This condominium is located in the trendy new north end of 5th Ave, between the most beautiful beach in Playa, Coco Beach, and 5th Avenue, the heart of Playa Del Carmen.
Condo has been updated, from fixture to furniture in 2023.

Tastefully furnished, this condo has two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other two twin beds, and a Queen size bed, each with its own private full bath and large closet space. The condo also includes a half bath off the living area, washer/dryer, 50" smart TV, stream your favorite cable, DVD player and one parking space. Also provided are 6 beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler for the beach.Condo also has safe. Water softener. Ice maker.

The kitchen comes complete with crock pot, coffee maker, blender ,hot and cold water dispenser, toaster, ice maker. Large windows, sliding glass doors and a balcony off the master bedroom, and one off the living room area allow a pleasant breeze through this unit. Each room has its own temperature controlled air conditioner and a ceiling fan.

Whether you walk one block to the beach, one block to 5th Avenue or just relax by the rooftop pool, this condo is the perfect vacation getaway. Super Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Mega food store near by.

Perfect location

The condo is great. The location is perfect. The bedrooms are huge. So close to the beach, and 5th Ave is right there. Everything you needed was at your fingertips Ernie was great to deal with. If we return to Playa, I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic property

Great host, great location, fantastic communication. I stayed 8 days in January with the family. The vicinity of the beach and restaurants was the key factor when we chose the property. It was a little loud at night outside to my liking but it did not spoil overall experience.

Great apartment in a wonderful location.Only 1 thing for improvement shower in master bedroom has very low water pressure but shower in room with 3 beds works great.Highly recommend this apartment.

The renter is correct. Because of the high sediment in the water, the showers will need to be cleaned depending on there use. I sent the maintenance man to correct the issue.

excellent condo and location

This place was perfect for our family. 2 blocks to the beach and 1 block to 5th Ave. The condo was spacious and well appointed with everything we needed. Beach chairs and coolers were provided. The king-size bed in the master bedroom was great and the 3 beds in the 2nd bedroom were fine for our kids. The area was quiet, and we really liked the rooftop pool. Would love to stay here again.

New Years week...

...was kind of crowded. But we were able to find a quieter spot by taking a left on Calle Flamingo and accessing the public beach that way. Only a few minutes extra and it was like night and day. The location of the unit was good- easy access to just about everything. The unit itself was pretty much as advertised- a little older but had everything we needed. All in all a good week! If you haven't been to Rio Secreto it's highly recommended- definitely the highlight of our trip.

The guest was right, everything did age. Since this review, we improved the following. Painted the entire condo, every room. New smart T. V. new sofa, new all purpose toaster oven, ice maker, new linen.

Better than expected!!

We were so impressed with this property. It was clean and spacious and exceeded our expectations. It was so close to the beach and 5th avenue but without the noise! And the side the condo is located on wasn't built up, so it was amazing to sit on the balcony and look out to greenery rather than another condo. The pool was always a fun spot to hang out and a great opportunity to meet your fellow neighbours! We did have some issues with the AC not working in one of the rooms, but the property manager and Ernie had it all taken care of same day and everythign was working great! Ernie was great to sort out details with and always responded quickly. I would definately recomend this location for a longterm stay. We definately enjoyed walking along 5th and discovering the restaurants - Dirty Martini Lounge on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday is the place to be! El pirata also has delicious seafood and is close by. We were so lucky and happy to stay in this condo!

Great Condo in Wonderful Location

We had an amazing visit to Playa. The Meridian Condos are in a great location that is close to 5th Street, but quiet and tranquil. The condo is easy to access and had everything we needed for our party of 6. Ernie was available to us at all times and checked to make sure that we had everything we needed. The third level pool is fantastic. It is very quiet up there and a great place to hang out. We spent time daily there. The beach is easily accessible, as is the main street (5th) with all of the restaurants and shops. There is an Italian restaurant up on the corner that we would highly recommend and be sure to visit the tequila stores. Tequila in Playa is an experience. We tried so many restaurants and all of them were fabulous. Close to the condo is more affordable and as you head towards 20th they get more expensive. We took public transportation everywhere. The Colectivo's are so easy to use and only cost about $2 USD each way. We took them to Tulum and a couple Cenotes (Azul & Garden of Eden). It is easy to grab one up on 2nd street at the main station. We took a ADO bus to Coba then took a taxi back to Tulum and a Colectivo to Playa. You can not beat the price and we loved being able to see things at our own pace. Took the Ferry over to Cozumel for a day. Beautiful and worth the trip. Shop at Mega. It is less than a mile walk and they have everything you need there. We did grab fruit at some of the vendors along the way. We soaked all fruit and vegetables in Microdyn which you can find at Mega. Staying in the Meridian Condo was a great experience. We had access to everything we needed and it was nice to be able to cook for ourselves and have more privacy than when you stay in a hotel. I would highly recommend this experience.

