Family Tides at Whidbey Island is a luxury vacation rental home with beautiful west-facing views from almost every room. This unique property is situated high on a bluff with a sweeping vista of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Panoramic water views will greet you upon entering the front door. The open floor plan creates the perfect free-flowing entertainment space, from the kitchen to the dining room, down into the living room and game room, with each room opening outside to the deck. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms provide comfortable accommodations for up to 8 guests. Semi-private stairs will lead you down to the beach where you can enjoy a cup of coffee at sunrise or glass of wine during sunset or go for a stroll along the water. Centrally located on the island, this home provides the perfect setting to enjoy the best Whidbey has to offer.

Family Tides at Whidbey Island finished a complete renovation in 2018, including a custom gourmet kitchen, remodeled bathrooms, new flooring, new deck, new stone fireplace, new lighting fixtures and much more! 2H Designworks, a boutique interior design firm based in Seattle, created a stunning vision for the home that came to life in the selections made throughout each room. Every last detail was carefully planned, from the gorgeous quartz countertops to the sleek bathroom tiles, from the stylish lighting to soothing paint colors and certainly the beautiful decorating selected throughout.

The home has been furnished with top quality pieces from Room & Board, Serena & Lily, Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, Circa Lighting, Safavieh, Wisteria and more. All of the bedrooms feature new luxury mattresses and pillows and have been outfitted with Egyptian cotton sheets and high-end linens from Serena & Lily, The Company Store, Crate & Barrel and Bloomingdales.

Just off the entrance foyer, the step-down living room features a wall of windows, allowing guests to soak in the beautiful view from any seat. During warm summer nights, open the sliding doors to let in an airy breeze and free-flowing movement from inside and out. Stretch out on one of the loungers and let the sounds of the waves lull you to sleep for an afternoon nap. On chilly nights, relax by the warmth of the fireplace with a nice glass of wine.

Guest will enjoy playing ping pong or foosball in the in the game room, conveniently located off the living room. Looking for family game night? Choose from any number of the provided board games, cards or puzzles. Looking for movie night? Relax on the couches to enjoy the show on the new 65-in TV, with provided access to Netflix and YouTube TV (provides complete TV Cable channels).

Cooking and entertaining are seamless in the newly remodeled gourmet chef's kitchen, featuring appliances from Bosch, Electrolux, Thermador and more. The kitchen is fully stocked with endless chef's cookware, gadgets and small appliances, including a toaster, coffee maker, blender, slow cooker etc. In addition, guests have access to the Weber grill located on the deck just outside the dining room that comes equipped with a permanent propane hookup. Visit one of Whidbey's wonderful farmers' markets to create your own farm to table experience at home. Whether eating inside the dining room or outside on the deck, guests will enjoy sweeping views of Puget Sound.

A beautiful dry bar is located between the kitchen and dining room, providing the perfect place to serve wine and hors d'oeuvres before sitting down for dinner. The dry bar features a wine fridge, separate beverage fridge drawers and nearby stool seating so guests can relax while keeping the chef company!

The continuous open flow from the kitchen to the dining room makes for an ideal entertainment space. With comfortable seating for 8 overlooking Puget Sound, guests will enjoy the view with every meal. Want to eat outside? Step through the sliding doors and dine al fresco on the deck at the beautiful teak table with bench seating.

Just off the kitchen is the remodeled laundry room, complete with new Electrolux efficient washer and dryer. A side door provides convenient access to the driveway and side yard.

The luxurious master bedroom suite offers stunning water views at sunrise and sunset from the 2nd floor of the home. Fall asleep to the sounds of waves washing up to sun lighting up the sound. Relax from the comfort of the king-sized bed with Egyptian cotton sheets and soft linen duvet. Curl up in one of the two comfy chairs with ottomans for quiet conversation or with your favorite book. Open the sliding doors to the private balcony to bring the gentle water breeze inside. The newly remodeled master bath features an over-sized shower including a rain head, a soaking tub, and double-sink vanity. One walk-in closet and one additional 2nd closet complete the suite.

There are two beautifully appointed guest bedrooms on the main floor along with a separate newly-remodeled hall bathroom to share. Both guest rooms feature queen-sized beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, luxury bedding, seaside inspired artwork and comfortable floor space for circulation. Each bedroom has large windows that let in soft natural light and offer peek-a-boo views of the water. The main level guest bathroom features a stunning floor-to-ceiling tiled walk-in shower with new Kohler fixtures.

Kids of all ages will enjoy relaxing in the 2nd floor bunk room, complete with four twin-sized beds and attached full bathroom. This special bedroom is the perfect space to enjoy quiet time with a movie on the wall-mounted TV or read a book curled up in bed. Two corner windows bring in beautiful natural light and views of the sound. The full ensuite bathroom has been tastefully decorated with whimsical wallpaper and nautical touches. The bathroom includes a tub with shower, double sink vanity and large storage cabinet.

Family Tides at Whidbey is outdoor living at its finest! The over-sized deck provides a variety of seating areas, including 4 comfortable lounge chairs, 4 Adirondack chairs, 2 additional couches and a fire pit. Enjoy sweeping views of Puget Sounds and the Olympic Mountains across the water. Soak up the sun as you watching boats of all kinds go up and down the shipping channels as well as the variety of birds that fly by. Keep your eye out for bald eagles - they have been spotted many times flying past the house and like to perch in nearby trees. Warm up on a chilly night by the outdoor fire -- this gas firepit features "hassle-free" use with its permanent line to the propane tank. For access to the beach, follow the semi-private steps down to collect shells or go for a stroll with your morning coffee. The landing on the way down is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset glass of wine while taking in the views. On a clear day, Mount Rainier can be seen from the beach in the distance to the south!

Whidbey Island has many wonderful places to visit and explore! Spend a day strolling through the charming towns of Coupeville or Langley where you will find art galleries, boutique shops and delicious restaurants. Head to Greenbank Farm for a bite to eat or wine tasting. Make history come to life as you explore the bunkers and cannons at Fort Casey -- the expansive grounds at the Fort are also the perfect place to fly a kite on a windy day. For breathtaking views, hike the bluff trail at Fort Ebey Historical Reserve. For longer hikes, head north to Deception Pass State Park where you will find over 38 miles of hiking trails through ancient forest as well as beautiful of course the historical Deception Pass Bridge. For adventures on the water, head to Langley for kayaking on Saratoga Passage or head up to Anacortes for a whale watching adventure. Or simply visit one of the local farms or seasonal farmers' markets for a quiet day back home preparing a beautiful meal. Whidbey Island has something for everyone and the possibilities are endless!
