Take the beautiful winding drive, 10 minutes from both Blowing Rock and Boone, North Carolina to the amazing Whispering Hills Cabin! This magnificent house, with 6 large bedrooms, is designed to comfortably accommodate 15 guests with the feel of a modernly rustic mountain cabin. There is plenty of room for gathering in the huge great room/dining room/kitchen with room to spare for quiet personal time.

A five-minute drive or a short downhill bicycle ride, to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Whispering Hills is an awesome, private home that is within a short distance to hiking, fishing, sightseeing, ski resorts, restaurants, shopping and tourist destinations of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.

The host was the epitome of what a host should be, gracious, professional and answered questions immediately. The house was incredibly furnished with wood carvings everywhere, and the temperature got down to 17 degrees and every room in the house was warm. The open space allowed all ten of us to be together and see and communicate with one another. The six bedrooms allowed us to provide everyone that needed a separate space to have one. The guest that just turned one needed a dark space for naps and separate space for sleeping at night. The master bedroom had a closet that doubled as a small room and worked perfect for the one year old. The house is conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock making our trips to activities a short ride away. I highly recommend the house and look forward to renting the house again.

If you are looking for a place in the mountains, this is the place for you. It is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at the top of a steep, curvy climb. Still, it's only about 15 min from Blowing Rock or Boone. There are neighboring homes but the wooded lots make for privacy. The parking is a bit tight but manageable. The home is huge, the six bedrooms are very roomy, and the beds are comfortable. One of the bedroom suites was the size of a small apartment. The layout of the bathrooms worked very well to accommodate the bedrooms and public area. We had 8 in our party, high school graduates from BCHS Class of 1974, so, not spring chickens, and we were very comfortable in this home. We cooked dinner and breakfast in and found everything we needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. The dining space could accommodate 12 and possibly 16 people.Outside, there were a couple of tables and plenty of chairs on the large deck. The weather was nice so we enjoyed sitting out there, having a drink together, and catching up. On one of our days, we made the 15 minute trip in to Blowing Rock. We had a wonderful time there checking out all the shops and of course sharing a great meal at one of the local restaurants. We had a question about check-in procedures and Brad, our host, responded. He was very nice and helpful.Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this home.

The house was lovely with ample space for 7 adults and 4 children. I wish we had brought or rented more toys and books for little children, ages 2-6.We loved the covered porch which gave us a place to hang even on rainy days. Proximity to Tweetsie and parks in Boone was great.Brad was available to make suggestions and answer questions.Kitchen well stocked, beds were made and towels out when we arrived.

A wonderful house for a bunch of close friends and family. The main gathering area on the ground floor is spacious enough for all to spread out and the extensive deck and porch (rockers!) make it all the better. Everything was comfortable, the owner very responsive, and things went so smoothly.We spent most of our stay at the house but Boone and Blowing Rock are nearby providing plenty of shopping and entertainment. Be warned though, parking in town isn't always easy to get. Busy places! So maybe ride share into town.All told, would definitely stay at this place again.

Wonderful property for a large group- kitchen and dining area/living room had lots of room and space to spread out. It is unusual to find a six bedroom house where every bedroom has a king or a queen. Property was clean and in a great location. We spent a lot of time on the front porch. The only feedback we had was wishing more trees were cut down around the house in order to see the gorgeous mountain views which you could see from one of the master bedrooms upstairs. Great place, will stay again!

Lots of room for a large family vacation. The kitchen was one of the best stocked weā€™ve ever rented and could seat our crowd at meals. The beds were comfortable. The towels were top quality. We spent time on both the front porch and the back deck. We seemed to be about 20 minutes away from the activities we chose to do with the exception of Grandfather Mountain. The Host was very accommodating. The community had a boil water advisory during our stay and he provided more than we needed in the way of drinking water. He promptly answered every single time we messaged.

Great House - Well Equiped

We were in Boone for my son's graduation. Plenty of room for my family. The kitchen is very well equipped for any cooking you might want to do. Everything was very clean and the house is very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Great Mountain Retreat

The property is exactly as advertised. The property manager is prompt and helpful. We love coming here. The foosball table is busy with competition anytime we are not out enjoying activities elsewhere. S'mores at the fire pit are a favorite final night treat.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

House is exactly as advertised. Large spacious rooms and bathrooms. Every family had their own space. House was well stocked. Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. Lots of space to play board games and watch movies. Short drive into town. Would definitely recommend!

Loved this home, very open kitchen and living area for all 14 to be together at one time. Kitchen was so great, well stocked for our big meals. WiFi worked perfectly, home was very warm and had gas logs for heat and ambiance. Just enjoyed it immensely!

Recently rented as a getaway for extended family & we would highly recommend it! The house was very clean & convenient location to activities in Boone & Blowing Rock. As mentioned in other reviews, the kitchen was very well stocked. With 2 tables and kitchen bar/stools, there was plenty of seating for meals and games. As a large group, we appreciated the roominess. None of the rooms felt cramped. Our group included some little ones and we appreciated the fact that noise did not carry much from room to room. There was plenty of living space on the first floor (living room open to kitchen, small room with toys & 2 chairs open to living room & a small game room). There was also plenty of parking. We ended up with 7 cars and had to shuffle them around once or twice, but they all fit in the driveway. We enjoyed the grill, fire pit & covered front porch. The owner was great to work with and always prompt in his responses. The only issue that we had was ants in the kitchen. But the owner was very responsive and had the exterminator out the next day. A great house for a group!

We were in town for a wedding. This house was a great fit for our family. Homey, immaculate, and we enjoyed the unique architectural details and decor. Fabulous house away from the hustle and bustle of town. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Highly Recommend

This home exceeded our expectations in terms of layout, functionality and condition. Great for large families, family gatherings or small retreats. WiFi handled at least a dozen phones, laptops, and iPad's. Large screen TV in the main room, bedrooms and rec room. Master on the main for the early riser or mobility challenged. Outside there are great decks, a sloping rear yard, fire pit and enough room to fit 6 cars comfortably. Boone is just down the hill. Overall an enjoyable stay that accommodated 16 of us from 2yrs to 70 yrs old. Communication with Brad was quick and efficient.
