This homey Gulf Shores condo is exactly what you're looking for, with entertainment options such as a flatscreen cable TV, shared tennis courts, shared pools, hot tubs, and much more! It also has an outdoor patio and a private washer/dryer. This condo is also equipped with two youth bunk beds, perfect for children.

This condo is a short walk from the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as the indoor hot tubs, sauna, and fitness room at Plantation Dunes. Within a short drive, you will find the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, Gulf State Park, historic Fort Morgan, and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

THINGS TO KNOW
Guests will have access to six outdoor pools & two outdoor hot tubs on the Gulf Shores Plantation grounds plus one indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna in the Dome Area of Bldg 4.
This property is managed by Vacasa Alabama LLC.
The parking fee for this vacation rental is $35. Instructions for purchasing the required parking pass will be included in your confirmation email.
If you do not have your registration forms to present at check in, you will need to contact the Gulf Shores Office to pick them up. The guard shack cannot provide them for you.
Only valid service animals will be allowed that are registered/checked-in with security at arrival, but if a service animal is causing an issue such as barking (other than a medical emergency), not on leash and properly controlled, seen as aggressive or approaching others, or defecating in any way in the common grounds areas, they will be evicted.
The Palms building hot tub opens September 16 - May 14 and will be closed May 15 - September 15.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 1.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Not great

Cleanliness was an issue upon arrival. Vents were filthy, stove had all kinds of old, food on racks, and some dishes were not clean. TV in bedroom only got 4 channels. Amenities were ok.

Spring break 2023

My granddaughter is the one who enjoyed swimming this break and I cleaned up dishes that was dirty so I could cook why are we charged so high a cleaning fee I had to whip up table, counters, pots, glasses, cups, silverware. We had a good break other than the above. Room was 1 bedroom 2 bunk beds and a couch that made out to a queen size bed that was big enough for us . Plenty of bath towels and wash cloths no pot holders only 1 dish towel so bring your own.

GREAT Stay!!

Location, location, location!! This beachfront condo is in the center of the action at Plantation Palms. There are a few MINOR flaws (a broken dresser drawer, laundry door out of track, fridge light out), but nothing that inconvenienced us or made a negative impact on our stay. Our 10 year old has cerebral palsy, and the flat layout on the ground floor was perfect for us. I think anyone in a full-size wheelchair might struggle to get through the hallway and doors, but it's not listed as an "accessible" condo. The on-site maintenance crew is out all day taking care of the grounds, and they were all super-friendly. We plan to TRY to stay in this condo again in the future. We had such a great time!

Not as advertised

The property listed several amenities that were not available. There were indoor hot tubs and saunas that were not available due to some buildings being condemned or under construction. The outdoor hot tubs seemed to not actually be heating. None of this was disclosed in the listing. The unit itself was pretty much as described with the exception of broken items (microwave and barstool) and uncomfortable mattresses on the bunks and sleeper sofa.

Just okay

This unit desperately needs some updates. Broken blinds, broken curtain rod (had to hang blanket for privacy), broken lamps, no light bulbs in some of the lights, broken drawers in furniture, needs new furniture in living room/dining area. Bed linens were clean but were not comfortable. Ice machine in freezer didn’t work. The convenience of the first floor unit was nice, but the furniture on the patio was literally falling apart. Pool area was clean and was convenient to the unit. Walk to the beach was easy. Unit in general needs many upgrades. Not worth the price.

Maintenance issues in this unit

There were multiple issues with this unit, the worst of which is that my entrance code stopped working the first night when I just walked to the beach for sunset leaving my phone and car keys in the unit, just bringing my paper with the unit number and the code which had worked fine at check in. 9pm at night and I am locked out and there is no office on site to help. Even the security booth person said they cannot help with lockouts for that particular building. He let me use his cell phone to call the Vacasa help line and I was on hold for 20 minutes before someone answered and gave me a new code. Moral of the story: don’t leave this unit without taking your cell and the Vacasa number to call for help. Then when I got into the unit, the dehumidifier attached to the air conditioner started loudly clicking constantly. I called Vacasa again and they said they would send someone. No-one came and I went to bed. The clicking stopped then started up again several times during the night. This went on for three days until finally on Sunday someone came and unplugged it because it would take a plumber and an HVAC repair person to work on this part of the unit the Vacasa service people could not fix. So the air in the unit was sticky the rest of the week despite having the AC running. When they opened the access door it was obvious that the air filter was overdue for replacement. Meanwhile I spent three days babysitting this unit and meeting repair people who tried various things. I asked for at least a partial refund but none has been forthcoming. There were also general cleanliness issues in this unit and the bathroom needed Re caulking. Fresh coat of paint on the walls but the bathroom was lacking. Pick another unit!!! The complex itself is beautiful and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The boardwalks are wonderful and the beach is lovely. Too bad this one unit was such a drag.

