Located on a working Buffalo Farm in Marshall within 20 minutes from the Buffalo River, enjoy what this 1-bedroom cabin with Kid's Loft has to offer. This perfect retreat features a Full Over Queen bunk bed, a Queen Size Convertible Sleeper Sofa Bed as well as a Kid's Loft with 2 Twin Beds, making it ideal for families or groups. Guests can relax in the serene bathroom, complete with a soothing full-size bathtub with a shower. The cabin stays comfortable year-round with heating and air conditioning. There is a covered porch with a Hot Tub and Dining space where you can grill and hang out with your family or group. Whether you’re unwinding inside or exploring nearby, this gorgeous cabin provides a peaceful escape. Large front yard for the kids to play, with fire pit, picnic tables and plenty of room for tent camping. You’re sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place. We offer Agri-tours of our fully functioning Buffalo Farm with each cabin stay. Other attractions include Buffalo River, Blanchard Springs Caverns, Kenda Drive In, Horseback Riding, Hiking, and restaurants, flea markets, and shopping.

Great place to visit. The Mr. L.C. was fantastic making sure we had all we needed. The buffalo ranch was a joy. It was great hearing how the farm works. The cabin was very nice, clean and has everything you need for your stay. Can’t wait to go back.

Great host and location!

Our family of nine and five dogs came and stayed at two cabins. Cabins were clean and totally fit our needs. The host was wonderful, and the free bison tour was one of the highlights of our trip!

Clean, comfortable accommodations with Mr and Mrs Ratchford being the absolutely most hospitable hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson and the interaction on our personalized tour was fantastic. A truly unique experience for us and we look forward to returning.

We just returned from a three-night stay at this incredible little cedar cabin hidden away up in the Boston Mountains near Marshall, Arkansas. It was everything we wanted. If you are looking to disconnect, relax in comfort and convenience, breathe in the mountain air, and be close enough to easily experience the spectacular sights of one of the many beautiful stretches of the Buffalo River in a completely unique way, this is where you want to be.The cabin we chose was quaint & cozy, just renovated, and perfectly rustic but with all the modern comforts you need. And pet friendly!! There was plenty of yard for the dogs to run. The cabin was spotlessly clean, the shower roomy, and the beds were comfortable after long days of hiking, kayaking, and exploring the river. Even the little kitchen was fully equipped for cooking our own meals with an outdoor grill available as well. The owners were so welcoming and passionate about what they do, giving us a tour of the acreage where we got to observe emu, water buffalo, American bison, heritage cattle and even a Scottish Highland steer who is aptly named Big Red. The property feels entirely secluded and so peaceful, yet you are just a short, scenic drive away from the Buffalo River's best hiking trails, swimming holes, and floating launch points.

This is a quaint, cozy cabin was perfect for my short stay. I was traveling with 2 dogs, both over 50 lbs. It is not easy to find a place that accepts pets over 20lbs. LC was very kind and accommodating, I got to meet a few of the Buffalo but for me the real treat was petting the female emu. If you are traveling through Marshall and need a place to stay, check out Ratchford Buffalo Farm, they have 2 additional cabins to accommodate varying needs.

Just what I was looking for nice quiet and secluded. The property owner went out of his way to give us a tour of his Ranch! Highly recommended! Nice touch with snack sticks in the cabin!

Amazing!

We stayed at the cabin for a long weekend getaway. We got to feed Water Buffalo out of our hands. The host is more than accommodating and checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. We will be back!

Family weekend

This is our second time staying in this cabin. We all loved it. Clean quiet beautiful. Plenty of space for kids to run and play outside They added a hot tub on the back deck since the last time and that was awesome!! Not far from stores and Buffalo. The kids got to see their baby water Buffalo and help feed it too. We will be going back every year we love it.

Fantastic weekend stay

The cabin is cute and was cozy for my daughter and I to stay at while we visited the Buffalo National River. We enjoyed the hot tub and grill, and the hosts inviting us to tour their buffalo farm was the highlight of the trip (especially meeting the water buffalo). We had a lot of fun in Marshall - don't skip the drive-in theater if you stay! - and intend to return again later in the season. If you have mobility issues, this particular cabin might not be the best one, but they have two others that would work quite well. Everything we needed was stocked, plenty of towels, and there's a grocery store close by for stocking the fridge. All in all a 5-star trip!

We came to town to canoe on the river and really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and had all the necessities. It was very private, but also convenient to town and only about 20 min to the river. Our host checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The tour of the farm was fabulous! The kids loved snuggling the emu and feeding the baby water buffalo and bison. The beds aren’t the best, but the air conditioning was great & there was plenty of hot water. The hot tub was great & our host left plenty of firewood for evening bonfires. We would definitely go back!

The cabin was cute and had plenty of sleeping room and loads of room for us to park and the kids to run around and play. But the real selling feature for this property are the owners. We had a family emergency which required a cabin at a moment's notice and a place to store a large trailer with animals. The owner was very accommodating, giving us a great rate, stayed up late to welcome our family members and make sure they were doing okay and settled in. The next morning, he stopped to check in on us, offer expert advice on how to solve our problems and offered his help any time in the future. Without going into a lot of detail, suffice it to say that without his compassion and hospitality, we would have been in a crisis situation. We have never been so well-treated and have now made a life-long friend!

We had the absolute best time here! The host was top-notch and so easy to chat with. The sleeping setup was perfect for both the little ones and the big kids, and everybody slept great. But honestly, the best part of the whole trip was getting to feed the bison, emus, and the rest of the exotic animals. You just can't beat that! 10 out of 10, we'd come back in a heartbeat.

My family and I stayed at a Ratchford Farms cabin for three days and had a great time while we were there. The Ratchford family was very hospitable and helpful and made us feel like the cabin was our home. Our kids were able to feed and spend time with their bison, water buffalo, cows and emus. When it was time to go, I'd grown attached to our quaint cabin and was sad to leave.

Restful Retreat

Its just the rustic feel I was looking for. I will say we opted to sleep on the couch and recliner bc we didn't feel like climbing up to the lofts each night.(and the beds weren't as comfortable as I am accustomed to). Not only did we enjoy hanging out in the quant cabin, relaxing in the pop up hot tub, star gazing on a clear night, and lounging by the outdoor campfire. Meeting with our host to feed the animals was the highlight of the trip! We also enjoyed doing things in the area: The town of Marshall was adorable and fun to explore. There is a beautiful overlook with a small coffee shop 10 minutes away. Tyler Bend Buffalo National River visitor center is about 25 minutes away, completely free to visit/ hike/ watch a short film over the history of river becoming the first national river in America. (There is also even more availability to see the stars at the river if you go at night). We fit in a lot of fun and adventure but also time of slowing down and resting. Just what we wanted!

Family trip

Our family had a wonderful time! Everything was perfect. The owner was so nice, he made sure we were settled in making us feel very welcome. This was a perfect location for our dog to run and play. The tour of the farm was enjoyable for the young and old. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend

Nice Stay

Stayed 3 nights for a short family trip. Very nice , quiet area. Owner was great. Farm tour was a bonus that we enjoyed. Would stay again if we return to the same area.
