Welcome to Casa Azul! If you're looking for a place with the best location and views in town this is it. We are just a 5 minute walk to Avenida del Mar which is San Clemente's eclectic "Main Street". Here you can find restaurants and shops of many kinds. We have a fantastic open air restaurant "NIcks", a delicious Thai restaurant "Mangut Thai" which has a beautiful dining room and fantastic food and for families with children the Baskin Robins ice cream shop is all the way up del Mar where it intersects with El Camino Real which is a great location for a nice family walk. Of course there are many other places to visit on del Mar so go walk and explore! This is the heart of San Clemente.
The casa has four gigantic 5' x 8' windows that look out the ocean white water waves and sunsets. The windows let in a lovely ocean breeze to keep us cool. We sit on the edge of a small canyon that has a great play ground and lot's of grass which adds a green relaxing feel to the casa. It's a wonderful spot for families. There are no homes behind us because of the canyon and park below. You can see Catalina Island most of the time. Just take our back steps as you head to the beach and the park. It takes only 2 minutes to reach the sand and beach trail. If you would like to explore the pier turn left on the trail and you'll see the pier which is just another couple minutes walk. The beach is sandy and the waves are gentle. We have a lifeguard station at the beach area at our canyon. We are also very close to Casa Romantic which was the founder of San Clemente's home. It is now managed by the historical society and is available for touring. It is perched above the pier in grand classic Spanish style architecture. We are a family owned and operated duplex. We have owned the casa since 1969. I have constantly been improving and up grading to make this casa a quiet, cool, relaxing place for all who visit. You will love it!

San Clemente vacay

Casa Azul was such a great place for our CA getaway. It is a short walk down to the beach/trail and quick walk to town. We loved it! So comfortable with great views toward the ocean and park. Photos show exactly what you will get when you walk in the door... very homey. Victoria was wonderful to work with. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. (Just an fyi for families with small children: this unit is upstairs. It may be inconvenient for transporting toys, etc.)We would love to go back!

What a wonderful and relaxing stay we had! So close to the beach, just a short walk down the street and past a park with picnic benches and a playground. Our kids played in the ocean every day and even though they are teenagers I'm glad there were two lifeguards on duty. This property is close to the pier, with food, ice cream and a souvenir type shop. At the pier, you can jump on the red line that will take you to the nearby outlet mall for free! There was also a green line but I'm not sure where that one goes. If you like deep dish pizza, definitely try Gilbroni's Detroit style pizza place. It was the best pizza I have ever had. The property was very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable too. I would say they ranged from medium to firm so we all found a bed that was comfortable to each of us. My favorite part was going to bed to the sound of the waves coming into shore. We will definitely try to stay here again. This was our favorite CA beach rental so far and the host is awesome! She was helpful and always responded to our questions

My best friend and I spent nearly a week in this eclectic, late 1960s era apartment with a magnificent view and great, walkable, location. It's a bit quirky, in a way that made us feel like we were privileged to stay in a friend's family beach getaway. It wasn't a 5-star glamorous resort, but it was tidy, comfortable, and led to massive amounts of girl talk, unleashed creative genius, and memorable watercolor miniatures.

Great Place

Excellent stay, property exactly as described. Perfect walking location to the pier and downtown with excellent view. Loved watching the sunsets from the living room. Playground right across the street for kids. Well appointed with everything we needed. Its an older property but a great price for the area. Has a small ac/heater in living room so bedrooms could get a little cold or warm so plan accordingly. Hope to stay again!

The GOAT (greatest of all time)

This was by far the best Vrbo I've ever stayed in. The view was amazing, the unit was so cozy and quaint. It really felt like home. And Victoria, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. If you're planning a beach vaca you have to stay here.

Lovely Beach Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Azul because of the beautiful view of the ocean, the surrounding area and the quiet neighborhood. We had a close walk down hill to the beach and to the pier. The owner, Victoria gave us clear check-in and out instructions and made herself available. She was very generous with our 8lb Shi Tzu who also loved the downstairs patio to play on. All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and we will definately be back!

We enjoyed our stay, the property is dated and the kitchen supplies need a refresh. The location and proximity to the beach and town are awesome. It all went south when we got home and received a rude message from the property owner. At the time of booking I accidentally listed only two people would be staying in the property, this was an accident the trip was always a family vacation. We had no intention of being untruthful. In addition after receiving the message went back into VBRO to see if addition guest ls changed the price - we have paid her the difference if it did, it was an accident. The owner also didn’t like how we left the towels, there were no instructions so I left them in a pile. The whole exchange was disappointing as we would have stayed there again.

Awesome beach getaway in a fantastic location!

My husband, teenage children and I stayed at this property over the Christmas holiday, and we absolutely loved our time there! Victoria, the property owner, was wonderful to work with during our entire stay and even proactively communicated with us a week prior to our trip (as a winter storm was approaching that threatened to delay our travel). We were thrilled to arrive at this wonderful property. We loved the town of San Clemente with all of its delightful shops and great restaurants, which were easily accessed with a short walk from the property. We stayed in the upper level of the duplex and the ocean views from the large windows and deck were amazing! There is a path behind the property that connects to a short walk down the hill to the beach that we walked multiple times during our stay. The cute downtown main street, pier and beach are all just a short walk from this property! We loved walking along the beach path as well. My husband and son were thrilled to be able to surf at this break and at other good surf breaks close by. The unit was clean, so comfortable and just as pictured on the listing. We took day trips to the surrounding beach towns and loved how much there was to do so close to this area. This was truly one of our favorite family vacations and we would be thrilled to return another time!

Perfect views & listen to the waves

Wow this place is absolutely perfect. Views straight to the ocean and listen to the waves from the house. Private stairs down to the beach and right by the pier. Parking provided which is a blessing for downtown. If you’re reading this you’ve found the perfect place. We spent our honeymoon in paradise and can’t wait to be back! Pictures do not do this place justice.

Gorgeous view, perfect location!

We loved our stay here! The home is in the perfect location and has beautiful views! We were able to walk to the beach in about 5 minutes and downtown in less than 10. You definitely don't want to have to drive downtown because parking is hard to find. That makes this literally the PERFECT location! Victoria is very easy to work with and communication was great. We loved our time in this beautiful town!

Great spot!

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location. They even had beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use. Not fancy, but that's not what we wanted. Will definitely be back.
