Quiet creek-side cottage on 2 1/2 acres with the creek running 30 feet from the porch. As you pass through our gate, the sound of the rushing creek welcome you to our tranquil cabin. Woods that cradle the house on three sides and the creek steps away from our screened porch offer you the perfect chance to truly relax and unwind, enjoying the sounds of the Eastatoee Creek rushing over the rocks (as you sleep in one of the three newly renovated bedrooms), will provide you with one of the best night's sleep. Enjoy the morning with a freshly brewed cup of coffee on the porch, where hummingbirds gather for breakfast and the often visiting deer and wild turkey. After breakfast, keep up with your family and friends on our internet. Take a short walk to the famous, spectacular Twin Falls, spend the day splashing in the creek, or read in our lounger. Long Shoals Roadside Park is only a 10-minute drive from the cabin on scenic Hwy. 11, where you can enjoy sliding down a large rock into a cool mountain stream. Take a night-trip trout fishing on Lake Jocassee with James Couch, or take the family on a spectacular day trip only 6.2 miles from the cabin. Travel to picturesque Cashiers or Highlands, known for their boutique shops, or take the kids rafting on the Nantahala river, horseback riding at the Pisgah Forest Riding Stables, or a scenic steam train ride through the Great smokies mountains in Bryson City. Sports fans can conveniently travel to "root on" either the Clemson Tigers or Furman Paladins to a victory! In the fall, drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the beautiful foliage, or ski Sapphire or Maggie Valley in the winter. Whether you choose to spend your days at our cozy cabin or wish to venture out on daily excursions, we believe we've provided the perfect cabin.

We had a great time on our 2 night trip. Wsh we had more time there. The cabin was so clean and homey. Loved the creek outside and the waterfalls that are within walking distance were fabulous!We didnt have any issues while we were there so we didn't have to contact the host during the trip. But we did text before we got there and the host was very quick to respond. All in all we had a WONDERFUL experience there and would definitely go back.

Excellent quiet location right on the creek! House had everything you need. Host was great, very quick to respond to all questions! Short hike to twin falls was beautiful. Perfect spot for our familyā€”would definitely stay there again!

I canā€™t say enough good things about this sweet cottage. The creek running through the front yard, the fire pit, the fact that it was the ownerā€™s grandparents and there were signs everywhere of many years of love lived out here.. butterflies, hummingbirds and the sounds of rushing water.. I didnā€™t want to leave! My family loved it :) and our LSU Tigers beat Clemson so.. it was a win/win

We really enjoyed staying here, it is a great place. The location is beautiful, in the country, the creek running by, we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch, roast marshmallows/hot dogs on the fire, and fishing in the creek (which was successful, but mostly small suckers). The house was spacious for the 5 of us. The home reminded me of my grandmothers house. We walked from the house to the waterfall which was lovely and spent the day at Lake Jocassee. Would stay here again.

We had a delightful stay here! The cabin is so well stocked & thoughtfully arranged with ample seating, inside & out - would be great for a couple of larger families to enjoy together. The highlight for us was the creek - such lovely sounds to enjoy all day and night. Our senior dog loved being in the creek; it was his favorite place. Twin Falls was a fun outing - loved it being so close. We enjoyed all the hummingbirds and butterflies, too. Melanie is a great host, so responsive and kind. Weā€™d definitely come back!

Fantastic home for a family getaway. Loved the large table/bar in the kitchen and plenty of comfy beds. Close to three different state parks for hiking and lake fun, and of course the waterfalls and creeks right at the property. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent place to stay. So peaceful right next to the stream. Very near a beautiful waterfall. Hostess was very helpful. Although cell service & internet was very spotty in the area, the owners give you WiFi access. My granddaughter & I had a wonderful time. Very clean, very relaxing

The cabin is just beautiful in such a remote place very nice, beds are comfortable, my husband caught some brook trout, we had a great time, the only negative thing was i had to wash every dish we used, but there are so many to keep track of for the cleaning person, nothing needed ty so much

