Location location location

This villa is in a fabulous location metres from the sea. You can hear the waves and the views are so stunning. It’s a quiet area a few tavernas and a well stocked small supermarket within a minutes walk. The outdoor space at this villa was our highlight. Plenty of decent sun beds and shades. Gas BBQ was a hit. We didn’t spend hardly anytime in the villa itself except to sleep but it it very spacious. Played table tennis most nights we all enjoyed. The bed sheets and towels were replaced during our stay which was nice. We drove into Rhythmone ( about 15 minutes away) for a day definitely worth a visit. Taxi is about 18 euros. A few issues we had were quickly sorted by the owner. Could do with a little updating in places but it would never put me off booking this villa again.

Family Beach Holiday

Big villa. All amenities close by, supermarket , ATM and restaurant at the bottom of the road. If you don't want to drive and just relax it is perfect. if you want day trips and adventure there is also plenty to do near by. Views from the villa are beautiful. Friendly, helpful owner.

Three generations holiday

We had a warm welcome from Roula, the owner who was in touch every day for queries and information and snags we’re resolved same day. We spent a glorious fortnight at Golden Sand Villa and apart from the large family spaces, great pool and outdoor areas, amazing aircon in all rooms and it’s proximity to tavernas and a supermarket ( but felt very private and secure) we were there when turtles were coming onto the beach to make nests snd lay their eggs, what a bonus!

Familienurlaub

Der Aufenthlt in der Villa war super. Sehr nette Vermieterin, die jeden Tag vorbei kam, den Pool säuberte und nach Wünschen fragte. Sie hat uns Obst und eigenes Olivenöl mitgebracht und uns auch beim Check-out in aller Herrgottsfrühe persönlich verabschiedet. Die Villa selbst ist toll. Der zum Pool offene Wintergarten mit Tichtennisplatte, großem Tisch, Gasgrill und einem kleinen Tisch mit Bank für die Kinder zum Basteln oder malen hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage der Villa mit direktem Zugang zu Strand und Meer ist perfekt. Fazit insgesamt: ein gelungener und schöner Urlaub.

Fabulous house in a brilliant location

Absolutely loved this place - being able to access the beach was such a treat, as was the conveniently situated supermarket and nearby tavernas. We also got the bus into Rethmyno and taxis home so there really is no need for a car if you want a lazy holiday! The house is well equipped and very comfortable, we especially enjoyed the outside areas. The only downside is it’s proximity to a very busy highway - it’s pretty noisy and the bedrooms on that side of the property near the brunt of it, so not good if you’re a light sleeper.

Traumhafte Location

Ein traumhafter Urlaub. Zur Feier der abgeschlossenen Matura sind wir zu zehnt in die Villa gereist. Ein Traum! Die Villa hat eine super Lage. 1h transfer vom Flughafen Heraklion, 15 min mit dem Taxi in die nächste große City - Rethimno, welche sehr empfehlenswert ist sich anzusehen. Der Supermarkt ist mit einem Fußweg von 2min zu erreichen und das Meer ist direkt vor der Türe. Also ein Auto ist nicht notwendig, alles ist bestens zu erreichen. Die Dame welcher das Haus gehört ist auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie kommt jeden Morgen um den Pool zu reinigen und bietet zusätzlich ohne Kosten an während dem Aufenthalt vorbei zu kommen um nach Wünschen zu reinigen. Die Zimmer selbst sind alle sehr ordentlich und schön, mit einer funtionierenden Klimaanlage ausgestattet und einem sauberen Badezimmer. Der Pool ist ebenfalls ein Traum und sehr zu genießen. Ein Tischtennistisch ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Der Grill ist hervorragend für einen gemütlichen Grillabend in der Villa mit Blick auf das Meer. Im Endeffekt kann ich Ihnen die Villa wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Alle 10 von uns haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und die Zeit bis zum letzten Tag genossen. Sehr Empfehlenswert!!

Perfect property

The property was amazing. Clean and tidy, great location and facilities. The owner was very helpful and was happy to answer queries via WhatsApp during our stay. Shame that most of the local shops and venues were closed during our stay but this was due to the time of year.

Amazing villa in a perfect location!

This was one of the best villas we have ever stayed in. The communication with the management company was exceptional. After the initial booking I changed the date, the number of people staying and had lots of questions. Each time I had such a quick reply to all my queries - thank you! The villa is very clean and well appointed. There are 6 en-suite bedrooms, plus 2 additional bathrooms, one with a shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for our stay. The best feature of this villa is its location. The lovely beach is just in front of the house and it was so relaxing to get up in the morning and look at the sea. There is a well stocked supermarket close by and we ate in 6 different tavernas, all in walking distance. The food was delicious and very good value. We spent most of our time relaxing around the pool. The sun beds were very good quality and pool towels were supplied. There is also a large table in a covered area which was perfect to sit around during the evening. Roula, the owner of the villa, is a lovely lady who came round to check on the pool a few times. She brought us a beautiful bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine when we arrived. We were a family group of 8 people and we all had an amazing week in this beautiful villa. I hope we get the chance to stay there again.

