At Albero Limone you can take to the Italian way of life in style by enjoying pre-dinner drinks on the terrace before dining in luxury under the rare pistachio trees with views across the gardens and swimming pool. Wonderful villa with a great pool and very helpful owners. You can relax during the hot hours in the garden or by the pool, and drive to Scicly, Ragusa or Modica in the evening to eat.

Relaxing week in Sicily

After spending our first week in Sicily hotel hopping on the East coast, we wanted somewhere to spend a relaxing week. We found it with Villa Albero Limone. A real home from home with a fantastic pool.

Perfect vacation with friends!

Thank you for one wonderful week in Sicily! We had the best time and the Villa was just perfect for us six. I never had such a great host as Ian. Special thanks to Jim and his wife, who showed us the Villa and the area! Such heartwarming people! Hope we will be back!

Zeer mooi huis met echt alle faciliteiten, prachtige tuin, zeer groot zwembad en bijzonder rustig en mooi gelegen. 10 min tijden van supermarkt en dorp (Chiaramonte Gulfi), auto wel noodzakelijk. De eigenaar is bijzonder communicatief en behulpzaam. Deel voor vakantie met gezin of vrienden, op een klein uurtje rijden van de mooiste baroksteden.

Een heerlijk verblijf, van alle gemakken voorzien

Deze vakantievilla met heerlijk groot zwembad is van alle gemakken voorzien. We hebben 10 dagen heerlijk kunnen uitrusten bij het zwembad en gebruik kunnen maken van binnen- en buitenkeuken en alle andere voorzieningen. het contact met de eigenaar verliep soepel en voor van alles werd gezorgd. We hopen zeker nog een keer terug te komen

Ein tolles Haus mit einem super Pool in ruhiger Lage, was braucht man mehr. Die Anfahrt war zwar etwas holprig und nicht jedes Navi findet die Adresse, aber wenn man mal dort ist, dann will man nicht mehr weg (Achtung: Für tiefergelegte Fahrzeuge ist die Zufahrt nicht machbar) Das Haus ist zwechmäßig ausgestattet, alles Notwendige ist vorhanden. Das Ambiente einfach zum Wohlfühlen und Relaxen. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist ein Traum, die beiden anderen fallen dagegen etwas ab. Das Highligt ist der Pool, der von uns intensiv genützt wurde. Ausreichend "Spielzeug" war auch vorhanden. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die unzuverlässige Internetanbindung (LTE), die immer wieder ausfiel. Aber man fährt ja nicht zum Websurfen nach Sizilien. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt.

Wat een geweldige locatie !!

What an incredibly beautiful Villa. We had a fantastic time there. The house is beautifully furnished and equipped with all comforts. The garden, pool and outdoor kitchen are just wonderful. The communication with our Host was very smooth and they are very helpful. We have had a wonderful time with us and can recommend this to everyone. Ronald& Miriam

Nice stay

we were welcomed by Jim who showed us around the villa. He drove with us to the supermarket because it is not so easy to explain if you don't know the roads. The house is on the country side : quiet but also very near to the SS514 with direction to Ragusa or Catania. Very well equiped with towels, pots and pans,...Maybe fridge and freezer can be replaced because it took a while before things get cold or froozen. Overall we had an excellent holiday ! Fam. Schöne Urlaubsvilla

Wir hatten super schöne Tage in der Villa. Die Villa befindet sich in ruhiger Lage in mitten von Olivenbäumen. Das selbst gepresste Olivenöl steht im Haus zum probieren, wirklich sehr lecker. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind direkt in der Nähe (10 min mit dem Auto) Die Villa ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Der Pool war hervorragend und wurde wunderschön angelegt. Unser Vermieter Ian war immer erreichbar und hat sich vorbildlich um uns gekümmert. Zusammengefasst waren es super schöne und entspannte Tage die wir dort verbringen konnten.

Incredibly relaxing

We had such a relaxing time at Villa Albero Limone. The property and grounds are beautiful and the villa has been furnished to a very high standard. Great contact from the owners who made sure we had everything we needed. A real luxury oasis nestled among the rolling farmland and vineyards of Southern Sicily!

Außerordentlich!!!