Creekside Cottage Hidden Gem

My wife, two boys, daughter, and myself stayed at this wonderful hidden gem tucked away in the South Carolina hills. To start off the drive to the cottage is an adventurous windy road canopied by trees. The cottage is right next to a relaxing creek. There are several areas to enjoy nature and listen to the water. There is a very cool waterfall just a short walk from the cabin. In the evening we watched 5 deer walk through the property. Check in was extremely simple and our host answered any questions we had very quickly. We stopped and grabbed groceries before going to the cottage. This was suggested by our host and I really appreciated it since the closest grocery store is in town about 30 mi minutes away. I highly recommend the Creekside Cottage and would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place to relax. The creek was so enjoyable and we loved the waterfall nearby! The fireflies were so cool to see in the evening and it was awesome to see deer so close! We chose this place to be home base while we explored lake Jocassee, Stumphouse tunnel, and Hendersonville. Honestly, I would have been just fine remaining at the house! The owner was very responsive and helpful when needed. If I could give more stars, I would.

Cute house and wonderful location.

Picture perfect home next to a mountain brook. The home is well appointed and maintained. We had very pleasant evenings in the nicely landscaped yard with a fire pit and room for the kids to play. The location is really, really nice. While the home is quiet and remote it is also centrally located when it comes to the area attractions (lakes, parks, etc). In addition to the hiking, we spent time on Lake Jocassee, went horseback riding and zip lining. The Twin Falls waterfall is a 15 minute walk from the house. 100% recommend and hope to return one day.

A Little Slice of Heaven!

We had the best time staying at the Creekside Cottage! My husband grew up fishing this creek as a child and it was so great to bring him home for the holidays. The location was nothing less than sublime. We were the first guests to stay there after Hurricane Helene. While the landscape changed from some of the photos, Melanie let us know immediately when making our reservation, and we had already been expecting some changes. We canā€™t say enough about what a Herculean effort it must have been for them to fix everything up and make it perfect. It was just amazing! Our dog, Bella, enjoyed exploring the property, the creek and the waterfalls with us too!The cottage itself was so cozy and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and provided a great nightā€™s sleep. Even though our stay was over a chilly Christmas, we sat out on the screened porch listening to the soothing sounds of the creek and even cracked the window at night to hear it.If you plan on doing some cooking while you are there, you do not need to bring anything from your kitchen at all. They had the most well-equipped kitchen Iā€™ve seen in a rental property and it was lacking nothing that we needed to prepare and enjoy our holiday feast.Melanie was a fantastic host and was very prompt in communicating with us. Check in and check out was seamless. We canā€™t wait to come back and enjoy the cottage again during the summer months!

Relaxing vibe

Beautiful rustic home, sprawling property, plenty of amenities, and creekside access. Wonderful mountain-esque retreat with great communication with the host. Our family truely enjoyed our stay. Full disclosure, second bathroom was in a separate building with a washer/ dryer and TV, which my husband absolutely loved.

Great cottage!

We loved The Cottage and the surrounding area. Very quiet and peaceful. The creek was beautiful and we loved sitting by the creek and reading. We made a trip to Bravard NC, short ride from the cottage. It is a pretty little town and worth visiting. Loved our stay!!

The cottage was so very comfortable it felt like home. The area is beautiful and so close to trails,falls and creeks. The creek the cottage is on is so relaxing. Peaceful

I canā€™t say enough about this property! Everything was just as the listing described but the photos donā€™t do it justice. The creek is so close to the house! We drove up to the parking area for Twin Falls which is very close and enjoyed the beauty of the falls. We relaxed in the creek for hours and enjoyed the screened in porch at night. All of the solar lights around the property are so pretty at night. Home was super clean and the creekside bedroom bed was super comfortable! Definitely will revisit in the fall!

My grandfather meet my grandmother in Pickens S.C and married her. They moved to Florida. All her family still lived in S.C. so he purchased this home for her to be able
to go back and visit her family. When they go older he passed it down to my father and mother where we enjoyed many summers vacations. As my children were growing up I took them up there every summer. I have never missed a summer up at our home since I was six and hope to be able to do this till I have to pass our beautiful cabin down to my children.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

The cabin is located within 30 feet of the creek and Twin Falls is in walking distance from our front door. The falls have a parking area if you would like to drive around the corner to
the falls instead of walking. The valley has beautiful views of the mountains. In Pickens (30 minutes away) on Wednesday they have Jockey Lot flea market just like the old fashion ones, lots of antique things and many different thing that you don't come across at regular flea markets. There is a nice park just 10 Minutes down the road, call Loan Shoal. were you can sit on the big bold rocks or slide down the long rock in to the big pool of cold water at the bottom.
