However, the owners can remotely access the AC to assist guests in the lower unit with regulating the temperature when needed.

The noise from the condo above was ridiculous! It sounded like a herd of elephants running around. You could hear everywhere they walked and exactly what they were saying and listening to on tv. When the furnace turned on it sounded like a Mack truck driving through the living room. Also neither of the two bedrooms have windows which does not seem safe in case of a fire.

The washing machine was fixed the same day we reported it was not working. It will be nice for the place to have a dinning table in the living room area; the two barstool in the kitchen facing the wall and having a narrow place to eat is not comfortable.On the website there is a terrace, and there is none. The shower floor needs to be cleaned so no mildew shows. The handrail on the right hand when coming down needs to be fixed; it is loosed.

Ok for quick getaway

This property is convenient to main street, tubing, restaurants, etc. this particular unit does not have access to control its own HVAC temperature as the main thermostat is located in the upstairs unit. You could hear almost every move the upstairs neighbors made, especially when walking - sounded like they were gonna start line dancing at any minute. The yard between the condo and riverbank had dog poop so you had to watch where you stepped. There was no relaxing sitting area near the river and the unit is about 50-60 yards from the river bank. You can't see much of the river from the condo. There is no porch for you to sit outside and try to see the river. The condo itself is small but good for a short stay. The couch in the living room is not comfortable and feels worn out. The only window in the condo, located in the living room, has no blinds and very sheer curtains so you do feel exposed during the day and night.

Overall the condo was very clean and neat….we were overall satisfied with the condo itself. Be aware that the screened in porch that is visible in the picture is padlocked and not usable and it is a very long walk to town.

The location was perfect, it was a short but beautiful walk to downtown Helen. We went for Oktoberfest and it was a great time! The apartment was clean for the most part. I did notice some spiders and webs in the corners of the walls. I’d say they could be a little more detailed when cleaning and vacuuming. Overall, a good experience aside from the 10AM check out.

Horrible stay and very disappointed.

It was clean and cute. But there were no HVAC controls and the Ac wasn’t working. No hot water in the shower but there was everywhere else. The condo was hot at night and nobody could sleep. Pictures were deceiving.

Very disappointed

Property did not live up to the photos we saw. The property was freezing when we went in and there was no thermostat to control temperature. Only a couple space heaters. After communicating with Vacasa, we learned the unit above us is where the owners live and they control the heat. They told us they would try to get in touch with them but that is ridiculous to even think we can’t control our own temperature. We had no results and left the property and checked into a hotel Friday evening. Will not use Vacasa. Asked for a refund and were told they would put a ticket in. Not what we’re expecting for our anniversary. Very disappointed.

Read before you rent

At first glance and by the photos online it appeared to be a clean condo with a lovely view of the river. The unit upstairs controls the heater and we were cold every day. We asked for more heat and an additional heater because the one provided was inefficient. They did adjust the heater. Wee amount. We resorted to using the oven for heat. The additional portable heater never arrived. The existing portable has two speeds. High and off The shower is single unit dorm size and bathroom a large utility closet. There are no hooks to hang towels-2 hand towels only but plenty of other clean towels. Bring your own TP. the provided TP is junk. The washer dryer are in the dining room. All placemats were dirty and used. Some dish towels were also. Need a whisk. Fire extinguisher is in sealed box under sink. Good thing we didnt need in a hurry. Kitchen placemats and “tablecloth” (which is actually an old curtain folded in half) were dirty. Microwave and stove top were pretty gross. All ice trays are broken crumbly junk. Bedroom: we took off all decor pillows and bedspread immediately. They were dirty and smelled. 2 pillows on bed had cases. 4 additional pillows in closet however no cases. Bedroom is coldest room. Outside of bedroom is the stair case that goes upstairs it is covered by a sheet of plastic and a shower curtain and has a sign saying not to touch it. It is right outside the bedroom door which made us quite uneasy. The bedroom smells like urine. All drawers were dirty. The bed was comfy but the bedroom is literally all bed. Prepare to walk sideways to get to the closet which can double as an icebox. To get to the bathroom you must either go through the kitchen and dining room or across the living room. The couch in the living room has a broken recliner. The couch blanket provided was filthy. Your view from the living room is junk from the neighbors who smoke constantly, and a few old sheds. The beach area had trash and broken glass everywhere. You’re across from the water park. Although it was closed, the repairs during winter were constant noise, loud music, sawing, nailing ...will be noisy @summer The curtains in the living area offer no privacy at all. The front door is a keypad. No instructions were given in how to lock when we left. We did figure out. No key. The front door is split at the lock as if the door were kicked in at one time. Parking is good. Town is cute, friendly. We will come back to Helen. not to this unit ☹️