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft, die wir vorbehaltlos empfehlen können! Man wird nicht wie irgendwelche Feriengäste behandelt, sondern freundschaftlich aufgenommen und es wird einem jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Ian und Jenny, die Besitzer des Hauses sind unglaublich liebevoll und auch die Vor-Ort-Betreuung durch die Hausdame Sabina ist engagiert und sehr freundlich. Das Haus selbst ist perfekt, wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man hat im riesigen, gemütlichen Wohn-Koch-Essbereich mit herrlichem Kamin unglaublich viel Platz. Der Moment, in dem man den Garten-Poolbereich betritt, ist ein Wooow-Moment. Von der Küche tritt man auf die erste Terrasse mit Garten, auf der sich ein großer, gusseiserner Tisch unter einem Pistazienbaum befindet, auch eine Hollywood-Schaukel gibt es hier. Zur rechten Seite gibt es eine weitere hübsche Terrasse mit Blick auf den duftenden Zitronenbaum und auf der linken Seite befindet sich der riesige Pool mit 6 Liegen, stabilen Sonnenschirmen, Außenküche, Pizzaofen/Grill und weiteren Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Pool wird überragt von der traumhaft schönen Solitärpalme, die von blühenden Kapmargeriten umsäumt ist. Die Umgebung ist ländlich, im April saftig grün und von üppigen Blumenwiesen, Olivenbäumen und blühenden Obstbäumen umgeben. Zum hübschen Städtchen Chiramonte Gulfi mit Restaurants und Cafés sind es mit dem Auto 9 km. Wir haben interessante Ausflüge unternommen nach Ragusa, Modica, Marina Ragusa (Strand, etwa 30 Min), Syrakus, Taormina, Noto, zur beeindruckenden Villa Romana und zum Ätna. Sizilien ist ein unglaublich geschichtsträchtiger Ort mit viel Kultur, interessanten Ausgrabungsstätten und es gibt entzückende Barockstädtchen zu entdecken. Zwischendurch haben wir ganze Tage am herrlichen Pool verbracht. Insgesamt ein Traumurlaub, nochmals tausend Dank an Jenny und Ian.

Lovely villa

Great villa - well presented and in good condition throughout. The owner was incredibly helpful before and during our stay - nothing was too much trouble. The villa is in a great location and many historic sites, beaches and areas of geographic beauty are within an hour's drive. We hope to return. Thank you.

Sicilian luxury at its best--You must stay here

Wow!! What another fantastic holiday we have had again at the beautiful Albero Limone. From the second we arrived everything was just perfect due to the upmost care and attention Jenny and Ian offer. Giuseppe and his wife, who over see the property there, gave us the warmest of welcomes, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The villa is just perfect for our family holiday, if you are wanting peace and quiet then this is the place for you. This is the second time we've been to Albero Limone and it definitely won't be the last, we have decided to go back to the Villa for a third time, it feels like home away from home for us now- WE JUST LOVE IT. Thank you Ian, thank you Jenny.

A truly idilic getaway in rural Sicily

Well.........where to start........... What a truly amazing destination. From the moment of booking to the moment of departure Ian and Jenny are the perfect hosts. First class proactive communications with every detail and consideration taken care of. The villa is located in a remote rural location which is perfect if you are looking to truly get away and relax in a self contained 5" location. The villa , pool and entire grounds are a sanctuary of peace and relaxation and provide the perfect setting to unwind and relax. It is truly home from home. Beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. The outside area and pool is simply acceptional. Picking fresh Figs or Lemons from the ground is just a taste of what makes up the magic of Albero Limone. Guisseppe is the most amazing onsite support and provides that perfect balance of being present when you need him but invisible for every other aspect. Whilst it is rural and remote it is perfectly located to visit many target Sicily locations such as Regusa, Sircacusa & Modica. We had the most amazing two weeks and will most definitely returning again.

Sicilian perfection

After a very easy flight from Stansted I arrived at a springtime paradise at the Villa Albero Limone. It was even better than I'd even expecting with a wonderful approach to the villa through an olive grove bursting with wild flowers. The property was immaculate and my room had an extremely comfortable bed with French windows leading onto my own private patio. My companions had an even more impressive bedroom with, what must be the most luxurious bathroom ever! The owners, Ian andJenny, kept in touch with me throughout my journey and stay to make sure that everything was perfect. The surrounding garden was vast with many secluded areas and the most fabulous pool with an unusual pistachio tree nearby. It's best to have a car when you stay there so that it's possible to visit the beautiful Sicilian towns and coast, all of which are within easy reach. I would thoroughly recommend The Villa Albero Limone to anyone looking for a holiday that is more than perfect.

Fabulous villa ,with great pool. Ideal for relaxing holiday

Really lovely property 3 good sized bedrooms, outside BBQ and pizza oven, best thing was the pool, plenty of shade if required. Olive oil and local wine a bonus.

