Les Lilas is like a small village, just over the border from Paris Proper. Get to the center in no time, but you can also find everything you need at hand: lively bars, diverse restaurants (Chinese, Indian, Italian, French...), cinemas and theater, several parks...
Metro is just a walk through the park (6 min), then ride 14 min to the center. City bikes (Velib) on all sides, streetcar, bus and carshare.
Street parking is free in the vicinity of the building.
