Pool is advertised as heated until the end of October, I informed renters the weather was quite cold during their stay in November. Unfortunately, the heater was not able to work on the last two days due to the cold weather. An expensive fix on the pool heater. Hot tub was working.....Lesson learned.

After owning and renting this home for over 18 years, I have had never had one incident regarding the pool. There is a large safety regulation sign listing all pool rules. Specifically, no dogs on pool deck, in pool or pool area. All sliding glass doors have locks, so it is impossible for someone to come in from outside the house unless they have a key to the front door of house.. The door from living room to pool has a bar which locks the door from the inside and out. There are floaties located in cabinet in pool area. There is no alarm on pool, in fact I've never heard of an alarm in a pool. An alarm wouldn't have saved their dog from jumping or falling into pool. These guests accidently locked their dog in the pool area, and left for an outing. Upon returning they found their dog in the pool and immediately, in a most verbally violent way accused my son and I first, then just myself of entering the house and killing their dog. Totally absurd! No one enters one our 5 rental properties without permission from the occupying guests. Nor was there any need to go into the home. They received money, I didn't need to refund.. It's very sad they lost their pet, but I in no way take any responsiblility. That, they need to do themselves. Beware....

I'm sorry to hear your complaints, but you will need to contact Vrbo for allowing you to book this house. You are writing as the wife and credit card you provided. But David Cannady is name is on the booking. And he is a confirmed felon registered sex offender. I don’t know how he slipped in to book this home. There are no reviews since 2018 in your husband's name. And anyone can google more information. was worried for your entire stay. And I am so sorry your granddaughter was frightened. Although, I can't understand why on my part. The rental family next door never experienced those issues. Contrary, they said you were a big complainer. Yes, the house is historical, that is it's charm......All the plants and pool need upkeep weekly, regardless if there are guests. That is why the pool is crystal clear, jacuzzi clean and beautiful blossoming plants. You are unfortunately welcome to make any complaints., even if they are untrue... My previous five star ratings indicate my commitment to provide the best experience for our guests. .

Due to all the amenities included at Home Sweet Home, I always offer every guest a personal walk through the home, or a telephone walk through at checkin. You didn’t notice the pool temperature, as the heater was on…. Regardless of the evening low temperatures. All of your concerns would have not existed, if you accepted that offer. Thank you for your stay….
