Q: What is there to do around town?
A: We are minutes away from Dover, New Philadelphia, and Ohioā€™s largest Amish
community. Nearby attractions include:
- Historic Zoar Village, Fort Laurens, and The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail
- Zoar Village Golf Course
- The Pro Football Hall of Fame (25 min drive to Canton)

Q: What about COVID?
A: We are taking extra precautions to keep our properties disinfected, which
includes the use of disinfectant on all door knobs, light switches, railings, faucet
handles, etcā€”in addition to all high-use areas.

Q: What about the guest cabin?
A: For groups larger than 14, the separate guest Cabin (sleeps 6) is available for an
additional nightly cost ($200/night). It comes with all the amenities:
- Large living room and fully stocked, eat-in kitchen
- Clothes washer & dryer
- Dishwasher
- Brand new electric AC and furnace
- Well water (though itā€™s perfectly fine to drink, it may have a different smell/taste
than youā€™d expect if youā€™re used to City Water)
- Located on the water

Q: Is it pet friendly?
A: Well behaved pets are welcome with well behaved owners. Pets do need to be
pre-approved and there is an additional $100/per pet fee.

Amazing and relaxing weekend away!

This was by far the best Air B&B we have been too! Rose thought of everything, literally! The house is beautifully decorates, clean and the amenities are amazing! Our kids were never bored, there was plenty to do for adults as well and it was so quiet and peaceful! We can't wait to go back again!

Comforts of home, away from home

We have stayed at The Cottage at Maple Pond with our group of 5 families for 3 years. It never disappoints. Rose pays such great attention to detail and we always have everything we need. This was our first year staying in the winter. While we were sad to not be able to make use of the pond, we enjoyed sled riding next to historic Zoar. Each visit has additional improvements made to the already lovely home/smaller guest cabin. We will be back next year!

This is an ideal place for a family gathering or a reunion. We had a wedding at the nearby Magnolia Spring Farms. The property has everything you need and more. It's beautifully decorated and has high-quality finishes and decorations. We were there in early fall, a couple of weeks from the leaves changing, and it was nice. This place is great for year-round stays. Would definitely stay there again and recommend the host. Highly communicative and fulfilled everything as promised.

The Most Thoughtful Family-Friendly Rental

We stayed here with five kids under three and had the best time ever. The house is filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay so comfortable. The kitchen was incredible, with a full knife set, a fully stocked spice cabinet, and every cooking utensil and tool we could possibly need. Most rentals barely have the basics, so this was such a gift. The owner went above and beyond and left us cookies, sā€™mores supplies, and so many toys and games for the kids. She even had pack n plays, high chairs, and a baby bath waiting for us. Traveling with little ones can be chaotic, but she made it feel easy. We loved the sauna and hot tub, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The extra toiletries were such a nice touch too. Weā€™ve stayed in a lot of places, and this one truly stands out. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Absolutely outstanding!

From the house to the property to the host, everything was excellent. Rose has put in so many different little touches that makes your stay at her property absolutely unforgettable, it is difficult to mention them all. The house was very clean, extremely well appointed and probably the best vacation rental property we've stayed in. If you are hesitating booking this property, stop hesitating and book. Great experience for both kids and adults.

We had a great experience and would definitely return. Our kids had a great time fishing in the pond and riding in the canoe. Everything provided by the owners was so helpful and thoughtful. I canā€™t say enough good about the Cottage on Maple Pond. It was wonderful. Our whole family enjoyed our time there. Our sons and grandsons fished from dawn to dusk. They loved it. Everything was perfect. Rose thought of everything down to the last detail. I never stayed at a place that supplied so much. We all canā€™t wait to come back.

Our stay at the cottage at Maple pond exceeded all expectations!

We used the house as a retreat for our Youth Group. Our experience was amazing. The amenities were endless from canoes, kayaks, floats, life jackets, fishing rods along with bait. The pond was beautiful with a blue tint and a an aeration system.The kids spent countless hrs. in the game room. We had our worship and devotion by the fire pit at night. The kitchen was well equipped and beds were made upon our arrival. We were surprised at check out with a special gift from Rose. She even provided us with a kit for making sā€™mores. I can not emphasize enough how pleased we were and would recommend this for families that include all ages.

Relaxing Getaway

Amazing! Book now!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We had such an amazing time at the Cottage on Maple Pond. The customer care is beyond anything we have ever experienced (and we travel a lot). They truly care about their customers. Everything was very clean and there were so many sweet details. There is so much to do right on the property that we never left during our stay. If it rains, the basement is filled with games and fun. On nice days there are kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, fishing and more! Book it now! You will not be sorry!
