A paradise for cycling - rented & delivered bikes at the TO of Montbard. A haven full of charm 1 h TGV from Paris!

"I like the alliance of charm and simplicity that makes "La Maison de Coeur" a perfect place to feel quiet in the gardens or to visit the surroundings by bike or car - numerous historical sites - or even take a trip to Paris - 1 hour by TGV from Montbard or 2h TER !
The house is at the very heart of a small village : Cry/Armançon. A charming place, surrounded by fields and forests, cows and sheep ; lovely river with an area to play and picnic, old bridge, church and crypt of the XI c.
At 200m : the BURGUNDY CANAL ! Ideal for cycling !
Bread and croissant, take away dishes at the café-restaurant just facing the house !
Food shopping ? In the next village 5mn car, or 20mn by bike along the canal, or simply waiting for deliveries at home : butcher and grocery !

DESCRIPTION
"La Maison de Coeur" can comfortably accommodate 6 to 7 people with its 3 bedrooms, one living room and a large kitchen, and 2 gardens ( 200m2 +300m2). It is an old but practical house with a lot of charm, for those not seeking luxury, but loving calm, in a spirit of respecting the neighbors, home and gardens.
LOCATION duration : whole week from Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise agreed.

1- Garden level
1 bedroom, 140cm bed / bed spring, adjoining bathroom, WC, washing machine. Barn with garden furniture + barbecue + various kid garden toys (COVID period : family clean them with alcohol after use).

2 - On the main level:
Large kitchen (induction hob, oven, freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, blender, NO microwave), living room, bathroom with tub and toilet.

3- On the upper floor, two bedrooms:
- Room 1 with 160cm bed/bed spring+ stow-away bed of 90cm.
Closed by a curtain.
- Bedroom 1 double bed 140cm/bed spring+ 90cm/bed spring +foldable baby crib with high edges. Closed by a door.

HIGHLIGHTS of "La Maison de Coeur" are, in my opinion :
- CHARM AND SIMPLICITY.
- THE GARDENS - perfect to feel at home ; ideal for barbecues and lounge chair, or simply to drop bicycles coming back from the canal...
- EASY LIVING: 2 train stations (TER 5mn and TGV 15mn), grocery stores or markets (5mn or 15mn by car), grocery delivery twice a week, and quality butcher delivery once a weak...!
- BAR-RESTAURANT opposite the house for bread and croissant, a coffee or burgundy aperitif, lunch or take away dishes to be eaten in the garden...
- RAPID refreshing or heating of the house, simply by pressing a button (heat pump).

Concerning the "TECHNOLOGY", it is a house with internet but without TV or microwave...
This old house also has a special feature in the two upstairs bedrooms, the floor "sings" under the feet. This is not the case of the room on the ground floor.
Church bells may wake you up in the morning ! The Angelus is at 7 am... Some people just love it. Some people don't even notice...!

At your disposal in the kitchen : our homemade guidebook with lots of photos that the hosts find very convenient to find everything : WIFI code, where to find what, practical addresses, days of the grocer's or butcher's delivery, pleasant walks, sites to visit - known and less known etc.

WHICH PARTS OF THE HOUSE ARE OPEN ?
"La Maison de Coeur" is entirely accessible except 3 rooms, on the ground floor. The barn is open too, but it is asked not to play ball in it, and it is strictly prohibited to climb the heights of the barn.
Chimney fires are forbidden (trap door out of order).

HOME LINEN
TWO POSSIBILITIES :
- not supplied - unless otherwise agreed.
- If you want it to be provided, extra charge of 7 € per person for sheets, pillowcase and towel. 2 dish towels. Invoiced via Airbnb (with no additionnal commission fee).
Just let us know when you book or soon after.

IN ALL CASES, YOU WILL FIND AT HOME - linen supplied or not :
- pillows, two comfortable mattress protectors per bed, blankets and duvets, bolsters ...
- bathroom : 1 hand towel + 1 roll of toilet paper.
- OUTSIDE COVID PERIOD : some oil and vinegar, salt, spices, tea and other herbal tea cupboard. Everything is indicated in the guidebook of the house!
- garbage bags, household products, sponges and rags.
NOTA BENE: NO DISH TOWEL PROVIDED.

HOUSECLEANING
TWO POSSIBILITIES :
- Cleaning charge 70 € to be specified in advance, ideally when booking.
- Or quality housecleaning by your own. In this case, we ask our guests to leave the house in the state of cleanliness where they found it. It is important for us that our hosts engage in this task responsibly, as it may be impossible to find someone at the last minute to clean before the arrival of new guests. It would be a very uncomfortable situation for everyone.
An efficient household of 2 good hours is enough. If not, more...!

FINAL TIDYING UP
IN ALL CASES, we ask our guests to tidy up of the house, garden and barn, unless otherwise agreed.
The home guidebook with all the photos is at your disposal in the kitchen, so it not complicated !
In case of clearly insufficient tydying up, we will then have to do it for you; this may justify the request for payment of additional fees.

HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING
We thank our guests for turning it off in the unoccupied rooms, or when leaving the house.

INTERNET and THUNDERSTORMS
Do you go on a ride or stay at home?
In case of RISK OF THUNDERSTORM, THANK YOU to take the precaution of DISCONNECTING ENTIRELY THE BOX : electrical outlet + telephone jack.

SHOPS
All shops and market Friday morning (organic producer): Montbard 16km, small but great supermarket in Ravières 6 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bike along the canal. Bread in the café facing the house. Great bakery-pastry in Nuits, 5 mn car.
Deliveries of grocer and butcher in the village... (detail in the manual at home)

BABY AND SMALL CHILDREN
"La Maison de Coeur" has 2 staircases:
- an interior wooden staircase. The space between the bars is standard and without any risk for babies. In revenge, the wooden steps are without countermarch (see photo). Please set the protective barriers (photos in the guidebook will help to install them), baby surveillance audio system with nightlight + one more night light.
- an exterior stone staircase leading from the garden to the kitchen. The bars of the ramp are wider than the norms and so you have to make sure to install the protective barriers at the kitchen door or watch the little ones.

BABY EQUIPMENT
- foldable bed with high sides, baby bottle warmer, one high chair, tableware and some cutlery, one bib, plug protections, a baby seat relax, a foldable park, a baby bath tub with its soft fabric seat.
NO CHANGING TABLE, only a plastic mat for change.
- OUTSIDE COVID PERIOD : Toys, clean stuffed animals, lego, train, pencils and markers, Monopoly, chess, Scrabble, Trivial pursuit ...
- In the barn: tricycle, tractor, small bike...
COVID PERIOD : hosts are requested to clean them with alcohol after use and before they store them back. Thank you !
