Hale Nalu is a roomy 3 bedroom, 3 bath home fronting the delightful Baby Beach and situated in a charming Poipu residential neighborhood. Spacious and appealing at 2,450 square feet, Hale Nalu features a beachfront master suite with Jacuzzi tub upstairs and a 2nd master bedroom downstairs, both with exquisite sunsets from the beachfront decks. Stunning hardwood floors, hot tub, outside beach shower and high speed wireless internet access are just a few of the amenities. Hale Nalu is a 5 minute walk from the dynamic Kukui’ula Village Shopping Center. Location and quality combine to make Hale Nalu the “akamai” (smart) choice, compared to other properties, for comfortable and casual living! King beds in the masters and 2 full beds in the guest bedroom.

This property includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and umbrella. Please feel free to call us if any of these items are missing during your stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We returned to Hale Nalu after renting it almost 20 years ago. It proved even better than we remembered. The home was spotless. The views were spectacular. And the sound of the ocean was transformative. Hale Nalu has everything we needed for the perfect, chill Kauai escape. Having plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards was bonus. On our last day, 2 monk seals came onshore at the baby beach right next door! We will return- and this time we won’t wait 20 years!

Gorgeous views and great location

Perfect stay on Baby Beach. Easy access to the sand and shopping/dining. Home is beautiful. Kitchen could be a little better stocked for such a nice home. The upstairs master does have a steep set of stairs and could be difficult if you had guests with limited mobility. The feral cat that visits is very friendly and we fed her as suggested but she didn’t eat much. Only had one BIG issue - water started running down thru a can light in the kitchen when one of the guests was using the upstairs jacuzzi tub. We called and left voice/text messages and never heard from anyone until the following morning - 12 hours later. The water did eventually stop flowing but if that were my home, I would have been a little more attentive to something so disasterous!

fabulous property in a great location.Loved our 40th anniversary with family and friends. enjoyed snorkeling, bicycling, tubing, tours and great food.

For the price, furniture is very uncomfortable (but stylist in old Hawaiian way). Dining chairs inside amazingly uncomfortable. Kitchen not outfitted well. Arrived to very strong old mop smell. Turned out to be washing machine. cleaned washer trap and left it open at night with overhead fan running to dry out, never went fully away. Cleaners and rental company should have been more responsive to smell.

Would definitely book again

We asked if they could supply a second coffee maker for a couple friends that drink decaf. Granted, they only advertise coffee pot. But when you lag over 11k I would expect that they would be more willing to accommodate a 20 request. Overall, I would book the property again but had a bad taste in my liutb with their unwillingness to accommodate a minor request.

A Kauai dream

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about Hale Nalu was perfect for our three-generation family (the youngest gen comprising a preschooler and a toddler). The house is beautiful and very well equipped. The lawn is great for kids to safely play, and Baby Beach is right there. We also drove just a few minutes to the beaches at Kiahuna and Poipu, and a little farther to Lydgate. The location is quiet and private, but everything we needed was close by. Garden Island Rentals was responsive, and the house was spotless when we arrived. Gear included plenty of towels and beach chairs, a good beach umbrella, toys for the kids, and an old boogie board. We loved making friends with Kona, the homeless cat who stopped by morning and evening in hopes of a meal (the owners provide the food), and my husband and I joined Poipu Kai Tennis Club for a week to join in their drop-in doubles. Our favorite family-friendly restaurant was Kauai Island Brewing in Koloa—excellent pizzas, salads, and burgers—and we also liked Mucho Aloha, Brennecke’s, and the poke and açaí at the Kukuiula Market. Oh, and the Thai food truck is good, too. We very much hope to return!

Wonderful week!!

This home is truly in a magical setting and is everything you could ask for! Grandparents, parents and grandchildren all had a joyful time and are sad to go home!! We enjoyed every day in our fully stocked home and couldn’t get enough of that gorgeous view! Mahalo!

Wonderful Location!

Terrific location for a relaxing stay away from it all but close enough to shopping and restaurants for a balanced vacation. Wonderful home which is well stocked and maintained right next to the baby beach. Saw some amazing sea turtles and monk seals while there and our family enjoyed the hammock and hot tub frequently after hikes or a long day at the beach. Will definitely be returning in the future! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Lounge chairs and hammock in the backyard facing the ocean was a great addition.- fully stocked kitchen, good appliances, everything worked- great location- in general, mostly clean (save for a few dead cockroaches in hard to reach places)- easy to find and access the house, check in instructions were clearCons:- slow communication. Would text the rental company with issues (as instructed in their emails to me), but would take several hours to hear a reply back. I even called and left a voicemail to report an issue, but it took nearly 48 hours for them to call back. - found two dead roaches in one of the bedrooms. Found underneath the bed and back of closet. Seems like these harder to reach places were not cleaned very well.- conflicting instructions on garbage day (one document said Monday, another said Thursday).Overall, would recommend and would stay here again.

Beautiful home and location

Lovely home with spectacular sunset and sunrise views. It is steps away from Baby Beach and is walking distance to shops and restaurants. Having two master suites was a bonus.

Incredible Beach House

Beautiful home and great location. Breathtaking sunsets and close to restaurants, shopping and beach access. We saw dolphins and turtles from our porch, and the HOT TUB was the best! It was so fun to sit in after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Hope to stay there again. Garden Island rentals was great to work with. A plus in my book.

And we could not have asked for a better vacation. My family and I had a wonderful time! The house was even better than the pictures. Very well kept, and clean. The views of the ocean were awesome. Waking up to the sound of the ocean everyday was calming and refreshing. We enjoyed our meals on the outside patio every day overlooking the ocean. The hot tub was a great addition to our relaxing experience especially after a long day of sight seeing and hiking. The property manager was very attentive and helpful. Would definintely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: Words or pictures cannot convey the beauty of this house - it's location, the view, the amenities, the top of the line fixtures and furnishings. Truly unbelievable. If you are like us you will look at the view each day and wonder if it's is! GIR was easy and pleasant to deal with. Everything you need is provided including beach chairs and towels, a beach umbrella, and various snorkeling stuff. Only negative was the low key construction going on next door. A bit of power tool noise was heard but wasn't too bad. Hopefully they'll be finished next year when we come back.

The location was fantastic, right on baby beach where you can snorkel and just enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The house was immaculately clean and had plenty of room for everybody in our l family. We will definitely book this house again!

Blissful stay!

There were six adults in our group, and we could not have enjoyed the house more. It’s so comfortable and the views are so amazing that we found it hard to want to leave. Whale watching from the deck. Large, well outfitted kitchen and comfortable beds. What more could you want? We loved it and highly recommend it. Garden Island Properties were also great to work with. Very responsive and helpful.

Incredible Property

Location and accommodations were spectacular. Couldn’t imagine a more scenic and romantic spot for an anniversary getaway. Sitting in the hot tub as the sun went down over the ocean is an experience that’s been seared into my brain. Really appreciate the amazing expereince.

We enjoyed the airy open vibe of the living space with a wonderful covered lanai for meals Al fresco, rain or shine! Loved star gazing from the hot tub. Location, access to shops, beaches a plus! Rented some bikes and the whole family enjoyed riding around the town from this great location. Kitchen well stocked for family cookups. Loved having beach chairs, umbrellas, loads of beach towels, such a plus! Will be back soon! Garden Island was very responsive and helpful. Easy in and out.