It was just ok. Nothing too bad or too exciting. There is no way to control the temperature. The ppl above us were extremely loud when walking. It wasn’t nasty but it wasn’t very clean either. Beds were comfy. We were only there to sleep anyway. So it was “ok”

Stay in Helen

The layout of the house was not functional. I reached out to you to find out were the thermostat for the heat was. I received a call the next day on Wednesday at 3:00 pm. I was informed that the heat would be bumped up because the thermostat was located in the condo above us. It was never adjusted and it was very cold at night in the condo. The bed was very soft and was very hard to get sleep.

I would not stay here again

A week before our stay I called due to a death in the family. I was told that they could not move or reschedule or reservation. They were very insensitive to something that was out of our control. When we arrived, the room smelt like weed and there is supposed to be no smoking on the property per the website. We brought in out things and went to leave and the door would not stay locked. After I reached out after some time it mysteriously locked and we were able to leave to do some activities. The satellite tv kept going off even though there was no bad weather/storms. I tried to watch Netflix and it wouldn’t let me even when I tried to cast it to the tv thru my phone. I got so frustrated with it and exited out of Netflix. It turned to a black screen and just said exiting for over 30 mins. I turned of the tv and back on and it was still showing exiting. I had to restart the whole satellite to make the tv work again. The tv situation was so aggravating you didn’t even want to try to watch it. The kitchen was under stocked- it literally had 1 bowl to eat out of. The smoke alarm went off as it was so close to the stove. You have no control of the AC. The people upstairs were so loud it sounded like it was fight night upstairs. I complained and was told that they do not manage the upstairs unit that I would have to call the authorities. The shower was smaller than a closet- if me or my husband was any bigger we would not have been able to shower. Even my 6 year old was complaining about not having any room to move. Either the walls/ door were touching you the entire time. It was not as close to the river as the site made it seem to be. We came back from putt putt one night and there wasn’t a single light in the entire complex on/ working. We ended up leaving the night before so that we could go home and get a goods night sleep. I would not stay here again.

Cozy little spot

Upon entry, We were impressed. It smelled and appeared clean. It wasn’t dusty at all. The bathroom and kitchen plus appliances were very clean. The room was very clean, walk in closet was perfect, sheets were clean and bed comfortable. The only things that made me go 🤔 “hmm” was that there was no washer and dryer and the noise from the upstairs tenants walking around was bothersome. Other than that, everything was great.

Loud above people

The condo was nice, the dining room could easily be turned into a second bedroom. The people upstairs was very loud. The place was very cleaned and stocked with linens and items you may need on a long stay

Great location

The location was central to everything and you could drive to Helen within 5 minutes. We never tried walking and the road leading to Helen didn’t seem very pedestrian friendly. But it was easy to find parking. The apartment was well stocked with everything you would need for an overnight visit.

The perfect little getaway

The entire stay and experience was excellent: from the instructions and preparations beforehand to the stay and check out later. The property was just as described with a few nice and personal details added here and there for the upcoming holidays. It was very clean and well organized. Check in as well as check out were quick and simple. I would love to come back and I would definitely recommend there.
