Robin, I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit to Cooke City. As you noted, Cooke City has beautiful mountain views which I wholeheartedly agree with. I value my guest's feedback and when I can, implement their ideas and suggestions which I see as a way to increase the satisfaction of future guests. Cooke City is a remotely located mountain town and although many of our visitors here like that aspect, it is not for everyone. Your cabin area, the front looks exactly like the photo in my ad, patio, lounge chairs, manicured green grass, and flowerpots. The only aspect that varies is the length of the grass (which is mowed regularly). There are native shrubs that we allow to grow because we believe they enhance the surroundings, and they are good for the wildlife (large and small) that we share this beautiful place with. About the lodge (check-in area) I am not sure what you meant by the front looking like someone ran into it, a little more information would have been helpful, and the lodge may have seemed dark when walking in out of the sun. The lodge is a beautiful building that is over 100 years old, and many of my guests love to look around and take photographs. My front desk attendants are from Mongolia and speak English very well, but accents can sometimes be difficult. My ad contains complete descriptions and contains many photos so guests can decide if the cabin suits their needs before booking. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your clean comfortable cabin.
