Adirondack Cabin Getaway!

Nestled in the tall pines of the Adirondack, this cabin sits on a large parcel and offers privacy along with the warmth of an all pine interior with old style wide plank floors, exposed beams with hand scraped logs serving as the balcony rails. This 1600 sf cabin has a queen size bed downstairs and offers a loft area with 3 queens and a desk area. The screened in porch provides additional dining and sitting area and access to the rear deck with BBQ grilles and outdoor shower. Outside also has a nice fire pit to enjoy the cool nights in the mountains. Close by you have Lake George about 13 minutes away, Gore Mountain about 20 minutes away, plenty of hiking trails in Crane Mountain 10 minutes away. Like tubing or kayaking as the Hudson River is only 3 miles away along with many other water and activities within a short drive. Like shopping, the Designer Outlets, well just south of Lake George on Rt 9, you have your choice of over 50 outlet stores all in one area.

Great vacation cabin

This was out first time to Lake George and the Adirondack region. The cabin is very nice and fit our needs perfectly. The decor inside the cabin is amazing and everything we needed for our stay was provided. We enjoyed being a little further away from the main tourist area but still being close to all the attractions.

Family vacation

The cabin was away from the lake but close enough to do activities at the lake. Nice and quiet location. Cabin was great. The screened in porch with table was nice to enjoy the cool weather.

Love this Cabin

Great little place! So comfy and cozy! The attention to detail in the decor is hard to miss. We went for a ski trip to Gore mt with my two boys and this place was just great. It was clean, private, and gad everything we needed. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Weekend bachelorette getaway

It is clear that the owners have a great deal of love and pride for this property. There is so much attention to detail. Very charming and rustic. More spacious than the pictures can show. Reasonable distance to the lake was great for our boating trip and then dinner near the village. There were 6 of us - we all loved it and would definitely come back again!

The perfect cabin in a secluded area

We booked Mike and Margaret's cabin for the Americade motorcycle event in Lake George. This cabin is adorable and super clean! The attention to detail in the decor and comfort is 10/10! There is plenty of space in the upstairs loft for people to have their own space. The beds are cozy and the outside area is perfect for your morning coffee, chit chat with the family, or peace and QUIET. The area around the cabin is picture perfect! We were greeted by the caretaker upon arrival and she offered us assistance in anything we may need. My partner's motorcycle was having some trouble about a day in and she was able to provide him with some oil without asking anything in return. She is super sweet! I believe it is mentioned in the description, but the cell service is not good in the area (fine by me) but the cabin has great wifi. I look forward to booking this cabin again. Thank you Mike & Margaret!

Just what we needed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin in Thurman, NY. It was a very comfortable home away from home for us. We were able to do most everything we set out to do, horse races, Lake George boat cruise followed by lunch at a nearby waterfront restaurant, kayaking, etc., etc. But with all the activity, I think we were most content just spending time enjoying the peaceful woodland setting that this wonderful place provides. The place was clean, comfortable, and provided everything one needs to relax and enjoy. Would definitely recommend and would (likely will) stay here again! Thank you Mike & Margaret!!!

Fortunate Twist of Fate

Peace and quiet in the pines

We found the cabin to be a good base for exploring the Lake George and southern Adirondack areas. The cabin was very well equipped for cooking. All appliances worked, with the exception of some burned out lights. Wi-fi was quite reliable for communication. One item to note if renting was the lack of a washer and dryer, so you need a plan to get your clothes washed.

Beautiful Property - impeccably condition!

We rented this property for a mini family reunion. The lodge is beautiful- decorated with a practical whimsy- and perfect for comfy conversations. The highlight? A campfire spent trying to identify owls by their hooty songs!

Relaxation after holidays 2021

This was a great spot for our family of four to totally relax. We cooked meals, played board games and read books while enjoying the beautiful cabin atmosphere and watching the snow fall outside. Thank you!

Just right.

Everything needed for the away from real life. Wifi and tech worked when we wanted it to … local town provided the rest. All the sites small trips away and cabin sitting for a day or two was just as wonderful. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

House was located an a really pretty forest of pines. Beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. Thoughtful amenities What was disappointing was the propane for the fireplace appeared to be empty so we were not able to use the fireplace our entire stay. ☹️

Beautiful cabin in a secluded location

Cabin was as described and was very pretty...family enjoyed our stay...it is secluded and extremely quiet...about 20 minutes away from lake george...at night it is pitch black out and is very peaceful...a great getaway from your getaway!

Bachelorette Party

We stayed here to be close to Lake George to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette party. The house is stunning, very clean and well kept! About 20 minutes away from everything we planned to do. There were 7 of us and we slept comfortably. Thank you for the wonderful experience and we plan to revisit your beautiful cabin again!

Family Reunion

We enjoyed our stay here with our family - the house was sparkling clean, beds were very comfy and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the caretakers (Michelle and Jim) who were nice enough to lend us an iron and suggest places to eat and where to kayak.

We both spent 2 years building this Adirondack cabin and have enjoyed it immensely over the last 14 years. Now it is time to let others enjoy this quiet mountain retreat.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Do yourself a favor and venture out onto the street late a night with clear skies. Make sure the exterior lights are off on the house. Give your eyes a couple minutes to then look up to the sky!! Being at the 1500' elevation, the clear crisp skies of the Adirondacks and no ambient light from streetlights, cars or neighbors... you will be amazed as you see more stars then you ever have in the past. The view is absolutely stunning.
