Upon This Rock Cabin at Shaver Lake

UPON THIS ROCK Cabin at Shaver Lake is a split level 2,100 square foot cabin is built on a giant granite boulder in the middle of two lots with a wrap around deck that has forest views. The deck has lots of dining area and a gas BBQ (not available in winter).
The cabin gives a very warm and open feeling with its vaulted ceilings and is perfect for those large family gatherings.
Cabin has 3 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms -- 4 bedrooms with King size beds and 1 bedroom with a Queen bed and 2 twins. Other amenities include Fireplace, Pool Table, TV's, DVD’s, family and kid movies. There are also several games and puzzles. Washer and dryer available. Kitchen has side by side refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee makers, blender, toaster and full kitchen. Cabin features new Anlin dual pane windows. There is easy access with lots of parking and a horseshoe driveway.

Beds were comfortable, very kid and adult friendly we all enjoyed the view of the whole area, place was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and bbqing, host was very friendly and easy to communicate with when we needed to get ahold of her. Would definitely recommend and plan on staying there again.

Recent yearly stay

This will be our second year staying on the property and last year we mentioned the lack of cleanliness (spider webs and dust). So we returned thinking things may have improved, however things did not improve it was actually worse. Multiple beds look made but under blankets sheets are messy and have crumbs in bed. Plus spider webs and food wrappers under bed. The owner is kind and even let us in early, however the cleaning people need to be reevaluated since we pay a cleaning deposit. Unfortunately we will not be staying again. Plus the beds are getting really bad.

Great place for a group

We stayed here with our family of 8. Plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds for everyone and the living area had ample seating. Everyone really enjoyed the pool table and hanging out on the deck. We brought our dog with us and appreciated the fact that the deck was completely enclosed so we could let him outside without worry. The only small complaint would be the water pressure and temperature in the showers and the fact that we had to bring our own bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay!

This home had absolutely everything and more for our small stay. We loved the area, nice and quiet and the drive to shaver lake was nice and short. Amazing place and stay would love to come back specifically to this place for another family vacation to shaver lake.

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. We have returned year after year in February and have always loved the snow-covered wooded views from the deck. The house is perfect for multiple families with five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The heater works well and we have always been well supplied with fire wood for the wood stove. The kitchen is well stocked. The sofas and beds are very comfortable. The hosts were very communicative and helpful both before and during our stay.

Great times!

Let’s start by saying this place was such a great place for our family get together. There’s things for everyone to do, the space was big enough for all 13 of us. Our second night there it snowed on us and the kids were able to play right on the patio. Everything was great the only thing is the beds were just a little uncomfortable. Overall our family enjoyed it and we are planing on renting this same spot next time.

Family Time

We enjoyed all the room that we had and we got some snow so it was a beautiful. They had everything that was mentioned on the rental site and more. I would go back to this location.

Cozy Mountain Home

We really enjoyed our stay at Shaver! We opted for the easy button the last few years and rented homes instead of taking our trailers up. We rented a couple houses very close to each other. Owners of this property are extremely responsive and kind if you have any questions or need any clarification. There was some confusion or info that needs updated on the rental site which I assume is a third party so just go with the messages/instructions from the owner. PS- If you have little ones (or bigs!) the neighbor has an ice cream truck and happily stops by for an after dinner treat!

The House On The Rock

This home is big, beautiful and cozy! We come to Shaver yearly as a family trip with my four grown sons. They had so much fun with the pool table and the eating and sitting quarters are all large enough for a big group! Shari was so good at answering any questions or concerns!! The only downside is, there’s no central air so if it’s in the hotter summer months, it’s pretty warm. We came early this year, in June, so it was perfect! Bring a can opener, that was the only thing missing for us! I hope we can stay here again!!!

Perfect family arear

Each family had their own space with their own bathroom. We all then came together in the living area and utilize the deck for playing games after the lake. Plenty of space for six adults and three children. Thank you

Very nice stay

The stay was wonderful, how ever I think the house keeping is not keeping up with making sure to dust the window seals for spiderwebs, found a few spiders in Three rooms one In the downstairs bath were two. One in the bedroom downstairs. One in the upstairs bedroom. I know the house is in the mountains. But other than that our stay was wonderful. The shower with the jacuzzi tub a bit hard to get into to take a shower. My wife had a very hard time getting in. I had to assist her getting in and out. Might consider in the future removing that and making it a regular shower. Just my opinion cause of how hard it was to get in and out of it. Really love the wood burning stove. Kept the upper house really nice and warm. But Will return again.
