Beautifully updated and nicely furnished lakefront home. Welcome to the Grand Getaway!

A huge wrap-around deck offers plenty of outdoor relaxation with amazing views. A propane grill and an outdoor table are available for maximizing the outdoor experience.

A 50-foot dock with stairs to enjoy swimming in the clear Grand Lake waters. The Lake bottom is rocky, so water shoes are recommended. The use of a canoe and 2 kayaks are included. Explore the water and take part in some of Grand Lake's quality perch, walleye, and smallmouth bass fishing.

Be sure to enjoy the star-filled night sky and share great stories by the lakefront fire pit.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 4. Bedroom 1: King size bed, Bedroom 2: bunk beds.

Kitchen: Well appointed including full-sized electric stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and the oh-so-important Keurig coffee maker. No "roughin' it" here.

Bathroom: Shower (no tub)

Bring list: Your own food, sunscreen, water shoes, fishing poles.

Don't-bring list: Sorry, no pets allowed.

Minimum stay 3-days in low-season and 7-days (Saturday to Saturday) from Mid-June thru the last full week of August.

Cleaning fee: $140

Deposit: $250

This was a wonderful spot for a weekend away! I'd recommend Woody's for an awesome breakfast (I'm guessing their other food is good, too)! The lake is beautiful, and this location had every comfort of home!

This was our second time renting out this cottage and it is just so peaceful and it has everything you need. This lake was my childhood vacation place so it makes me so happy to have such an amazing place to rent on the same lake. I highly recommend staying here.

Awesome cottage on Grand Lake

we stayed for a few nights while in town finalizing some wedding details and really enjoyed our time. The cottage is very clean and well maintained and the views of the lake were fantastic. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect fall location

Came up for a wedding in Alpena and wanted to be somewhere on the water. This was the perfect location. Our second night we saw a tremendous northern light display. This cozy two bedroom one bath cottage is just perfect for four people. Very well equipped. We hope to return soon.

This is a GRAND getaway!

We can't say enough good about this home! We loved it, was perfect for us. Very clean (which is important, especially when most owners charge a fee for cleaning).Had everything you would need for a great vacation. Definitely felt like a home away from home. Will look for this place again in the future.

Clean and comfortable cottage on a beautiful lake.

Makes a great base camp and/or relaxing getaway. Clean and well stocked, if you forget something don't worry. Plenty to do within a short travel and Alpena with everything is only 20-30 minutes away.The hosts are amazing and the cottage is set up perfectly. The sunrise over Applegate island is picture perfect.

A great mix of fun and relaxation

The Grand Getaway was just what we needed for some fun and relaxation. The lake is beautiful and very clean. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. It was far away enough from everything to feel private and secluded, while also being close enough to everything to enjoy exploring, eating out, bike trails, beaches, etc. Highly recommend.

Another great stay!

5 years in a row, and we absolutely love this place. Chuck and Lisa are wonderful to work with, and have done a wonderful job to create a relaxing and well equipped cottage! We cherish the time we can spend at their lovely home!

Great cottage on Grand Lake

Everything was as advertised and couldn't have been easier to work with the property owners. The location on Grand Lake was perfect for our needs and the canoe and kayaks were a nice bonus!

Awesome Vacation!

The house was amazing and the lake was beautiful. We caught smallmouth bass and perch right off the dock. Enjoyed eating on the patio and a fire by the lake in the evening. Will definitely comeback for another stay.

Family Getaway

The cottage was beautiful! They had everything could ever need all set for us! There was one air conditioner in the bedroom, but after inquiring about needing air for my medical condition, when I arrived there was a portable one in the entryway also! The kitchen had everything I needed to cook with and the cottage was very very clean! I am very grateful for such a wonderful lake experience.

Family Getaway

This house fit our family of 4 perfectly! Very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out if needed. Water views from nearly every room in the house! Owners had detailed welcome notes, including points to interest in the area, fishing tips and even dining recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you!

Long weekend

Nice clean house, great views, great location. Had all the things you needed for a comfortable stay. Nice dried fire wood, some coffee pods , wifi, smart tv...room for a truck and boat trailer. I was able to dock my boat. This host absolutely cares about your stay. I cant wait to bring the family back.

Lovely cottage

We had a much needed relaxing stay, Chuck and Lisa were very gracious owners. They were so kind to us! Due to circumstances outside of our control couldn’t arrive til Monday which wasn’t an issue at all for them. The cottage was very comfortable, spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed with the perk of an amazing view of the lake with the fall colors at their peak!
