A Great View in Town

This apartment is truly in the perfect location – slightly away from the hubbub of the historical centre, but close enough to walk there and to the famous avenida da Liberdade as well as Restauradores and Rossio squares. On your way back you can enjoy the oldest lift in Lisbon (1884), the "elevador da Lavra". Perfect for a quiet break while sightseeing.
Located on a high floor of a building with a lift, it has a fantastic view of the whole town, out to the Tagus River and Sao Jorge Castle. The neighbourhood is composed by a beautiful public garden with bars and restaurants around and is very well served by public transports to many places in town.
The apartment is classically elegant and very comfortable. You will feel immediately at home here, with its tasteful décor creating a warm and welcoming athmosphere. The living room is filled with light, with large windows and a wraparound balcony where you can enjoy the view. The kitchen is very modern and impeccably equipped.
The layout is the following: living room with lounge and dining area, two balconies, bedroom 1 (double bed, ensuite bathroom – bathtub and toilets, bedroom 2 (twin beds), bedroom 3 (twin 90 beds), shower room (shower and toilets).
Linens, sheets and towels are provided. The beds will be freshly made on arrival.

Our family of 5 (including three teen/young adult kids) had a wonderful stay. The apartment is beautiful, spotless, and has all the amenities we needed - plus lovely extras like wine & cheese to greet us. Marcos was an extremely helpful and accommodating host and always immediately available whenever we had questions. We highly recommend this property.

Marcos and Maria’s apartment was absolutely beautiful. We had a gorgeous view of Alfama, the castle and the river from nearly every window in the apartment. Everything was so clean and considerately staged for us. We could walk to and from Alfama and Baixa. There were lovely restaurants and a market nearby. We were so happy here!

This property was fabulous. The location was great, an easy walk to the water, with a quick bolt ride back. The view is amazing! Would absolutely recommend this place.

Great Apartment!! Great Host!!

Highly, highly recommended! Marc was an exceptional host. His home was beautiful with incredible views of the city. Beds, living area, and furnishings were all very comfortable and clean. The kitchen and utilities were helpful and easy to use. Marc even left us some local cheese and wine to celebrate our arrival. Marc also exceeded our expectations when our daughter left her jewelry at the apartment and he collected it and delivered it to us a week later when we returned to Lisboa. We highly recommend this VRBO and will plan to stay here on our next trip to Lisbon.

Wonderful stay!

The apartment was beautifully furnished and clean. Be sure to check out the wonderful book collection and artwork. The view from the front windows is spectacular with views of the old Moorish fort and the Tagus. Check in was easy. Our host provided a lovely bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers and a supply of coffee. There is a grocery market literally two doors away and several interesting restaurants within walking distance. Our visit coincided with a spell of unusually hot weather. However there are sun screens on the windows which help keep the heat out and ceiling fans in each bedroom and once the sun sets there is a cooling breeze available if you open the windows in the living room and kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and Marc fulfilled our request for feather-free bedding. We would happily return to the apartment on our next trip to Lisbon.

Wonderful location, stunning views

Marco and his wife are wonderful hosts. I do not believe that there is a better view of the castle and the bay than from their 5th floor apartment. Opposite the apartment is a nice park. It is surrounded by great restaurants, the area is quite nice. There is a breakfast place across the street that serves yummy breakfasts. The location is great. The apartment is clean and spacious, we would stay there again.

The absolute best

Where do we begin? The place is a real treasure for people who admire art and antiques and quality surroundings. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. There are two grocery stores close by and a lovely park across the street. And the best view in town. High quality windows that keep the city traffic noise to a minimum. We have stayed in countless VRBOs and we all agree this was the best. Coming from four women with high standards, that is saying a lot. We wish we were staying longer.

Beautiful views, lovely spacious apartment!

Marc's apartment was delightful in every respect. It has ample space (in fact is quite large), a nice kitchen, balconies from two of the three bedrooms and delightful views and living spaces. Highly recommended for your stay in Lisbon! We hope to return.

Just wonderful

Unbeatable views. The living room furniture is lived in but comfortable, the art is interesting, one feels at home. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are great with strong water pressure and abundant hot water. There is a washer and an honest to god dryer! The kitchen is well equipped and the host gave us some cheese, a bottle of wine and espresso pods for the machine. There is a market one half block away. The one weird thing about the apartment was the layout with the kitchen farthest away from the dining area.The owner is charming and informative, a few early bumps in communication ( we forgot the Lisbon code) proved unimportant. The elevator was a blessing. A 24 hour car park was a short walk through a lovely park filled with colorful birds. Nearest the apartment in the park is a children’s playground. Around the corner is a gelato shop, and a good cafe is across the street.Did I mention the views?Wow!

Enjoyed the stay in central apartment in Lisbon

Upscale modern apartment in central location of Lisbon. Host gave clear instructions and keys on check-in. He charges by number of guests so be sure to accurately list the number of guests for an accurate price or there is additional charge. Overall a nice apartment with a great view but a little bit pricey.

Almost perfect!

Outstanding personal residence, beautifully appointed, with amazing views. 2 couples and 1 single adult had plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The only negatives were the lack of air conditioning, even with windows open, it was quite warm. The key to get into the building was very, very temperamental and we were left waiting outside several times for a while until we could get in. All in all, we'd stay there again!and 2 bathrooms.

Loved the place

spacious property with stunning furniture. Great view. Old world layout with public spaces at the entry and bedrooms down the hall with the kitchen at the far end of the hall. Our keys did not work to open the front door so make sure they work at check in. Well stocked kitchen. two elevators to take you to the rooftop for drinks.

What a week in Lisbon! First time and apartment was perfect. Travelled with family of 6 and had room

Apartment was fantastic! Plenty of room for family of 6. Great location. Kids really enjoyed park across the street. No AC and a little hot during the day but it was summer. Cooled off perfectly in the evenings.

Great Views in Lisbon

My family really enjoyed our visit to Lisbon. Host met us at the property and was great. He went out of his way to offer restaurant suggestions and walk us thru his villa. We had a great visit and the home was very comfortable. We hit Lisbon at what I expect was the hottest 3 days of the year so we were a touch warm but expect the windows and fans do trick 99% of the year. Also, the views are really amazing.

Lovely neighborhood beautiful apartment.

The apartment was Spacious, comfortable, And has wonderful views. Be sure to let the manager know how many rooms/beds you will be using so that all are made when you arrive. There is no dedicated on-site parking. Closest overnight parking is about three blocks away @ €18 per day. The owner kindly left us a welcome basket consisting of a bottle of wine, snacks and coffee. Very thoughtful!
