was also very convenient - just a short walk from the chateau, with a very good restaurant, a bakery, and a convenience store just around the corner. Parking was easy to find on the street, within a two minute walk, and cost 10 Euros for a weekly permit, issued from a vending machine. The rooms are on three floors, but that was not a problem for any of us. The owners are very nice and were most accommodating.

Beautiful, spacious and perfect location!

The house feels much larger than the photos give credit for! Melda and Alan were very friendly and offered lots of flexibility when it came to booking our stay. They even left us some beer, wine and a few other things! We were a group of 7 and there was plenty enough space for all of us to stay for a week in total comfort. The house is well equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine, full kitchen etc as well as WIFI, which isn't listed on the page. The house is located just off the main street and is therefore a little quieter, with plenty of parking options within walking distance. The house does not have a garden but to be honest, it doesn't need one as there is a huge park just minutes walk away if you fancy spending some time in the sun! We'd very much recommend considering this lovely house if you plan on staying in Fontainebleau for any length of time. It's location and amenities make it ideal for climbers like us, or a family holiday. Beautiful house, flexible booking, lots of close by services such as parking, bakeries, restaurants etc. We'd be keen to come again next year!

A Fontainebleau Home Away From Home

Spent a wonderful month of July here, living in the heart of Fontainebleau with my wife and two boys (18 and 19). House is well equipped, comfortable, spacious and centrally located with one of Fontainebleau's best bakeries just across the road. Melda and Alan are very thoughtful, considerate, friendly and flexible landlords. They used to live here themselves, so anticipate and accommodate any issues that may arise, such as strong fans if temperatures rise, double glazing for the upper bedrooms, and cable TV channels available if needed. Coming from the US, we appreciated that everything was provided - towels, sheets, bin liners, dishwasher tabs - not-to-mention the wine/beer and other goodies. An entry to the Chateau park is at the end of the street, and parking a few minutes from the house was never a problem. The house has an Old World charm, yet the two bathrooms are up-to-date with good, strong showers. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and hope to return at some point.

Authentic and wondeerful French experience

What a wonderful place in which to commence our French vacation! We were five adults and two children and the house and it's owners could not have been more accommodating. After the long haul from Perth via Singapore all we wanted was a bed and to get settled. Alan drove through Paris peak hour traffic to meet us on Monday morning. He left us wine, beer, coffee and a kitchen full of the basics. The house is ideally placed in Fontainebleau, eclectic and very comfortable. We felt most welcome and relaxed into the festivities of the Gypsy Jazz Festival. We could fall out of bed and have fresh baguettes and croissants in five minutes. We didn't want to leave, but Paris called. Everyone agrees that our time in this lovely, old townhouse was the best part of our three weeks in France. Thank you Alan and Melda for making it so.

Perfect place to stay in Fontainebleau

We returned to Fontainbleau with our family to visit after living there for a year as a couple in 2006. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Fontainebleau. This beautiful and authentic townhouse is very well equipped, extremely comfortable and perfectly situated for a holiday in Fontainebleau. Travelling with a young family always means that you need to be able to operate well where you are staying to make the most of your holiday. The salon, cuisine and salle à manger on the ground floor were very convenient. With bedrooms upstairs, it was easy to enjoy the living areas once children were asleep. The kitchen was very well equipped and clothes washing machine and other appliances all in good order - making looking after family needs very easy. We loved being so central and close to the shops, chateau and gardens, and of course, the carousel. We found it easy to park down the street from the house in car park but only needed the car when we were going out to the forest and villages. We could do everything we needed to in town by walking. The bedrooms were very comfortable and recently renovated bathrooms a sanctuary. The heating was also great on the couple of colder days we had while we were there. Melda was very helpful in arranging the booking and both Melda and Alan on our arrival. We really appreciated their flexibility when we were much later arriving in Fontainebleau than we had expected. It was also comforting to have them easy to contact during our stay. Thank you Melda and Alan for a wonderful week that we hope to repeat again in the future.

Very very nice!!!

Fantastic house, central location

We had a lovely stay in this house, which is centrally located and close to a supermarket, bakery and various chocolate shops. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked several times. The house was clean and we were welcomed by a variety of goodies, which was appreciated. We would definitely return. Thanks Melda

Easy living

We were supposed to be 6 people staying at the townhouse for seven days. Circumstances wanted it to be only 4 people. Anyway, we had a great stay with more than enough room. We guess the house has room for 8-10 people. The standard was to all our likings. Not really missing anything. The kitchen was well equiped. The beds were nice and the bathrooms was functional. All shoping, restaurants and bakeries are just around the corner. Parking was close, not to expensive and not difficult to find. Summa summarum we really would like to come back.
