Beautiful Green Hill Beach House close to RI beaches, Watch Hill & Newport


Consider booking a week in September! The beaches are free, the tourists are gone and the weather is great!

2500 Square feet of family fun! Nicely decorated, clean and accommodating, we are perfect for small to large groups, with comfortable sleeping for up to 8 and plenty of parking for everyone.

Halfway between Newport and Watch Hill, we're on the ocean side of route 1, part of the Charlestown beach community and minutes to all the beaches with a neighborhood that's great for bikes and walking.

We offer 2 car passes to South Kingstown Town Beach, the towels, coolers and the folding chairs to get you there quickly and easily.

We recently renovated our big country kitchen and added a front, private court yard where you'll find the gas grill and dining patio for happy hour, dinners and any time relaxation.

The backyard is perfect for frisbee, croquet, and badminton which we provide. In back, there is an outside shower, and fire pit. Relax on the front porch.
Play ping pong on our 3/4 sized table either inside or out.

It's a short ride, either by car or bike to beautiful Green Hill pond which is part of our Ocean Ridge community and welcome to our guests free of charge with free boat launching.

2 kayaks at your disposal are on the racks at the pond and its so easy to take them down and get paddling. You'll find the best paddling in all of Rhode Island.

We are just a short drive to Charlestown Breachway, South Kingstown Beach, the Ocean Mist Beach Bar, East Matunuck beach, The Theater by the Sea, the Infamous Moonstone Beach and so many unique restaurants!

1/2 mile down Post Road you'll find a convenient village with a tiny CVS, a post office, the Supermini grocery store, wine, beer and liquor and really cute gift shops!

A family member stays in a back room of the house with their own entrance on the other side of YOUR area of this large house.
Although connected to the main house walls and door is well soundproofed. You probably wont see her, but if you did, say hello, she is very nice.

RI Beach Vacation

Property is spacious and great for 8 adults. Close to beaches and restaurants. Air conditioning units keep the house cool. This is our second year staying at the property and hope to stay next year.

Amazing Place

We had a great stay. The pictures of the home don't do it justice! Great place for a large family to be able to spread out. Outside patio is beautiful. My family wants to know when we can all go back and stay there again.

Our favorite place to stay in Rhode Island

We have been staying here for 3 years now and love the host family. It's location is in a great spot in the middle of all the best attractions on other side of it. Highly recommend. :)

The property was really nice. Beds were comfortable. Property had everything you need for a visit to RI: great kitchen well stocked with coffee, beach passes, games, access to kayaks, and well located. A/C, washer/dryer and internet made stay stress free. Notes on local places to visit proved helpful.

Cute place! The butler pantry was awesome for storage and the extra fridge came in handy. The stocked items like paper towels and trash bags were very convenient. The chiminea style fire area was a big hit. There is lots of room for cornhole outside and two large areas inside for meals and the outside dining setup is so private. We had a fantastic stay!

The johnston visit

Brian and Nanette home was so comfortable and homey with every thing We needed ! Nanette has a book available with every thing you need to know about south Kingston. Whenever we needed to know about restaurants and beaches was in the folder with her recommendations. I highly recommend this home to stay for a family get together look forward to visiting again next year.!

Brian and Nannette’s home was perfect for our family! Clean, big, ample parking, great water pressure in showers, large kitchen with all the appliances one would need. We didn’t use the outdoor shower, grill or fire pit as we were mostly at a relative's home at the beach but certainly would have had we had more time! Highly recommend.

As advertised, perfect for our week at the beach

The house is in great shape with all the amenities. We walked out to the bakery each morning for coffee and treats, went to the beach, Newport and many of our favorite local eating spots. Our niece had her two little girls with her and set up a spot for them in the downstairs back space. It was great for them and for us. In short, we will be back!

Just what the doctor ordered

We absolutely love staying at this beautiful beach home!!! This is our second year and hope to return in 2025. There is ample room for entertaining inside and out. The location is perfect for cruising around South County. As former Rhode Islanders this is the perfect spot for us, whether with grandchildren or adults only. We will be back! Nanette and Brian are wonderful hosts and attentive to our needs. Very generous hosts for sure!

