This chateau built in 1571, a 1000m2 area, enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of Southern Burgundy. The medieval city of "Romenay" is only 3 minutes away and offers all amenities.
Tournus, the capital of gastronomy in Burgundy with its Michelin starred restaurants 4 is only 15 minutes.With a privileged location in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by fields and small lakes.
The place is ideal for jogging, walking and cycling from the Castle.
The castle has 10 luxurious rooms and 10 bathrooms as well as a child's room.
The huge well equipped kitchen overlooks the pool deck and promoting conviviality.
The dependence offers a complete wellness area with gym (weight training and cardio) sauna and steam room and a massage room (a local masseuse offers its services locally).

The Castle is located in the heart of a beautiful 7-hectare park with its centuries old trees, pond for fishing and heated pool.
A large courtyard allows ten vehicles to park.
The Chateau enjoys great privacy without any opposite.

The living rooms of the ground floor have beautifully decorated french style ceilings.
All rooms have retained the noble materials of the 16th century and later, wooden floors, French ceilings, fireplaces, original doors windows ...
Nearly a year of work was needed to bring all the comforts of today.
The rooms are very seperated and isolated from each other allowing greater privacy.
The decoration and furnishings have been chosen with great care, a true marriage of excellence between tradition and modernity.

It offers an amazing range of leisure activities.

The Château has 10 bedrooms and a baby + child bedroom.
7 bedrooms have a 180x200cm bed, and 3 bedrooms have 2 twin beds (90x200cm).
The twin beds can be put together to make a 180x200 bed on request.
4 bedrooms are on the first floor and the child's room.
4 bedrooms are on the second floor and 2 rooms on the 3rd floor.
3 rooms are equipped with HD TV and Blu-ray DVD player.
All rooms have en-suite private bathroom.
Beds are made upon arrival.
Three cots are available in the castle and a child's bed (190x80cm).

The Baby + child room on the 1st floor comprises:
- A child bed 80x190cm.
- A traditional cot (wooden bars) of good quality.
- A wardrobe.
- A TV with DVD player.
- A private bathroom child / baby in the tower with baby bath, changing area and small sink.

Bathrooms
The 10 bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom. Tastefully renovated for your comfort, each bathroom consists of a toilet, a washbasin and either a shower or bath (9 bedroom with walk-in shower and 1 bedroom with bath).
Bathroom towels are provided on arrival (2 XL size and 2 L size per bathroom)

Peaceful nights
The castle is away from main roads and any noise. Moreover, the rooms are far from each other and separated by halls and corridors, which preserves the privacy of each.

At the Fireside...
The dining room has an open fireplace from the 16th century which you can use in the autumn and winter period. The wood is provided to you free of charge.
The poker room and living room are equipped with an electric burning fireplace insert allowing you to enjoy moments of conviviality by the fire, without having to transport the logs!

The large living room
The large living room is located on the 1st floor. It is very bright, with a huge high ceilings and large windows overlooking the park, featuring a balcony. The ceilings in stucco, woodwork, the huge fireplace and its mirror as well as the antique oak floors bring a touch of authenticity. The living room is equipped with a large HD screen with Astra Sat channels as well as a Blu-ray DVD player. A large DVD library of over 200 Dvds is at your disposal. A library with many books is also available.

The ground floor intimate lounges
Two richly decorated lounge rooms (French painted ceilings, oak floors, moldings and fireplaces) are located on the ground floor. One offers a pool table, the other a professional table of poker (and chips) and a chess table.

The dining room
The table is ready to accommodate up to 20 guests. As for the living room, large windows overlooking the park provide plenty of light, they highlight the superb French-style painted ceiling dating from the 16th century, woodwork and oak parquet.
A vast assortment of crockery and cutlery, tastefully selected by the care of Sylvia, is available in the lounge dresser.
A breakfast area offers: traditional coffee maker, Senseo, Nespresso coffee machines and electric kettle.


