The Perfect Get Away - All Who Wander Are Not Lost!

Welcome! This adorable Guest House for 2 adults is set up for short term and extended stays! It has a room with a King size memory foam bed, large bathroom and kitchen amenities. Private entrance with a covered deck for reading, drinking coffee, having a cocktail, or playing on your laptop. There is a small as fully stocked kitchenette, with a fridge & freezer, microwave, 10-1 mini oven, a hot plate, and a new KEURIG. A small carpeted sitting area, with two chairs, & 2 TV trays, that's great for reading, resting, or if you must, answering emails. Room is set up for a max of 1-2 adult individuals looking for a relaxing get away, visiting friends nearby, or a short business trip. An added bonus is the direct lake access into the channel right outside your door. Take advantage of our amenities: paddle boat, 2 kayaks and aluminum boat rental with oars for $25 a day. This property is located on a private road with little traffic, and you can run, walk or just enjoy the scenic views from the deck too. No parties, tents/campers, or charcoal grills of ANY kind allowed. A final note: this property is for 2 adults only, no kids are allowed at any time. This property is adjacent to another home, therefore the Max is 2 guests and we prefer that no additional visitors/guests come. If there is a special circumstance, we would be open to discussing this but it would need to be approved by the owners. Welcome to LAKE living!
Not a lake person? OR traveling during the off season? No problem! We have several bonus hot spots nearby: the quaint town of Hastings (15 mins away), the Gilmore Car Museum (20 mins away), Mooville (25 mins), Glass Creek Winery (15 mins), Gun Lake and Firekeeper Casinos, restaurants, shopping, and more!
Great location in the middle of the Midwest - close to Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Battle Creek, Michigan. Just a short short distance from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and more! So if you're planning a vacation, family get together, girls/guys weekend, or a romantic get away - we have something for everyone! Message us about the property and we can answer any questions you have before you book!!

*This is an adults only property; there are no steps outside or leading up to this property; we recommend for individuals who cannot do stairs however doors are not wide enough for wheel chairs;
**All bookings are 2 day minimum, checking in after 4pm and out before 11am. We DO have a cleaning fee of $40 required at the time of booking for this property.
***We are firm with our capacity. This property is year round - with heat and AC! There are children (specifically our son) around the neighborhood, therefore if you are a smoker/420 please Do NOT do it around them, and definitely not inside the property🙂Thank you!

Perfect Cozy Getaway!!!!

Perfect getaway cottage to just relax or head into Hastings and have some great food or check out the local shops. Holly made sure we had all the info needed for our stay!! Can't wait to stay here again!

BEAUTIFUL LITTLE CABIN

My parents joined us for a couple nights at the lake and stayed here. It was perfect for them and what a beautiful little cabin on a beautiful lake!

Lakeside Retreat

This was the perfect little lakeside cottage for my stay. It is just the right size for two adults. The host are very responsive and have thought of almost everything. The morning views are second to none and the location was very convenient.

Long Lake Summer Celebration Weekend.

Exactly what I was hoping for!

I wanted a spot to relax, read a book and enjoy the water. This was perfect. I left happy and relaxed. It had everything I needed and matched the listing. The bed was super comfortable. I will absolutely recommend this to friends!

Wedding Weekend

This was the PERFECT location to stay while we were in town for a wedding. The view from the cottage was heavenly. It’s was the coziest, sweetest little nook. Holly was fantastic to work with - we communicated on various things throughout the weekend. She was attentive and very good at answering all our questions. Leaving was difficult…we wanted to stay forever! Will absolutely be back!!!

Adorable! Highly Recommend!

My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend away and this place was exactly what we were looking for. It was small, yet quaint, and provided us with everything we needed. The owner was an excellent communicator and made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. The place was clean and comfy. I would strongly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Maybe next time, we'll try one of her other houses that are nearby. Thank you Holly!

We really liked little guesthouse, was perfect for the two of us. Could already see pretty fall scenery. The firepit outside, right by the lake, was very welcomed by us - spent both nights sitting by it - weather was perfect, have not seen so many stars in a while - got lucky there. Guesthouse doesn't have stove but we used the outside grill, brought our own tea kettle and little iron cast pan so worked fine for us. Inside was clean and comfy. Nice bedding and décor. Close drive to Grand Rapids if you are looking to mix city scene with the lake rest. Enjoy!

Lack of privacy

The cottage was neat and well cared for but if you want to see the lake at all from inside, you'll be giving up any privacy that you think you had from the house right in front of you. Also, the back half of the converted cottage is still a garage. Be prepared to be woken up from the owners opening the garage door at their leisure.

Cute little escape cabin

This was a wonderful little cabin on a little lake channel. It is for one or two people. It is in a quiet neighborhood with low light pollution from Kalamazoo so we could see the meteor shower at night. There was a small fire pit with wood. The neighbors were pretty friendly also. I saw about a fifty fish hanging out in the channel. The lake was really quiet when we stayed on Friday and Saturday night. The black cat is friendly and came to visit us twice. It is about 10 mins from down town Delton. I suggest Hero’s Restaurant and the Delton VFW. The Cabins Host was very friendly and caring about our stay there. We would rent again and be very happy with it.

Beautiful respite from the city

We decided to treat ourselves to some quiet lakeside time in Michigan and found this sweet cottage. Clean, bright, with a fabulous covered porch where we spent our mornings, late afternoons, and evenings, catching up with each other, reading and watching the lakeside world go by. We kayaked and discovered serene biking paths and hiking trails within easy driving distance. Birdsong, the bright (& timeless) sounds of children playing on the lake beaches, soft breezes through mature trees, fireflies and just so many stars! Was exactly what we needed in our escape from downtown Chicago. Bed was heavenly and we had everything we needed in the cottage kitchen. Only caveat is that this tiny home is truly a guest house in the backyard of a very close home - so feels less private than we had wanted. There is a lakeview but it’s in the distance obstructed slightly by the main house house’s short chained link fence. None of these things took away from the relaxing long weekend and lightness we felt the entire time we were there, but still it was a slight disappointment. Thank you Holly for your graciousness and care and for sharing this sweet cottage with us.

So happy I chose to stay here!

Thank you to our hosts Holly and Dan for a perfect little getaway! Soaked up the last few days of summer... just me and my husband on Long Lake in this cozy little cottage! Everything was immaculately clean and the location was awesome. Spent the whole day on the lake just soaking up the sun on the paddle boat and kayaks. Tried out Tujax a bar and grill about 7 minutes away. Awesome food we went back again! Everyone so kind! The little guest house had everything we needed! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Relaxing

We had such a relaxing enjoyable visit! Super cute with everything you could possibly need for a trip away from home. The kayaks that came with the rental was such an added bonus we had a great day enjoying the lake and the cute little beach neighbors and neighborhood was great overall we had a great experience definitely plan on visiting again .We went to Bowens family diner for breakfast and it was amazing
