Pink Door Cottage. Northern Michigan Cottage.

Small charming cottage (600 sq. ft.) close to Otsego Lake. Public access/boat launch 1 block away. County park with beach located 2 blocks away. Great for any water sport. Outside space has grill, fire pit and picnic table. Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am sharp. Must be 23 years of age to rent. ID required for insurance purposes. Many options for outdoor activities including fishing, swimming, hiking and skiing. Groomed trails are 3-4 miles down the road for snowmobiling as well. Drive time to local attractions:
Mackinac Bridge, 1 hour
Sleeping Bear Dunes, 1.5 hours
Boyne Mountain, 35 minutes
Traverse City, 1.25 hours
Petoskey, 45 minutes

Perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. Heated by furnace in the winter.
Smart TV (WIFI), DVD player and
movies provided.
2 box fans in closet. No air, No cable.

Very nice home! Very clean! Will stay there again next time we visit the area. The only slight issue was that the propane tank ran out on our first evening. No biggie though.

One of our favorite rentals! It was lovely. Cottage was clean and very nicely decorated. The yard was beautiful, lots of pretty flowers and plants. Also had a nice deck and grill, that we enjoyed. We had a great stay!

Did not care for streaming tv. No local channels for weather or activities (Alpenfest). To many knick knacks on tables...looks nice, but no place to set things (lap top,phone,coffee cup ect.

Cozy little cabin

Nice cozy cabin for what we needed. Loved the fire pit out back. The bed was comfy. Bathroom/ shower was a little small but worked well. There was no shampoo or conditioner which honestly wasn’t a big issue since there are plenty of stores near. Overall, very clean with comfy bed, kitchen, fire place, and bonus of an outdoor grill. Check in was very easy and owners very responsive. We would stay again if we find ourselves in the area

The Pink Door Cottage is charming, a delightful place to stay. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. A great location near the lake. It was exactly what was looking for in long weekend getaway. So glad I found it.

Clean, Comfortable and Well Appointed

Tina and Dennis thought of everything, from extra bankets to nightlights. The house was immaculate and well kept. Hope to stay again sometime.

Terrible Host

The absolute lack of professionalism by the host was pathetic. I reserved this property for my 2 adult sons and my daughter in law for 4 nights while we were at family reunion in Gaylord. My boys hadn't seen each in while and were excited to spend time together on this trip. The first night they went to the reunion (off property) and arrived back to the cottage later that evening. The 3 of them were playing the board game Trouble and having a great time catching up with each other. Monday morning my daughter in law said she walked outside to the host screaming at the boys! They said the yelling and rant went on for over 5min. They were very apologetic and the host said she didn't want to hear their excuses. The host of the cottage lives a few feet away from the cottage. Some of the things she yelled at the 3 of them for was having a party, (there was only 3 of them), chewing chips to loudly (they didn't even have chips), and peeing outside. My son said he did pee outside, because his brother was in the bathroom (there is only 1 bathroom in the cottage). He agreed it was wrong and he apologized saying he shouldn't have done it, to which she started swinging her finger and screaming at them even more. The remaining 3 nights they were only there to sleep. There was a much better way to handle this situation instead of belittling them! They said while the cottage was nice and all, the interaction with the host ruined the remainder of the stay.

Fantastic cottage

Great place to stay. Listing was very accurate and we enjoyed our stay. Had an Internet issue that was quickly resolved. Good communication with the host. We would stay there again.

So great!

The stay was peaceful, clean and perfect! The owners were very friendly and kept the place up to par and very cute on the inside and out! Only complaint was the no air conditioning, but it wasn’t unbearable since it’s in such a shaded area. Would love to come back and stay here again since Gaylord is such a beautiful place!

Fun fall getaway

Very clean and nice cabin. It was only a 10-15 minute drive from everywhere we wanted to go in Gaylord, and a short walk to the beach. We especially enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, as it was a great place to see the fall colors :)

Weekend getaway/in town for a wedding

Very clean and very well put together. Tina was very responsive. Nicely located close enough to just about anything you can think of. Definitely keeping on our list for next time we come up.

Family vacay

My family vacations in Gaylord every year. We usually stay with our grandma but we needed more space and privacy. The pink door is small but cute and was convenient enough for us to come and go as needed!

Great place

Definitely a place to go with your spouse. Small children might not love it but it is close to the lake and a small boat access that is sandy and a great place to take a dip.

Cute Cottage

We had a wonderful stay. This cottage is so cute and in such a wonderful location. Quite and peaceful. The property was clean and we had everything we needed. The property owners, even checked on us, it got really cold one night, to make sure we didn’t need and more blankets.

Fun Fall Break

We had a great stay at this property. The location is very pretty and within walking distance of the park. It was a bit too cold to take advantage of the fire pit but we were warm and cozy in the house 😀

Lovely cottage in the woods!

Pristinely clean and cozy cottage just as pictured in the listing! Everything was in good condition and neat as a pin. The bathroom was small but perfectly outfitted with everything you need. A comfortable stay!
