Minutes to I-26( you can see it), yet feels like you’re in the country. Picturesque views of the mountains and cattle grazing in the field next door. Close to many popular tourist destinations, Asheville, Greenville, Tryon, Landrum, and Hendersonville. Newly constructed custom house with many unique features like sliding barn doors, hardwood maple floors, and granite counters. Laundry room door is the original door from an old house on this property. Screened in porch has peaceful views of the blue ridge mountains and the surrounding pastures.

Great weekend escape

Incredibly clean, comfortable and homey with thoughtful touches throughout. Loved the added benefit of waking up to beautiful views of the mountains and seeing several baby calfs in the herd grazing just outside the property. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time in this sweet cottage! Gorgeous view of the mountains! Well decorated and massively equipped with many extras…coffee, spices, laundry soap, doggie bags, etc. Beds, pillows and furniture were all very comfortable! Best rocking/swivel chair ever! We had many discussions about whose turn it was next! Our younger boys’ loved the loft and really enjoyed climbing up and down the ladder. Cathedral ceilings make the cottage seem a lot bigger than you would think. We’re a family of five and we didn’t feel crowded at all. The yard was a great space for our dog. Screened in porch was comfy and a very relaxing/peaceful spot to have our morning coffee, especially while viewing the beautiful mountain tops. We all loved watching the cows as well! Just a wonderful place overall, honestly can’t say enough about how perfect of a Thanksgiving Holiday we had as a family! And to top it off Ms. Julie delivered our order of fresh produce, grass fed meat and the most amazing homemade cheddar sour dough bread we’ve EVER had from her Family Farm Store! We will definitely visit again!

A gem on the farm

I’m so thankful we booked this house! Between the beautiful views, attention to detail, cleanliness, tasteful decorating and comfortable beds, we were beyond happy! We were in town for a horse show at FENCE, and the house was only 13 minutes to the show grounds. There are goods restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store if you prefer to cook. We would love to stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Relaxing views

This is our second visit and loved staying again. Came to see the fall colors on the blue ridge and Maggie Valley. They were spectacular! Just a very pleasant place to stay and close to beautiful drives.

Great time in the foothills

We love coming to this area because of its proximity to horse country, vineyards, hiking, breweries, and cute restaurants. The house was super cute and clean. It was a treat to be able to watch the cows (and single sheep, Lambert!) outside. The sunsets were beautiful and it was a great spot for our family. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Relaxing getaway

My sister and l loved the views of the blue ridge mts and the fields with roaming cows. The house was very comfortable and relaxing. It is close to cute towns and beautiful country drives. We are already thinking about coming back for the fall colors! We have stayed at several vrbo properties and this was top on our list.

Country delight

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cattle Ridge. The back screened porch was our favorite spot because we had a beautiful view of pastures, the Blue Ridge mountains and...cattle! They were such fun to watch. Our hostess was easy to communicate with; she went the extra mile to answer questions we had about their livestock. The location was within a 20-30 minute drive of restaurants and grocery, and we had a wonderful hike at the nearby Blue Wall Preserve. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy family and God's creation.

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and our two young children had a fantastic stay at this cozy house. We were there during a winter storm and we had the best time playing in the yard and watching the cattle in the snow. The owners were extremely friendly and easily accessible. They even came to shovel the driveway for us when it was time for us to leave. The house had everything that we could have possible needed. My 5 year old LOVED staying in the loft area! We would definitely stay here again and recommend this house to others.

Outstanding House!

What a beautiful house. Looks like it was built yesterday! Very nice and everything was so comfortable. Great place to sit on the porch and watch the cows as the sun sets. My family really enjoyed our stay.

A perfect weekend!

Thank you for another wonderful stay in your beautiful home! It was a great location for our weekend horse show at FENCE. It was so nice to come back to your home after a long day to relax , grill and enjoy the view! Thank you for rushing over to bring us a propane tank. That was not necessary but very much appreciated. The house was clean upon arrival. We enjoyed cooking in your beautiful kitchen. Thank you for allowing us to stay! We look forward to coming again!

Charming, clean and spacious cottage

We stayed in this wonderful cottage for about 21 days. It’s exactly as depicted in the photographs on the website. Everything was clean and in working order. The owners were very responsive and helpful with answering our questions. The property is situated close to the highway (no road noise) so it was easy to travel around the area. Highly recommend!

Relaxing

Family Get Together

A great little place to rent. Decorated nicely and the owner has thought of all the details as far as amenities. Beautiful view out the back and towards the mountains. The only negative would be it is close to I-26 and you can hear traffic while sitting out on the screened porch. We were here visiting family and it was close to their home but if I was coming up to enjoy the mountains I would want something a little more secluded.

Perfect for us

We stayed here while traveling up I-26 as an alternative to a hotel and it was perfect for our family! The back yard is so nice and we enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. Loved the decor and beds and furniture so comfortable!

Simply Awesome

I only had one complaint that I already disclosed to the owner; I wish that their property could be replicated wherever I traveled. A very comfortable, well-appointed and restful place for me while I traveled along I-26. Highly recommend.

My husband and I built this cottage as a special getaway place. We’ve stocked it and furnished it as a place we would want to stay in and do occasionally! We have 6 children and raise grass fed beef, as well as own a concrete finishing company. Our guests can usually enjoy a view of our cattle grazing in the pastures behind the cottage .