Our best family holiday ever

From the moment we arrived at the villa we knew we had chosen the right holiday. We loved how this beautiful villa was tucked away in such a peaceful and tranquil setting. As the villa is so clean, tidy and well equipped we didn't have to worry about anything. We spent most of the holiday having the best fun outside in the pool and chilling around the fabulous pool area, we even managed to tear our eldest daughter away from the wifi to join in the fun and the Sicilian weather did not disappoint. The kids loved it when we had a pizza night and they could make their own pizzas and cook them in the pizza oven outside (obviously dad won that competition). It was really hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning villa but we did make a few trips in to Chiramonte and the marina in Ragusa. We were so sad to leave the villa at the end of our holiday. It was definitely the best family holiday we have ever had and we will be most certainly be coming back. We firstly would like to say thank you to Giuseppe who was so helpful and tended to the beautiful gardens and of course Ian and Jenny, for the help you gave us even before the holiday began, then when we arrived checking in on us and making sure everything was just perfect for us and finally for letting us stay at your beautiful, stunning and well loved and looked after home. Look no further you have come across the most beautiful villa set in a wonderfully quiet area, with a good size well kept pool. The perfect place to relax and enjoy what can only be described as better than home from home, every conceivable item is on hand and at the end of the phone Ian always willing to help and advise with anything at all, no matter how trivial it may seem. We were on a family holiday and it was the best ever!! Hopefully will be able to return sometime in the future. We are so grateful to Ian and Jenny allowing us to use there home.

Fantastic holiday

Beautiful house with wonderful outdoor space. Right from the very first communication with Ian things went very smoothly, stress-free booking, Ian was very helpful with info about the Villa and how to get there etc. And once you get there you will never want to leave again! We immediately felt at home, house is beautiful but homely at the same time. The outdoor space is the star of the show, the pool is a good size and spotlessly clean. The areas surrounding the pool are well thought out with shaded areas and many sitting areas. We loved having breakfast just outside the kitchen in the mornings. For the more adventurous there is a wood oven in which one can make pizzas and roasts/BBQ (we used this several times). Kitchen is fully equipped and if you like to cook you will find everything you need to cook and more. Ian was kind enough to provide us with some beautiful olive oil and wine from his own trees. If you can pull yourself away from the house the panoramic village of Chiaramonte is a short 10 min drive away and several baroque towns in the area which should not be missed. For families with children 7+ would also highly recommend an adventure park in Buccheri (about 30-40 min drive away) called Parcallario. Last but not least special mention goes to the wonderful and genuinely kind Giuseppe who takes care of the house and treated us like family . If you are still thinking about it do not hesitate, you will definitely not regret it.

Homes and Gardens Italian style

Ian was so helpful from the time of our original booking until the time we left, including helping us find our way back to the villa when we got hopelessly lost on the first day. The villa is so tastefully furnished, the grounds and pool so well thought out with every amenity from sun traps to shade, from outdoor kitchen to indoor kitchen, supplied with all you will need , including excellent WiFi, if you really must. As previous reviewers have suggested, do try the recommended restaurants. Our favorite was U Dammusu in Chiaromonte, just off the main square. The "Stinco" is just so badly named, it is beautiful. Enzo, the manager is a delight. To help every thing along is the wonderful Giuseppe who is on hand when you need him. He might even let you see the vinyard and taste the wonderful grapes. Just go, you'll love it!

A holiday with a big grin!

Ian and Jenny not only have a wonderful home but they determined to help you get the best out of it and the surrounding area without being intrusive. In 25 years of staying in villas, the kitchen was the best stocked we've seen and the villa has everything you will need. Roomy, light, shady where necessary- just splendid. And do go to the restaurants they recommend - especially the local one where you have to cross back over the main road. And have the Red Snapper. I insist!

Fantastic Villa

As a family we have stayed at some spectacular properties in Europe and this year we persuaded by Friends to try Sicily and more particular to stay at The Villa Albero Limone, without doubt this was a great decision. You will read many other comments from other guests so I won't repeat other than to say they are all correct.However perhaps the best description of Albero Limone is that it is Ian and Jenny's home rather than just another Holiday let. You will find it extremely well stocked with all the essentials as well as a fine selection of pots and pans and most importantly wine and beer glasses! Ian and Jennys attention to detail extends past just the villa to a phone call to make sure all is as expected and a quick call on the day we were leaving Stanstead to make sure we were aware of the private lounge (we were!). Everything went like clockwork including meeting the great Giuseppe at the villa with his IPhone and google translator to make sure we settled in . Our only regret is that we booked for one week only but we will certainly return for longer.If you look at the photographs they will give you a good idea of how fabulous the villa is but when you arrive it is even better.
