In Carro, there is no tumult from the major seaside resorts! But rather the calm and simplicity of a fishing village that will delight nature lovers. The charm of a small but still active fishing port, lulled by the accents of the south and the song of the cicadas. Its fish market, very popular in the region, is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.

On the Beach side: about 300 m (10 min on foot) the Calanque de Carro. Small but calm with crystal clear waters (showers and first aid station), 300 m from the wild beach with waves (kite surf spot) and about 2 km from the large Verdon Beach at the entrance to the village which is the largest all over the Blue Coast with restaurants, ice cream parlors, showers and pedalos. Paid access parking during the summer, also accessible to people with reduced mobility (ready during the summer for amphibious tiralos, seahorses, etc.).

A51 motorway to the junction for Fos-Martigues. Then take the A55 motorway, exit Fos-Martigues, Montpellier then towards Martigues. (45 km). Carry le Rouet exit and direction Sausset-les-Pins, then Carro.

Access from MARSEILLE
A55 motorway towards Fos Martigues. (37 Km) Exit Carry le Rouet and direction Sausset-les-Pins, then Carro.

Access from ARLES / NIMES
Take the N113 to exit 9 Fos sur Mer, then N568 to Port de Bouc, finally A55 for 5 km to Martigues. (53 km from Arles). Follow Lavera then Carro.

Access from SALON / ISTRES
From Salon, take the D16 to Istres and from there take the D5 to Martigues. (34 km) then Carro.
