The Gite Broqueries is an old farmhouse built in the seventeenth century at the edge of the river Dordogne at 9 miles from Bergerac in the direction of Sarlat and Les Eyzies

The house for two persons consists of 2 bedrooms (2 king size beds) , bathroom (shower ) , large living room (TV room) and a kitchen. private terrace and garden.

Bed linen and towels provided, internet wifi, final cleaning are included in the price.

For the continental breakfast all the necessary is in the cottage on your arrival and every morning at 8:30 bread and croissants are delivered in front of the house.

The guesthouse is independent of the owners house, owners living in another house on the property and it 's the only one accommodation in this property.

The river Dordogne flows at the foot of property, the place is very quiet and green.

Very pretty cottage in lovely garden.

Enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Well equipped for everyday needs. Bed a little on the firm side and a mosquito repellent would have been useful. Nice area with some interesting places to visit.

Alles entsprach der Beschreibung. Wir haben den Schwimmteich genossen und uns wurde bei allen Fragen nett geholfen. Tolle Lage, um de Gegend zu erkunden.

Perfekter Ort zum Ausspannen

Das Haus liegt direkt an der Dordogne in einem wunderbaren Garten. Es ist geräumigund es gibt zwei Sitzplätze. einer hinter dem Haus und einer am Teich. In dem könnte man auch baden. Aber als wir dort waren, war es noch zu kalt. Wunderbar ist auch die Umgebung. Ein Bäcker gibt es etwa 300 m. entfernt über die Brücke und in Lalinde gibt es einen schönen Markt und einen Intermarché. Wir hatten Fahrräder dabe und man kann gut nach Lalinde mit dem Rad fahren am Kanal entlang. Ansonsten ist der Markt in Issigeac wirklich zu empfehlen (Sonntags). Ein guter Ort zum Ausspannen.

Belles vacances

C'est vraiment agréable de rentrer dans cette belle maison typique et chaleureuse avec une décoration choisie avec goût et un excellent confort. La maison est très calme ce qui est très appréciable pour passer de bon séjour. L'environnement vraiment charmant. Nos hôtes ont été très sympathiques, très discrets mais toujours là pour nous renseigner sur un site à visiter où pour une randonnée. Merci encore

Une bien belle maison de vacances

Niché au fond d’une allée privée le gîte vous accueille entouré d’un grand jardin avec arbres, fleurs, potager et poulailler… A l’intérieur l’authenticité du bâtiment a été très bien mise en valeur : murs en pierres, cheminées, poutres, bar ancien …. Mais tous les équipements de confort sont neufs assurant un séjour très agréable. Une mention particulière pour le lit de très grande taille, repos assuré durant le séjour ! et le coin terrasse intime devant la surprenante piscine intégrée au jardin. Un excellent séjour à consommer sans modération !

Beau séjour en Périgord

Nous avons passé une semaine très relaxante dans la maison "Saint- Martin". La maison a un aménagement très confortable et de bon goût. Pour ceux qui cherchent la paix et de détente, c’est l'endroit où aller parfaitement. C’est très bien équipé avec une cuisine grande et complète, un large salon, une belle chambre avec salle de bains complète et des toilettes séparées. La maison est isolée de la route, très calme pour se reposer vraiment et on peut profiter du parc. Nous voulions visiter beaucoup de sites en Périgord mais la maison est si agréable que nous sommes souvent restés sur place.

Clean and spacious holiday house

Exactly what we were hoping for a perfectly situated and comfortable place for us too relax. Located amongst wonderfully peaceful countryside but within striking distance of gems such as Monpazier, Issigeac, Biron, Monbazillac… our stay here was just perfect. Go looking for interesting places amongst beautiful countryside or retreat to your comfortable residence.

Fantastic holiday house,

The house, pool and gardens are just lovely, and the secluded setting is beautiful and very peaceful. The kitchen is a lot bigger than it appears in the photos, well equipped to prepare French local products There's lots to see and do in the area, and Bergerac (the closest main town, about a 15 min drive away) is a lovely place to explore. We had lunch 3 times in the Bistrot “Les Maroniers” - food is fantastic, reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly. A great holiday, and the gite Saint Martin really is as gorgeous as it looks in the photos.

Un gite magnifique et accueillant !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette région et avons été particulièrement bien accueilli par les propriétaires du gite qui ont pris le temps de nous expliquer les lieux incontournables de leur région. La maison est très propre, très agréable à vivre et particulièrement bien équipée, excellente literie avec lit double extra large ! Nous ne nous attendions pas à tant de confort. Je recommande vivement cette location et cette région .