Loved it!

This is by far one of the best properties we've ever stayed in with VRBO. The homeowner was very attentive the house was well stocked with things that some other homeowners don't bother with. The beds were incredibly comfortable plenty of room for guests to come visit and have dinner and close to all of the places that everyone would like to go. I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed staying at 355 Holly it was just right! If the opportunity presents again we will certainly try to stay in the same home! Thank You for a great stay!!!!

Two week family get away

The property was excellent. We loved all the space to spread out as well as the well equipped kitchen. We played a ton of ping pong and used the kayaks multiple times. If we had any questions, Nanette and Brian were extremely responsive to help with anything. The weather was a bit hot and muggy so the AC came in handy for sleeping. Also plenty of room to park for people coming and going. They had a lot of nice linens and towels which made it easy for us coming from out of town. All in all a great stay.

Wonderful home, great set up, very clean, and great location

Nanette’s home was perfect for us and our family vacation in Rhode Island. The house was clean. All household items were easy to find and clearly marked. We came with 5 kids that enjoyed swimming in nearby Burlingame picnic park and playing at the beaches. There was a small outdoor area around the house which was nice for throwing a ball. We even used the fire pit to make smores one night. We loved the outdoor patio for meals and the driveway was great for our 3 cars. I would highly recommend this house and would love to come back.

The most thoughtful hosts ever!

Nanette and Brian have really gone out of their way to supply EVERYTHING their guests might want for a lovely beach vacation. Not only did we find everything we needed, there were helpful notes all over the house on how things worked, where to find things, and suggestions for places to go. The house is beautiful inside and the S. Kingston town beach was perfect -- very clean, long enough for a good walk, and not too crowded. The neighborhood is rather densely populated, so it's a little noisy first thing in the morning, but this wasn't a problem for most of us, who are early risers. Really enjoyed kayaking on the beautiful salt inlet and family meals on the lovely patio! Overall a wonderful vacation.

Wonderful house in South Kingston

We were a family group of six reuniting for a long weekend. The host, Nanette, was exceptionally kind, quick to reply, and helpful. The house was spotless and extremely well supplied with towels, kitchen items, blankets, beach chairs— everything we wanted was right there! Very good value for money. The beaches and wildlife refuge hikes are great! So are the kayaks. Highly recommended.

GREAT VACATION HOME!!

This home was definitely one of the best! Property was Emaculate!! Comes complete with EVERYTHING. We couldn't have been more pleased. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the gadgets, pots and pans we could ever use. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels and linens. But best of all, we were provided with 2 beach passes, access to kayaks, beach chairs, etc. We were left guides for local activities, restaurants, etc. LOVED THE FIRE PIT AND PATIO AREA. Very quiet neighborhood. Thanks you for making this one of the best trips ever. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!!

Wonderful Week

This was a really terrific stay. Rhode Island is lovely and our hosts made everything easy for us. Beach access to a very nice beach with a little bit of surf and some walking (great for kids) was easy--just a short drive, kayaking on the pond was lovely (great birds), neighborhood biking was great, and the house has literally everything we could hope for: nice outside spaces to enjoy, even pingpong! We loved every minute of our week.

Comfy house

We had a great stay here for the week. Beds were very comfortable. Ceiling fans moved the air. We didn’t need the AC but it is there. Seemed to have everything we needed.

Simply the Best

I absolutely loved our stay here. Any question was answered so quickly. The house has to be my favorite from VRBO. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips. Light switches, fans etc. was labeled. Instructions on how to use anything. Can't wait to stay there again. Nanette & Brian you have done a perfect job!

Originally from Connecticut with consistent weekend drives to the Rhode Island Beaches finally brought us to purchase this wonderful house. We are ocean lovers and we are a part of the kite boarding community here. If we aren't sailing, we're fishing in the surf at Narragansett Beach, riding our bikes or kayaking on Green Hill pond which is gorgeous. We stay at our trailer at Worden's pond Family campground during summer months so we will be nearby if you need us.