Familienferien sind gelungen

Wir waren drei Familien gemeinsam in dem Haus in den Ferien. Platzmässig war es eine perfekte Wahl. 11 Personen und es war immer genug Raum, oder wenn jemand seine Ruhe wollte war auch das kein Problem. Die grösseren Kinder konnten nach Lust und Laune im Pool oder am Meer baden. Wir haben vor allem die Aussenanlage genutzt, heisst auch der grosse Tisch draussen ist wunderbar, obwohl zu elft schon etwas eng. Verkehrstechnisch gut erschlossen und nah zu Reythimno. Gute Ausgangsposition für diverse Ausflüge auch ins Landesinnere. Aufgrund der naheliegenden Schnellstrasse ist es nie ganz ruhig, uns hat dies aber nicht gross gestört, da es mit Kindern sowieso selten ruhig ist :-) Die Küche und deren Ausstattung empfanden wir als Familien-Selbstkocher teilweise eher als Herausforderung, machbar, aber bei einer Unterkunft für 12 Personen haben wir etwas anderes erwartet. Die vielen kleinen Mängel im Haus (Bsp.: defekte Küchenschranktüren, freie hängende Steckdosen, defekte Stühle im Aussenbereich, etc.) wären unserer Meinung mit ein wenig Pflege leicht zu beheben und würden einen anderen Gesamteindruck hinterlassen. Super, fanden wir den Service mit den schönen und grossen Badetüchern, welche abgegeben werden und das Saubermachen und frische Betten machen Mitte der Woche, das war sehr sehr gut! und auch nötig bei al dem Sand :-) Alles in allem , haben wir unseren Urlaub im Oktober bei sehr angenehmen Wetter sehr genossen - in der Hochsaison wäre uns der Preis für das Haus aber definitiv zu hoch. Künftige Gäste darüber informieren, dass Badetücher abgegeben werden, da kann man sich etwas Gepäck sparen!

Großzügige Zimmer. Viele kleine Mängel

Im großen und ganzen ein gelungener Urlaub vor Ort. Um die Villa herum ist alles etwas provisorisch und nichts fürs Auge. Am Strand liegt viel Treibholz und Steine. Ansonsten ist es Sandstrand, was ja nicht überall in Griechenland der Fall ist. In der Villa selber waren viele kleine Dinge kaputt oder nur halbherzig verarbeitet. Auch hatten wir teilweise Ameisenstraßen in der Küche. Auch waren die Duschen für manche von uns sehr klein oder auch undicht. Manchen Henkel von Türen oder Schubladen gingen auf Grund von mangelhafter Verarbeitung schnell ab. Also wenn man ins Detail guckt findet man auf jeden Fall viele kleine Baustellen, die man hätte besser machen bzw. beheben können. Wir waren mit 11 Personen in dem Haus und teilweise hat man keinen angetroffen. Also wenn man möchte kann man sich hier auch gut aus dem weggehen. Räumlichkeiten sind sehr großzügig. Betten komfortabel. Wir waren eine Woche da. Die Haushälterin kommt jeden Morgen gegen 7 und macht den Pool etwas sauber. Gegen Mitte des Urlaubs wurde das Haus komplett durchgewischt und die Betten neu bezogen. Direkt um die Ecke gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Taverne wo man gut essen gehen kann. Auch eine Apotheke ist nicht weit. Da die Villa nahe an der Schnellstraße liegt, kommt schnell überall hin. Die Geräusche der Straße hat man fast garnicht wahrgenommen. Wir hatten vor Ort viel Spaß und waren im großen und ganzen echt zu Frieden. Es wäre schön wenn die vielen kleinen Mängel noch behoben werden, damit auch zukünftige Besucher sich noch wohler fühlen.

Wonderful stay

The house is absolutely amazing, well-equiped, wide open spaces, big pool and garden ; and the fact that the beach is just at the end of the garden made our stay wonderful. We had a really great time during our week on this location. But I have to say that the only problem we had was a big one : the host Rula was here everyday, entering inside the house or the garden without warning at any moment of the day, and when we said to her that we were feeling inconfortable with her visits, she didn't change anything. On the middle of our week, she came one morning with all the cleaning crew, entered in all the rooms to make a big cleaning up like if we were living the house (it was wednesday), and we were stuck out the house in the garden during almost 2hours. I know that Rula only wanted to do well, but it was very intrusive and unconfortable for us, and we felt like we were spied and watched. Still we absolutely recommend the house and the location, but the host needs to be more discreet, and come only once in the week to ask if everything is ok, not everyday

Preciosa casa frente al mar

La casa es muy bonita, amplia y luminosa, con todas las comodidades. Las habitaciones tiene cada una su baño y las camas son muy cómodas. El jardín y la piscina son perfectos para relajarte y para que los niños jueguen. Esta bien comunicada, a un paso de la carretera principal y andando se llega a supermercados y restaurantes. Rula, la dueña de la casa estuvo disponible en todo momento y atendiendo cualquiera necesidad.

Bassenget var perfekt for barna og ble kontrollert og rengjort hver morgen !! 50 meter fra villaen til sandstranda som var perfekt for bad og svømming for barn og voksne. Kun 80 meter til nærmeste supermarked og restaurant og mange bra restauranter i nærheten. Kun 150 meter til busstopp med avgang hver halvtime til Rethymno. Og ikke minst veldig hyggelig og hjelpsomt vertskap/eiere. Kan anbefales for storfamilier !!!!

Schönes Haus direkt am Meer

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen im Haus. Die Lage des Hauses (direkt am Meer, in der unmittelbaren Nähe ein Supermarkt und mehrere gute Tavernen) hat uns sehr gefallen. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist jedoch, dass relativ nah am Haus die stark befahrene Hauptstraße vorbei geht. Am Tag fällt dies kaum auf, in der Nacht ist dies jedoch störend, da man kaum mit offenen Fenster schlafen kann (zum Glück hat aber jedes Schlafzimmer eine Klimaanlage, die auch gut funktioniert). Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist o.k. Besonders gut gefallen hat und der Außenbereich (toller Essplatz im Schatten). Die Besitzerin ist eine ganz liebe Frau, die sich jederzeit um die Gäaste kümmert (Sie kommt jeden Vormittag vorbei, um den Pool zu reinigen). Der Strandbereich am Haus hat uns auch sehr gefallen - man kann direkt vom Haus in 1 Minute in´s Meer springen.