The kitchen
The huge kitchen with its fireplace, its French ceiling and natural stone floor, opens directly onto the pool terrace and garden.
It is fully equipped: Large professional cooker with 5 fires gas hob and large electric oven, 2nd oven, 2 microwave ovens, 2 dishwashers, two large refrigerators, freezer, icemaker, toaster.
A second breakfast area is available in the kitchen: traditional coffee maker, Senseo, Nespresso coffee machines and electric kettle.
A large granite table in the center of the room, with a few stools, offers plenty of space for cooking, lunch ...
Full equipment kitchen utensils and accessories is available, as well as tea towels.
Dishwasher cleaning products are also provided.
3 baby chairs are available.

Laundry room.
A laundry room is available with wash machine and dryer. There is also an iron and board. Washing liquid for the wash machine is provided.

We have made every effort to bring you a lot of fun and keep all ages busy in all seasons.

The swimming pool
It is about 5mx11m. The pool is heated *. It is open from April 1 to October 31 (exact dates depend on meteo). The depth starts with a range of one meter down to about 1.60m. The pool is equipped with an automated shutter ensuring the safety of children.Sunbeds are available for your sunny afternoons, and outdoor 20 people lounge for lunches and dinners at the waterside.(* The pool heating system is an aerothermal heat pump. The pump uses calories from the air to heat the water circulating so we cannot guarantee a water temperature if the air temperature is below 15 °.)


Wellness
A part of the castle outbuildings is completely dedicated to the wellness and fitness. The sports room is equipped with the following devices: Two bikes, an elliptical trainer, rowing machine, body building multiactivities tower, various weights and dumbbells, mats.
Sauna and steamroom are available.
A blutooth sound system is available to enable you play your workout music.
A bathroom with shower is available.
On the 1st floor you find an equipped massage room.

Billiard lounge
The billard lounge, located on the groundfloor, is richly decorated with its painted ceiling of the 16th century.

Poker & Chess lounge
The poker lounge, located on the groundfloor, is richly decorated with its painted ceiling of the 16th century. A professionnal Poker table (and chips), as well as a Ches table are available.

Games room
A large room (60m2) games on the 2nd floor of the Castle offers a variety of activities: Ping-pong, darts, table-football, Pétanque table, Play Station 3 and 20 games, drawing table and table games for kids.


Board games
A set of board games, in French, is available in the playroom: Scrabble, Monopoly, chess, checkers, card games, puzzles, etc ...

Television
The castle has 6 TV screens and 6 Blu-ray DVD players:
- A large high definition screen in the living room, with blu-ray DVD player and SAT receiver Astra.
- A high definition screen in 3 rooms equipped with a Blu-ray DVD player.
- High-definition screen, equipped with a Play Station 3 with its Blu-ray DVD player in the game room.
- A small TV with DVD player in the baby / child room (cartoons available).


The Internet
You can connect your laptop to the internet by the free WiFi network available throughout the Castle.


Giant trampoline
A giant trampoline is located near the pool.

Bicycles
4 all road bikes and two child seats are available free of charge for excursions. It is possible to rent more bikes. Please consult the section of our website dedicated to bikes rental.

Pétanque
16 pétanque balls are available. A petanque lane is arranged near the Castle.

Table tennis
2 ping-pong tables are available (rackets and balls are available too), one outside and one inside.

Private fishing pond
A fishing pond is located inside the Château Parc. It covers an area of ​​approximately 1 hectare (2.3 acres). You can fish carp, pike, and all kinds of pond fishes. 2 fishing rods are available for free (excluding accessories), lines and accessories are sold in local stores (eg supermarket in Romenay).

Tennis
There is a tennis court in the town of Romenay, 3kms from the Castle. Rackets and balls are available at the Chateau.

Children's playground
A children's playground, toddlers, with slide and swings, is located near the pool.

Barbecue
A traditional barbecue is available poolside.
