Imagine having all the comforts of home (including high speed Wireless DSL) but in a peaceful and tranquil environment. That’s what you’ll find at Lazy Days Mountain River Cabin Retreat - a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath vacation cabin, with breathtaking Year Round Mountain Views, nestled in the Cacapon mountains in a park-like setting on 3+ private acres, and just a short stroll from private community river access to the sparkling Cacapon River, which is a tributary of the Potomac River.

Whether your Vacation Getaway is to just hibernate with family & friends, or enjoy the many area activities & sites, this is the place where you will find it all!

For those looking for a Romantic Getaway, Lazy Days Cabin Rental has so much to offer without even leaving the cabin. Enjoy a movie on the 42' plasma TV; cozy up to the warmth of the Wood Burning Fireplace; soak your cares away in the Hot Tub while taking in the magnificent mountain views; sip iced tea on the relaxing screened porch, or prepare your favorite someone a romantic dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. A gas grill is also available for that afternoon BBQ. If you feel like getting out for a bit, there is no lack of things to do! Downtown Berkeley Springs offers many antique shops, specialty shops, art galleries, acclaimed spas, massage therapists, a movie theater, and many restaurants sure to please any palate. A short drive down Rt. 522 in Berkeley Springs and you'll discover Cacapon State Park, which offers world class golfing, horseback riding, paddle boat rentals, swimming, dining and endless trails for hiking and mountain biking - the list goes on and on!

We have a 2 night minimum November-May and September, 3 night minimum June-August and October, and a 3 night minimum during holidays and the days immediately before and after.

Cabin was cozy and beds were comfortable. There were treats out for our dog! Hot tub was great and plenty of living room seating for the group. Definitely sit on the porch and bird watch. We didn’t catch any fish but it was a nice spot to try.

We had a fantastic stay at Lazy Days River Retreat. The cabin was exceptionally well equipped and clearly designed with guests in mind. It had everything we needed, including an ice cream maker and an air fryer, which was a great surprise. Even the kitchen knives were actually sharp, which rarely happens in rental cabins, and made cooking much easier.The host went above and beyond by leaving a bottle of sparkling wine, coffee, and cookies, a very thoughtful and welcoming touch. The jacuzzi was excellent and perfect for relaxing, especially after a long day.The decoration truly captured the feel of a real mountain cabin, warm, cozy, and authentic. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described.A special thank you to Eric and Meg for being such thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Everything was great and we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway.

Just what we needed for a short getaway

I would highly recommend renting this property for a peaceful getaway. We had some personal issues that came up during our stay but the property managers were very understanding and accommodating.

Private, pretty cabin

Cute cabin nestled into the hill side of a hill down a quiet gravel road. Inside you find a welcoming decor that is very comfortable, a wood burning fireplace with wood provided and a wonderful hot tub waiting to be enjoyed. Nice weekend spent relaxing, hiking and relaxing

Perfect Anniversary Weekend

My husband and I along with our 2 year old pup stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed walking, hiking, relaxing in the hot tub, and sitting by the fire. The house was very clean and had an extremely well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the local restaurants, brewery, and farmers market. We look forward to returning with family and friends!

Cosy getaway

We went to stay at the cabin for a weekend getaway. The cabin is very cosy and comfortable and the kitchen was fully fitted with everything you need. It started snowing overnight on Friday and there is no better place to get snowed in, sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the snowy landscape. We took our dog along and really enjoyed ourselves a lot. The cabin has a decent internet connection for entertainment and was very quiet otherwise to really allow you to relax. We would go there again anytime!

NYE Weekend Trip

Had a nice, relaxing 3 day weekend celebrating the new year at Lazy Days. Took a couple nice walks around the surrounding area, but spent most of our time cooking, playing board games, and relaxing in the hot tub. Would recommend bringing some extra toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Other than that, everything else was provided, including a nice little welcome package with some thoughtful treats. If what you’re looking for is an affordable, simple, no frills kind of space in a semi-remote area, this is the place.

Perfect Place to Disconnect and Reconnect!

Life crazy? Work wearing you down? Need to escape, relax, and focus on what's important? BOOK THE LAZY DAYS RETREAT RIGHT NOW! This was my first VRBO booking ever and it far exceeded expectations. Aside from the beauty of the West Virginia hills and quiet woodland surrounding the property -- reasons enough to choose this location -- the owners have provided every possible amenity and comfort you can imagine... and many you wouldn't. Feel like making a milkshake? They have a milkshake machine. Got a craving for homemade ice cream. There's an ice cream maker on the kitchen counter. Despite your pledge to not check the work e-mail and still have that itch? Yep, the WiFi works perfectly. It's obvious that the owners take great pride in their home and we were fortunate to have such a welcoming and relaxing retreat. Sparkling clean, quiet and comfortable, and more than enough space to spread out, grab a book and read in front of the fireplace, sink into the hot tub, or just sit on the deck or porch and zone out. Thank you to the Day* family for sharing their wonderful retreat with the rest of us. This is truly a "home away from home" and one we're looking forward to returning to. *The Marx Lazy Day vintage farm toys... took almost 24 hours to "get it." Great touch. :)