Charme, nature, histoire

Superbe gîte; meublé avec énormément de goût. Parfaitement équipé, impeccablement propre, on s'y sent vraiment bien. Quant au jardin et à la propriété dans son ensemble c'est tout simplement le paradis ! Tout est prévu pour la détente, pour le plaisir des yeux. Je recommande sans retenue pour les amoureux de calme, de nature et d'histoire. Dans un rayon très court autour du gîte, des dizaines de villages médiévaux et bastides tous plus beaux les uns que les autres impossible de s'ennuyer en Périgord

Nous avons bien profité de la maison propice au repos sur la terrasse au bord du jardin. Chambre très confortable, séjour-cuisine original. Le gîte est situé dans un environnement vraiment agréable: grand jardin, rivière qui coule au pied de la maison, calme. Le lieu idéal pour notre semaine de vacances en amoureux

Maison au milieu de la verdure

Maison très vaste pour deux vacanciers, le confort est au rendez-vous avec tout le charme d’une maison ancienne parfaitement restaurée. L’endroit est très calme au bout d’une allée privée. Nous avons bien profité du beau jardin, des restaurants aux alentours et des sites touristiques du Périgord Pourpre. Literie extra large et très confortable. Petite surprise: il y a une magnifique piscine naturelle juste devant la chambre.

A Dordogne Dream - A Gite' along the banks

If you dislike superlatives, you should probably not read this review. This property exceeded our expectations exponentially. The photographs of the property - beautiful as they are - do not actually do the property justice. The gite is of old (1700s?) style construction with thick (3-4 feet) stone walls. Yet, the interior has been fastidiously refurbished to meet 21st century norms. The thick stone walls keep in the coolness so that the gite is confortably cool even in warm temperatures. The bed is a platform bed that we found to be decidedly comfortable and was enhanced by a bolster containing lavender. The entire interior is eclectic in typical French farmhouse style. The bath had a wonderful shower and also a full length tub. The toilet chamber was separate to allow greatly flexibility of use. The kitchen was well supplied and functional and we used it every night as we dined al fresco each night on the deck off of the bedroom. The grounds are enchanting with fruit trees, flowering plants and vegetables abundantly surrounding the gite. While we didn't indulge in the pond for swimming (this is definitely allowed), it was a beautiful backdrop for our dinners and afternoons and evenings drinking wine and beer outdoors. The Dordogne river is the back yard. A mere 20 to 30 meters from the gite, you can make you way to the banks of the peacefully flowing river and take in wonderful sunsets over the nearby bridge. (A word about the bridge - we arrived late at night - almost midnight. When we crossed the Dordogne canal and came upon the entrance to the bridge across the river, we thought for sure that the structure was pedestrian only. These were American sensibilities - the bridge accommodates one way traffic for vehicles not wider than 2 meters. Be forewarned!) The owners were very delightful and accommodating. Although they and their family live on the property, we never lost our sense of privacy. The Dordogne region - in general - was stunningly beautiful, although the roads lack any American sense of order or width. Enjoy the Chateaus and castles and town markets. We strongly suggest a visit to Grotto de Font de Gaume for the pre-historic cave drawings - definitely an awe inspiring life moment.

excellent We really enjoyed this wonderful cottage. The house is very well kept by the owners who live close by. It's charm is from the 17th century but its amenities are from the 21st. The location is very convenient relative to many of the picturesque villages (“plus beaux villages de France”) such as Monpazier, Issigeac, Belvès, Bergerac…. Strongly recommended

charming cottage

The property is exactly as described. The garden surrounding the house is amazing. Our host was very accomodating and delivered fresh croissants and bread daily during our 11 days stay. The refrigerator was well stocked with jams, milk and coffee. We can only recommend this haven in a great location.

Un magnifique endroit pour ceux qui souhaitent passer un moment de détente et de bien-être. Une magnifique maison, un jardin splendide, une piscine naturelle, la Dordogne au pied de la maison. Tout ce dont nous rêvions. Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil chaleureux et les croissants 😉. Une adresse que nous pouvons que recommander si vous souhaitez passer un moment de calme dans cette très belle région. 🌞👙🌳🐸

Le petit déjeuner le matin sur la terrasse était exquis et nous pouvions apprécier la très belle vue sur le jardin et la piscine naturelle très originale. excellent séjour en Périgord

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants. Ils savent se montrer discrets tout en étant disponibles. Très belle maison traditionnelle située dans un endroit calme et agréable. Le gîte est d'une propreté irréprochable, aménagé avec goût et bien équipé. La literie est plus que confortable. Nous avions réservé la formule « avec petit déjeuner » ,à disposition dans le gîte; la formule est originale et un peu impersonnelle au premier abord pour un Bed and Breakfast mais permet en fait une grande liberté d’horaire très appréciée en vacances. Expérience à renouveler sans hésiter.
