A group of us were heading to Columbus for the Arnold fitness expo, and didn't want to stay in town. The cannery Hen House was a good spot for us. Cute older farm house, with lots of eclectic decorations. Homemade bread and jam on arrival, and a beautiful property that we would've ordinarily enjoyed if it weren't winter. While well decorated, clean, and well cared for, it's still and old farm house, and has those traits that old farm houses have. This includes squeaky floors, and a pretty squeaky stair case.
Very large main floor bathroom. All three bedrooms are up stairs together with an up stairs bathroom. Perfectly isolated half bath off the kitchen. The decorations are largely to period as well, which I personally think is neat, but your mileage may vary.
We had some minor septic issues while staying which made the shower drain slowly (and stopped draining the last day). Jeannie was very responsive, and tried to get the issue corrected during our stay, but wasn't able. It wasn't a huge inconvenience. Mainly due to this, and the cost potentially being a little high this time of year that I felt it was a four star vs five star endeavor. Overall, nice place, and good host.