Home Away From Home, With Everything Close By

Ernie's condo is beautiful and restful after a day of adventure, on Quinta, or on the beach. It's much bigger than we expected, and those couches are so comfy and cool. From the balcony is a jungle view of trees and birds. If there's construction when you get there, don't worry. We were very annoyed at the sound when we got out of the cab , but Ernie's is far away enough in the complex that's it's mostly muffled; I could take a nap in the day without feeling disturbed, and I'm a light sleeper. The complex is beautiful, with foliage all around. The rooftop pool was peaceful, with no kids, and while it could use a couple of umbrellas, I was able to stay around one of the trees for shade. I read a review of a different complex, and the reviewer mentioned going to MegaMart for garbage bags, dish soap, etc. Ernie's has everything, from coffee filters to Ziplocks. It seems everybody leaves it a little better than when they came. We replaced what we used, and left our good bug spray too, because we never used it. And we never went to MegaMart! There's a "Mini Super" just a couple blocks up on Quinta and 40th, and it really has almost everything a supermarket does. The beach is very close, and we were able to walk to a perfect spot. The backpack beach chairs are light to carry, and with one of the small coolers and the umbrella they made it perfect for beach days. To go to Quinta, we recommend going over a block to 38th, and taking your time to walk up the 2 short blocks. There's a cenote in the sidewalk, cool restaurants, and a lot of details that I think will make it popular once it gets "discovered," so you'll want to see it now. At the end of the day, we loved coming "home" to relax on those great couches while listening to the birds in the small jungle across the balcony. There's a good size TV too, and there were a number of English speaking channels and movies, but we didn't use it much. We just can't say enough great things about our stay in Ernie's condo!

Amazing, Quiet, Location ,Location, Location

The condo is perfect, it has everything you need, from coolers for the beach to a crockpot. The rooftop pool was my daughter's favourite place to be, we enjoyed it as well. If you wanted to go to the beach a 5 minute walk from the condo and you can rent chairs for 120 pesos, get a massage as well if you want too. 5th Avenue is just a five minute walk the other way with tons of restaurants, I do recommend Chez Celine for a great breakfast. Ernie is very prompt at replying to all emails or any situation that occurs. We love this place, it is our 2nd stay and thinking about going back again all ready.

Great location!

We stayed in the condo for nine days at the end of March. We were really happy with the location - two blocks to the beach and two blocks to 5th Ave. We have stayed in other locations in Playa, but found this condo to be much more quiet as there is little traffic in the area. We also enjoyed the size of the condo as there are two large bedrooms, three bathrooms, a dining area and a living room area, along with two balconies. There are several comfortable beach chairs to use (which we did every day) and the pool on the roof was great. We also enjoyed all the friendly people we met who were vacationing there as well. Ernie was great to deal with, right from the booking to our exit. We had an issue with the fridge and he took care of it right away. We would recommend this condo to our friends and family and hope to stay here again in the future.

Comfortable, clean and well located

The condo was just as described in listing. Very clean and comfortable. It is located on the far north end of 5th Avenue, so is quiet and peaceful. The beach is 2 blocks away and an easy walk up to the Beach clubs where they rent chaises and umbrellas. The pool on the 4th floor is nice but very little shade available. We enjoyed our stay!

Quiet convenient rental

We stayed at this condo while in town for a wedding. The condo was exactly as pictured and described on the site and was very comfortable with many amenities and was well kept up. The response from the owner and maintenance was immediate and one small problem with a leaky air conditioning unit was resolved within a couple hours of my email to the owner. The condo is convenient to 5th avenue but also far enough removed that it is quiet and peaceful. There are some good local restaurants nearby such as the Taco stand on calle 38 and 5th ave run by Gustav. La pirata on 40th was highly recommended by the locals but we never figured out the hours. Playa del Carmen was very expensive and touristy in general but the condo made the stay a better experience and more economic. Also, if you're not interested in electronic music, I recommend avoiding going during January when the BPM festival is taking place.

Meridian Condo is an Excellent Value

We had an excellent vacation. We have been visiting Playa for the last eight years. We have rented villas and condos. Meridian Condo is an excellent property. Considering the price, it is also an excellent value. The condo was clean, well kept, spacious and very comfortable. Based on the pictures we expected a smaller space, but it is a very large condo. The bedrooms are big and there is plenty of storage space. The beds and the pillows were comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well and never failed us. The TV and cable was good. Plenty of restrooms and shower pressure was excellent. The kitchen is full size with a big stove and refrigerator. The kitchen could be used to cook a large meal. We did very little cooking but were impressed with the utility of it all. The location is also excellent. You are close to the beach and also to the main drag. It is about 10 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the main drag all walking. We highly recommend the condo.

Meridian Condo is beautiful and walking distance from the beach

We had a wonderful vacation and these accommodations were excellent The property is clean and well maintained. The listing description is accurate. The kitchen has plenty of cooking equipment. The staff is friendly. The pool is nice and well maintained. The property has a nice balcony. Wifi and TV were also fine. The owner was extremely helpful and returned something I left behind. I would recommend condo to anybody. The nearby activities and attractions in Playa del Carmen were wonderful. We had a great time and I hope we can go again.

Meridian condo

Our stay at the Meridian condo was exactly as advertised in the listing and photos. There was even a large blue umbrella for the beach which came in handy, as there was not much shade by the beach! The owner was very helpful answering our questions and concerns. It was ideally located 2 blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from 5th Avenue. You could walk to many shops and restaurants, yet it was very quiet. The management kept the complex in perfect condition, including the rooftop pool.

Relaxing in Playa

We enjoyed our stay at Ernie's condo in the quiet north end of Playa. Great location for getting to the beach or 5th Ave! Plenty of room for 5 adults. Ernie was very responsive when we had an A/C problem, fixed immediately! Nice rooftop pool and very secure building. We would rent from Ernie again, highly recommend!

My wife and I bought a condo in Playa Del Carmen for many reasons, but the most important reason was the weather; it is always warm and sunny. Another reason was the Caribbean beach’s white sand and warm turquoise water. The area is very safe and the people are friendly.
The location of the condo is very convenient because although it is two blocks from the beach and one block from 5th Ave the area is still very quiet. The location is also close to both Super Wal-mart and Mega store.
