Very nice quiet place

We were just looking for a nice little get away, and this house was the perfect size, the owner was very easy to get ahold of, and responded very quickly. Would love to stay here again.

Must Stay!

We loved the home! Well appointed with everything we needed, including some drinks in the fridge! Nicely decorated, comfy beds. We LOVED the location and didn't miss walking to a sinset every night. Absolutely amazing home in great neighborhood. So close to the beach, seriously like 5 minute walk. Would absolutely stay again.

Home at the Lake

Just a wonderful place and the host was absolutely wonderful! Views of the lake were incredible, and convenient for all of our activities. Would recommend this home for anyone and we will be visiting again.

Very nice little house

The house was clean, directions were perfect. The location is wonderful! We had an event at the Orchid Room at Miller’s Preserve & it was nice & close. We’re originally from the area, but now live in FL, so being close to the water was nice. Jake’s on the Lake for perch dinner was phenomenal & close enough to walk to. Thank you Michael !!!

Quiet, modern, comfortable place in beautiful neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay here...it’s in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood right across the street from Lake Erie. Michael’s home is clean, has modern amenities and is a perfect place for a couple or a family...with 3 bedrooms & 1 1/2 baths. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cleveland!

Another Great Stay

The house is great for our family. There's an elementary school nearby, so easy access to a playground. Everything was clean. The owner is helpful and was able to meet our request for a late check out.

Perfect for our needs

Very clean. Perfect location for us. We attended a wedding at Bay Village church, but still wanted to go to Cedar Point and Vermilion and such, so it worked out great. Check in and out was excellent and the owner was very responsive to questions!

Michael is a Great host.

Great location for Lake Erie fishing, Ramp, fish cleaning station and bait shop are very close. There is also adequate parking for 2 boats and is a safe area. The house was super clean. I will re-book again.

Travel, Stay, Repeat

Host's directions to home were clear, accurate & easy to follow and upon arrival we found beverages and hygiene products readily available. Highlights of the home and area include a well-appointed kitchen, nice towels with enough towels for everyone and a large, diverse shopping area within 15 minutes. Be sure to walk west and cross the street for excellent sunset views. We experienced excellent communication with the host and Internet & TV issues were resolved quickly.

Clean & Convenient

We enjoyed our stay and will likely stay here again next time we visit family in the area. The location is great because you can walk three blocks to a park to enjoy the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed for doing some light cooking and plates, utensils, etc. for take out. The only thing I missed was pair of scissors. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Overall a great place to stay.

Immaculate home

Michael is a highly attentive host. He was responsive and friendly and welcoming in every way. The home's housekeeper, located across the street could not have been more pleasant and thoughtful. She and Michael arranged a very quick turn around to get the home ready for us as we were otherwise "homeless" with our pets until the standard check-in time. The location of the property is very pleasant - right off the lake.

Nice place

The good: super clean, full kitchen, comfortable bed. The owner was nice and very communicative. Cable, wifi, washer+dryer. Overall felt very homely. The bad: the flooring was very messed up, clearly had water damage. The master was loud being adjacent to the main road, also needs curtains in the master. Also one of the bathroom doors wouldn't shut.

Lori’s a keeper!

Wow! This is nice. 24 hours before our scheduled stay the property owner reached out to see if we would be open to changing to a different house. The property we initially booked had a guest extend the stay for health reasons. Of course we were happy to help! Boom! The Lorie house was THE CLEANEST HOUSE WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN! Well equipped with very comfortable furniture fresh linens and a fenced back yard for our dog.I have traveled for much of my career and have stayed in every property type imaginable. The house was cleaner than any 5 star resort. Mike, the property manager was very responsive and accommodating. Truly, I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.

What a great place!

We stayed at this house in Avon Lake for 5 nights. It was great! House was super clean, very well provisioned and the host couldn't have been better - very responsive (but not intrusive). Beds were very comfortable. Tastefully decorated. About 30 minutes of easy driving to get to downtown Cleveland or the airport and it was in a super safe place. Felt very safe to sit out on the patio at all hours. We appreciated all the amenities provided (Forgot your toothbrush? Extras provided!). If we ever get back to this area we'll stay here again. Highly recommended.

Lovely Home

We really enjoyed our stay at this house with our "grand dog". The place was very clean, nice/new appliances, good TV in living room, heat worked well because it was cold when we were there. There was street (water main) construction going on. Mike (the owner) came by a couple times to check on us. It wasn't his fault the construction happened then (no notice given). It worked out ok. The surrounding area was very nice. We would stay her again. Note: there is no actual backyard, just unfenced front and side yard (for dogs)

The house was fine but there were a few issues

We had trouble finding where to park because the driveway is actually not on the road where the address is. It would have been nice to have this information since we arrived in the dark. The house was fine but the refrigerator was dirty and smelled of alcohol. There were not enough blankets. And the orange street lights shone into one of the bedrooms making it hard to sleep. Also more floor lamps so it's not all just overhead lighting and the overheads could use some dimmer switches. I thought the house was a lot closer to the Lake but that may just have been my misunderstanding. Communication with the owner was fine

I am so sorry that your stay wasn’t exceptional. A few responses for you though, the driveway is on the side of the house off of the side street since it is on a corner lot. I will add that on to the listing. There are additional blankets in every one of the closets. All lights in the house have dimmer switches on them. The “orange light” , I am guessing is the street lamp and since the bedrooms are on the back side of the house not sure how that that would affect the evenings and all windows have blinds. I cannot say for sure about the fridge since the cleaning person handles that but if it was it would have been a pure oversight and I apologize for that. Also on a side note, You did pay the pet fee which we appreciated but we do not allow cats at the house and you brought 2 of them

Mom’s Respite Stay - A pleasant reprieve

I came to Ohio to help out with a serious family health issue for my big brother. Part of that involved some much needed support for our elderly mom, who at 91 years of age, is living in Assisted Living apartment. Though she has friends there, there’s nothing better for supper than making her feel she’s loved and important than being with family. Nothing could help make that get off on the right foot than being ‘home’ with some togetherness and TLC. And that’s exactly where Michael and his home in Avon Lake came to the rescue…for I sense mom felt she’d been rescued from the angst and loneliness through a tough time. She felt at home, and that felt great. It was her first stay at a VRBO type home and it was a great first stay and I know she’ll love more. The home itself is fully updated, had a great TV and DVD player. Came with two bathrooms, with easy access across the wide hallway from her bedroom . There was only one step up to the entrance and one step down on the inside to the living area. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were all on the same level, making for a safe stay as mom has mobility issues and uses a walker. The well stocked flatware, knives, and cooking equipment made meals at home most welcome. The appliances are all user friendly, brand spanking new and clean as new too. The entire home was impeccably cleaned and the beds most comfortable. Mom’s bed was a perfect height for getting in and out of. All the heds were super comfortable. The walk in shower was a blessing with a removable shower head for her self care. We loved our stay. The entire visit was all the more fun being pet friendly and having my 3 dogs with me. Though the yard is not fenced, it was easy enough to take the dogs out on a leash. The home sits on a lovely corner lot across the street from Lake Erie with beautiful views and homes especially all the more beautiful and brighter on the spirits by the holiday lighting for Christmas. Had the place not been booked after our week long stay, I’d still be staying. And, I had the good fortune of getting to meet my terrific host, Michael. He’s truly accommodating and the home was thoughtfully stocked. Trust your gut and rent from him; you won’t be disappointed.
