This was our second time staying at Old Mill. It is becoming our favorite places to escape from life. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, relaxing and peaceful… this is your place!

A great place to relax...

My sister and I stayed here on a sister's trip. We were looking for a place to unplug, relax, and enjoy the piney woods. This place was just the right spot for that. We enjoyed the friendly dog and gorgeous cat that visited our front porch, and the room was just the right size for sitting and visiting while sipping on a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

It was quiet and we felt safe. Trying to contact the host or customer service agent for verbo was impossible. We had trouble locating the cabin. Thank God for.the the friendly people that live in Kennard and Crockett who so helpful in letting us know where the cabin was.

Cute and unique place

This place was so unique and decorated really cute. However, they must have some mold issues..the smell hits you as soon as you enter. I have an allergy to mold and it did make my stay a little less comfortable but I was only there for a few days so I dealt with it. The cleanliness of the cabin was subpar. The microwave was pretty gross that I didn’t even want to heat my food up in it and there was a suspicious yellow stain on the sheets. There was a lot of spider webs and dead bugs in the bathroom (cans of raid and ant killer sat out on the front table top. They had a towel hanging on the back of the door which makes me wonder if it was a used towel so I opted to use a folded towel just in case. Over all I slept okay. Even though the sheets were stained they did smell fresh and they were very soft..the shower was clean and very good water pressure and they supplied fantastic smelling body wash. I would probably stay there again if they got a new maid or more cleaning help (whatever the issue was).

Very nice for a getaway

My husband and I traveled there from Houston to ride the Polar Express. We did not want to drive back the same night so we booked this VRBO. The property owner was very sweet and welcoming. She let us know that they have a restaurant that is just down the street, however we left town before it opened the next day, so we didn't get to try it. The cabin is very cute and welcoming. There is a porch/patio on the side were you can sit outside if you like (very nice). There are also multiple cabins close by (but not too close), so if you are traveling with multiple families there are quite a few options

Very nice!

Lovely place, very quiet and peaceful, loved the great decor and interesting antiques. Beautiful grounds...trees, etc.

Hideaway

Little suite in its own separate bldg with full amenities. Comfy, clean and in the middle of the stately forest. Plenty of fresh air.

Romantic Staycation

My partner and I had an amazing romantic staycation. We both work really long hours so this was a great way to spend time together and not have to travel thousands of miles away. We really enjoyed the cabin style tucked away in the Davy Crockett National Forest. We will surely be back. He still hasn’t stopped talking about :)

The cabin was very nice the bed was very comfortable the owner went out of her way to get diner for us the area around the cabin was well maintained my son just moved into the area and this will be our place of choice when we come visit!!;

Not what we expected. Very nice cabin so close to all the trails we wanted to visit. Very clean and the decorations were fun. Had a great time. Even the three legged dog was friendly.