Great for small group

We enjoyed staying here. It’s on the ground floor which made it nice for going out to the beach or other things. They had sand toys, a couple of umbrellas and one beach chair which was great. But we could’ve used another beach chair or two. Things we needed but weren’t supplied: an iron (they did have an ironing board), a broom to sweep up the sandy messes, a roll of trash bags (only had one so we made due with Walmart sacks), and bathroom spray. Lol. The bedroom comforter had a couple of spots on it. Not sure what they were. Overall, it was great! Just bring condiments if you plan to cook. They did provide a couple of dishwasher tabs and a package of laundry detergent. It was quiet at night. Beach is beautiful! Oh, the washcloths felt like sandpaper so bring your own if you can. 😀

Infested

After getting the door open (code sent did not work) I immediately noticed mosquitoes in the unit. We killed as many as we could (only inside no issues outside) and the unit next door complained of the same problem. We stayed only 2 nights and my child was eaten up, it looks like he had the chicken pox. I'm from MS and deal with mosquitoes daily, this was an infestation of the plumbing or something inside. This was not natural and should have been prevented. When your child is injured by negligence, it cuts deep and will never be forgotten. VRBO VACASSA both lost my trust this vacation. Negligence at it's finest, I'm sure this will be lost and the next poor family will have the same problem.

First floor was fabulous

We had a wonderful trip staying here. Having a ground level unit was amazing since we have small children. The unit was fairly clean. If this unit had a few updates like the Master bedroom mattress and some better kitchen accessories for cooking it would have been perfect. The twin beds in the hallway were very large. A tall person could sleep in them very comfortably. The pools and hot tubs were very nice and the grounds were kept up very beautifully. Our kids saw dolphins, so many fish, and stingrays on our stay. They declared it the best vacation ever. I would rent this unit again.

Several issues & lack of timely customer service

If you need anything don’t depend on them to come fix any issues in a timely manner. Upon arrival, I still had not received an email for directions on how to enter the property. I went through the guard shack with my reservation number, then thought I had to physically find an office on site to check in? No! After looking all over the property and asking other passerby’s, I was told there is no office. So off I go to call customer service the first time (time lost; over an hour past check in) she quickly sent the arrival info. Then, I went to check everything out in the unit, there were some cleaning issues, so I covered the stained living furniture with sheets so we could sit on them, there was also unknown spots that looked like bug splatters in the bathroom along with hairs hanging from the mirror, toilet and long hairs hanging from the microwave, which sits above the stove. Yuck! This made me worried that there was also contamination everywhere else. Luckily, I had Lysol wipes, to wipe the counters, knobs, toilet, sinks, tables & dirty light switches down. After all this, we thought we’d go to the indoor pool since it was dark, by that time. However, there was no amenities pass in our unit to enter them! We waited until 2:30pm the next day (our only full day we had; Friday to Sunday stay). Mind you, check in is at 4pm and check out is 10am. After contacting customer service THREE more times, from Friday night until Saturday afternoon, we finally received the amenities pass to enter the indoor pool where less people was if you’re still practicing social distancing due to Covid like we are. The indoor pool was very nice- we had it all to ourselves. Then we found out that the indoor hot tubs was closed for repairs in the other building. Bummer! So, we waited for the outdoor hot tub to be sufficient for social distancing from everyone, which was Sunday morning before we left. By that time, the jets would not even turn on. I was really looking forward to that, since we had another 9-10hr drive ahead of us. I will say the bed was good as fair as far as comfort goes & clean looking. I did take the pillows with shams and comforter off the bed, because who knows how long it’s been since it’s been cleaned after seeing the condition of everything else. Trying to think of something else positive, booking our stay was easy to do online, the price seemed fair compared to other properties if only they would fix these issues, and the beach was nice.

Great condo

This condo was the perfect size for our family of 5 (kids ages 3, 6, and 9). There was room for our toddler bed in the bedroom and our older 2 took turns sleeping on the top bunk. The condo was also very close to the beach. It was perfect! We would love to come back.

Beach front access

I loved being able to wake up early and walk right to the beach. Didn't have to load anything up in the car or walk far at all. Great for kids. The pool was also nice and clean. Lots of kids running around the whole place, very family friendly

Wonderful stay only one problem

We had a beautiful stay for our couple of nights there. Perfect walk to the beach and pool/hot tub area. I was especially happy about it being on the bottom floor because it made accessing everything even easier. My only complaint was the dryer. It worked but wouldn’t dry so we had to pack up wet clothes.
