Step directly from the house onto the boardwalk to the community pool, or to the beautiful white sand beaches to collect shells and bird watch. Recovery Room is happy to host your dog as well during your stay.

Great tidy place right on beach with pool access. Large space with comfy couches and beds and even beach decor. Lots of stairs but nicely done. It’s obviously a rental and the kitchen could use some serious updates and a few functional things. Under counter lights, stove light or even fridge light did not work. Fridge popped loudly every time it was opened. Cleaning crew didn’t leave any bath towels in upper bedroom but we were able to take some from one downstairs. Enjoyed the view, access to beach and would definitely stay again.

Vacation Stay

The location is beautiful. After the storm passed through, someone was immediately on the property to clean up. The pool was cleaned daily.

Beautiful View - Perfect Getaway

We loved our stay at Recovery Room! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, it was a short walk down the boardwalk to the beach, and the views were gorgeous! The only downside is that there are lots of stairs, but we managed just fine. We hope we can book there again next year.

We enjoyed the location with it being close to the beach. However the hot water heater did not work, they came to fix it (came in the house when we weren't at the beach with no warning that someone wa sin the house)

Great mid winter break

The house was clean, quiet, spacious and beautiful. I loved the location and the views.The beach access was great. Each bedroom having a full bath was an added benefit. The screened in decks were amazing. We just loved it there and would recommend it to any family or group.

Great Location

Very clean beachfront home. Kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Great screened in porches on the first and second floors. Enjoyed the third floor deck. We will be back.

Tranquil

This beach home was perfect. Very quiet and not touristy. The beach was perfect for sand castles. Only complaint was the floor at beach level the bathroom shower didn't work nor did the tub stopper BUT there was 3 other bathrooms to use so it wasn't any damper on our vacation. The beach and pool was our favorite part! Wish we could've stayed longer!!

A Great Location and a Great Getaway

The Recovery Room was the perfect beach getaway with 3 comfortable bedrooms with ensuite baths, and decks on all 3 levels. The pool was literally out the back door, with the beach a 5 minute walk from the pool. The kitchen, entry doors, and wood rails could use some “love”, and I recommend bringing beach chairs and towels as well as kitchen supplies as we found that many items needed to be washed before use (a careless past renter perhaps?), and the unit needs new pots and pans. Another note – I expressly asked about parking 3 cars as we were coming from 3 states and I was told there was only space for 2. This required changes to our plans so we could carpool, but in actuality, the driveway could easily accommodate 3 if not 4 cars. Regardless, it was a great stay and one I’d happily repeat.

Recovery Room Nov 2023

Overall, a very nice place in a great location. The place was well stocked, clean and had everything we needed. Vacasa added a nice touch by delivering a welcome basket of goodies our second day. We take three to four trips a year, mostly in and around Florida and Recovery Room and Vacasa got this one right. Would stay here again and will recommend Vacasa to friends and family.

Girls Trip

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, comfortable and we could bot have asked for a better location. The kitchen was well stocked. The only cons were the dishwasher smelled horrible and the door knob fell off the door accessing the deck on the 3rd floor and was not fixed prior to our departure. Unfortunately, we never got to use it. Would definitely stay here again.

Recovery Room Respite

Lovely home & well furnished! Comfortable beds . No ice maker & lots & lots of stairs. Enjoyed the screened in porches😀 Nice wide beach & not crowded. Horseback riding on the beach as well as Turtle Nesting ! The shared pool was especially nice for grandsons.

Area was great. Loved the beach. Communication was aweful. Clearly they are using AI, multiple responses to my questions that are days later with zero help. Would not stay again because of that. I will not stay at another property managed by vasca.

Family vacation

Very pleased with this location. Quiet beach, close to restaurants and shopping. House has a few updates since the last pictures. Very comfortable beds. Very nice house. Would rent again. Loved our stay. Tip, keep the upstairs door shut to help keep the room cool. It was warmer than the other floors but was comfortable for us. Not an issue at all.

Port St Joe

Enjoyed our trip to Port St Joe! Clean condo and quiet location. Well maintained and gorgeous views for sure. All the conveniences were provided. Could use a few upgrades. Front door padlock would not work. The living room TV/cable matching experience needs an upgrade. The refrigerator door sounds broken. But overall a nice vacation experience. Would recommend.

Perfect family house

Some of the reviews made me nervous but I found this house to be a great fit for 3 families. The listing originally said it had 2 parking spots but you could easily fit 4 cars or midsized SUV’s. The location was perfect. It was very quiet and about 15 minutes away from the center of town. The pool was empty most of the day until about 3 pm. There was ample space on the beach to spread out. The ocean water isn’t as clear as Destin but I’d take the laid back vibes of Port St Joe any day of the week. I do have a few suggestions for the owners. There are definitely not enough towels and wash rags. There might’ve been 3-4 wash rags and about 8 bath towels so you do have to run the washer daily. The bottom floor bedroom only had a clear shower curtain liner, no actual shower curtain which was odd. Overall, the house had everything else we needed - comfy beds, TV’s in every bedroom, hairdryers, irons and my personal favorite, a box fan! It also had a variety of beach chairs, skim board and beach umbrella. I’d definitely visit again and recommend the house to others. Thanks for hosting us!

Stairs were a problem. Lock on front door is old and needs replacing. Remote(3) in living room , Need detailed instructions on how to operate. We had to call numerous times on both issues. The downstairs mattress was too soft for us.

Great place

Pros: There is plenty of room here for a family of 6! The top floor is a master suite with a beautiful bathroom and cool deck. Every bedroom has a bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Each bedroom and the living room have TVs with plenty of streaming services. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary supplies. The first floor back bedroom opens to a screened in deck which leads out to the boardwalk; the shared pool is literally steps away and it's an easy walk to the beach from here. The beach is relatively empty; plenty of room to spread out. You can drive on the beach if you purchase an annual permit ($500). Cons: There are a lot of steps; the first floor has 2 bedrooms and the laundry; the second floor is the living room, dining room and kitchen and has a great screened in porch. The other bedroom is on the 3rd floor. There is only one garbage bin outside; for a large family, that's not nearly enough for all the trash, especially on check out day. While the place was very clean, the 1st floor deck was a mess when we arrived. I reached out to the company twice, but no one ever came to clean it. It wasn't too big a deal, but thought I would mention it. The pull-out sofa bed is very uncomfortable.