Would Stay Again; However

My wife and I were comfortable during our stay and would likely return if welcome. The heat works, furniture is comfortable, kitchen is the best appointed I’ve seen. The exception is knives, they are low-quality and need to be sharpened, I wouldn’t let renter use my knives. I cooked a few meals, and the kitchen surpassed my needs.Kitchen was very dim with a single 60W in the ceiling and the sink and microwave lights were burnt out. It was too dark to work so I replaced them all.Toilets had dark hard water stains below the water line. House was cleaned prior to our arrival, so I question the cleanliness of the house.Frontier DSL provides internet access at 3 Mbps. Wiring from the NID to phone jack is cracked. Cable from phone jack to modem is kinked. Slow speed makes streaming pause, web browsing is slow.Below freezing most nights, with a low of 14. No blankets in the closet we had access to, light blanket on the bed was too little.No toilet cleaner, vacuum, or wet vac available.Instructions seemed very outdated, specifically those for the AC that mentioned a windows AC in the master bedroom.Issues with the house: •Some baseboards missing•Hallway wall plate nailed to wall•Paneling poorly installed and not complete•Marks on walls from baseboard heat removal•Water marks and streaks on walls•Modem shelf is loose•JBoxes not extended when paneling added•Ext light (120VAC) wired with telephone wire and spliced into extension cord, no weatherproof box.

Nice getaway!

The cabin was very cute and had every appliance you could possibly want. Fireplace was as nice as was the hot tub! Owner was very responsive. Location is beautiful. I would definitely recommend and in fact have already done so to a few friends.

Cozy Cabin, great property

Great cabin, perfect location for a fun getaway! The cabin had everything we needed. The property is very private, we enjoyed using the hot tub on the deck. The owner was very generous with sharing his firewood with us for the fireplace. Communication with owners was great. Perfect getaway!

Perfect relaxing getaway

This cabin was amazing! Incredible views and rustic charm inside and out. They put a lot of love and special touches to make it a special place. It was so quiet and relaxing. We loved the hot tub while enjoying the view. We were able to make a few meals with all the necessary pans and dishes etc that you could ever need. We even played poker with cards they had there. Going in to Berkely Springs is a definite must! Charming shops and restaurants. Eat at Tari's they have amazing food and service. We hope to visit again now that we know how amazing the cabin and area is!

Weekend getaway January 2022

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The house was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub and the real fireplace. The location was very quiet, just what we needed for our getaway!

Cozy, beautiful, relaxing

Lazy Days was a nice time. Between the incredible number of channels and the always-ready hot tub, a relaxing vacation is inevitable. My fiance and I loved relaxing in the hot tub in the middle of a snowy mountain - it really was the best part for us. The city of Berkeley Springs nearby was beautiful and gorgeous - definitely worth a day trip. The only issue for us was that the master bed had animal hair all over it. And it wasn't just one layer - it was every sheet. The other two beds were fine so we ended up sleeping in a different bed. I know the place is pet friendly and that animal hair can be hard to clean up entirely, but the sheets were covered. The rest of the cabin was kept very clean. Overall, the stay was peaceful, the hosts had several nice touches, and the surrounding area was beautiful and memorable. I would go here again for sure, but I would bring my own sheets next time.

Week away

My husband and I wanted a week away to relax . This place was awesome. Beautiful fireplace, great hot tub and everything you could need in a kitchen. We did go in town and were disappointed that a lot of businesses were closed but it is February. We still had a nice time away

Great stay

Lazy Days was exactly as advertised and perfect for a quiet weekend. The house was clean, and everything (and I do mean everything was provided). Spices, any small kitchen appliance, soap, paper towels, etc. I don't think you will have to bring anything except food. They even delivered firewood and plowed the driveway when it snowed. The property was quiet and relaxing. The hot tub was just what I was looking for. If the weather was a bit warmer I am sure I would have taken advantage of the screened in porch as well.

Relaxing getaway!

A great lazy cabin weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and appreciated the easy access to the wood supply. The hot tub was lovely and felt like a secluded resort. The kitchen was impressively well stocked with everything you could need. Thank you!

We strive to maintain a very clean, comfortable, and amenity rich vacation/weekend getaway experience for our guests. Many of our guests return time and time again! Though most guests come from the Washington DC METRO area, some have come from as far away as England and Alaska! We absolutely love to read the guest journal when we arrive at the cabin! It makes us so happy to hear all about the wonderful adventures and quality family time our guests had experienced! Since we are a dog friendly rental, we also get to read all about the exciting escapades of our canine friends! We have a Boxer who absolutely loves playing fetch in the river, and long walks down the beautiful country lanes.

Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway, or a week-long family vacation, we are completely confident that our cabin will exceed your expectations. Truly, no disappointments here folks!
